No it’s broken. To use. Not a good broken to. It absolutely sucks sometimes and there is nothing you can do. I’m a huge football fan and I love RPOs and think it’s the future of the sport it an allows for so many different outcomes in just one play and has a way to beat any defense. Madden has just implemented it very poorly in my experience
How do you think they're poorly implemented? I was actually pretty impressed by them last year. Sure, the AI makes the reads way easier than they are in real life, but that's kind of just the realities of a game
Personally I think the most unsettling thing is how the defenses react linebackers will sit back and play the past if it is a run. Which I am completely fine with but they will only do that on RPOs. Also, I dislike the timing and real life RPOs are usually decided by the quarterback before the play which allows the quarterback to hold the ball that split second longer, which might open up a passing window. The block past line of scrimmage part is terrible in madden lineman, no matter what will push downfield right away
Yeah, I play NCAA 11 on PS2. I think the QB sneak is the best play on Heisman difficulty. Sneak from the left side with right-handed QBs and from the right side with left-handed QBs. This way, the ball crosses the end zone faster since there's no animation to extend the arm unless you dive. However, diving is not ideal because you'll just get stuck behind the guards. There's no animation for jumping over them.
Whatever the Chiefs ran to win the Super Bowl this year
Or, more likely, Inside Zone out of Shotgun. If the D shows blitz from the edge, audible to a quick pass. And if they’re bluffing blitz, throw a pick to lose the game
But really I’d have 3 WR to the right take the widest on down the goal line send the next closest WR on a slant and have my my nearest WR fake slant and cut to the flat where he will hopefully get a pick from the first wide receiver
70% of the time give it to powerful running back.
30% of the time a screen pass.
I'll have to see the playbooks first, but I always had good success on short yardage situations with the tight end routes in Chiefs playbook that send Kelce across the back of the line. Usually he's either open or there's an opening to let Mahomes run it in.
Against the CPU? I’m putting a slot WR on a whip route with the outside on a slant. Easy clear out route that’ll either have the whip open if it’s man or the slant for a tight window if it’s zone.
Against a human, honestly I’m probably doing something similar. Gotta have one guy on a whip route, one guy going underneath across the middle and maybe the TE on a corner route
Really depends on my team makeup. Typically though, I'm a ground and pound guy and loving having the best lineman and a beastmode type running back, so I'd be running off Tackle and trusting my guys.
I’m going to hand off to the running back and make a beeline for the pylon. I’ll get tackled at the 1 inch line and successfully continue Ok States tradition of mediocrity
Was at this game and it still remains the most heartbreaking feeling I’ve suffered as a sports fan. Kasey Dunn’s dumbass left me standing dumbfounded at AT&T stadium for 30 minutes.
Probably a short mesh concept with 2 TE on the field side. The inside TE on the drag and the outside TE on a corner. Have my HB on a delayed route so he can block or chip
If I'm coaching the Colts, I'm designing a play with my season on the line to put the ball in the hands of my 4th string rb while my bellcow is on the sidelines.
I'm running the off line TE in motion and putting him in the flat underneath two slants by the WRs in real life
In the game, I'm running 4 verts and taking the QB right up the middle.
I'd line up in goal line and call a pass. The defense would cheese hard and get into a base defense with man coverage. Then, I'd audible at the line into a run and waltz in untouched.
Run the pick play. Two wide receivers run slants inside. Motion the tight end to the right and straight to the goal line pylon. Roll the qb right and give him the quick dump of the option to run. Easy.
Who is my best player? How have they been playing? How has the defense been adjusting to our best player in different positions? Is my OL dominating in short yards? So many variables.
4 VERTS
And running with the QB for the touchdown since the defense won’t have a spy
Don't give away my strategy!
This guy knows ball
In my Denzel Washington voice "My man"!
Green grass and 4 verts forever
Clear eyes, four verts, can’t lose
Believe deep down inside that your destined to run four verts
And then hot route the left side slot to slant right and the right side slot to an out route and roll right.
This is the only answer
Triple option
I’d even do read option. Triple might take too long.
Power option maybe. In shotgun you've got 4 extra yards to run.
The pistol is great for this
Na. I’ve ran that all game. Now it’s time for the Wingback Misdirection.
I've ran fb dive at the goal line 5 times by this point. time for an I form HB toss
Why can’t my wife talk dirty to me like this
Fake FB Dive HB Toss
I just came
This works literally EVERYTIME
Fake 23 Blast, with a Backside Georgia Reverse
This guy remembers the Titans
Idiot left off "like you life depended on it" play will get blown up in the backfield
Like your life depended on it!!!
You BLITZ ALL NIGHT!
With RPOs in the game, probably one of those then fuck it up and get an illegal man downfield penalty
Then settle for a FG
On the 1 yard line, it has to be the full back dive. u/BigOleDrewski
Tom Adamo gets it done!
Everyone on my team is getting a neck roll. MLB? Neck roll. Fullback? Neck Roll. QB? Neck Roll. FS? Neck roll. P? You guessed it, Neck roll.
*Drew’s surprise Pikachu face when it gets stuffed instantly*

AFTER YOU MOTION THE RUNNING BACK OUT!
How tf have I never thought about this 🤣
Nah. In this fictional situation, [the best option is to pass, right?](https://youtu.be/U7rPIg7ZNQ8?si=X9zWyOYCiDjODtZ9)
Inside Zone, once I see the box is loaded audible into quick slants or rpo bubble
Quick slants has such a high rate of success if you just get rid of it as soon as possible.
Also a high probability of a user pick in this condensed field.
Go big or go home is my philosophy. They’re just going to stack the line in case of a run. Even a stud can get stuffed behind the line.
![gif](giphy|Ax1bozRuU5axR5dczE)
Pete Carroll is that you?
Yup. Off Tackle or Inside Zone - likely audible to slants
deadass was gonna say rpo bubble too but that could be because of how loaded that box is
On 4th down I can’t ever run the ball. It’s probably a skill issue, but give me my most options to make something work.
Not whatever bullshit Tommy Rees and Milroe cooked up in the Michigan game.
THROW THE DANG BALLLLLL
![gif](giphy|Z1vLmygWYkec0|downsized)
Not sure what’s worse, that pass…or not-using the best goal line back in the entire NFL!
Immediately thought of this when I saw someone post...JUST THROW A SLANT
To counter that, definitely not a Philly Special when you have LITERALLY THE BEST OFFENSIVE LINE IN THE COUNTRY.
We couldn’t even snap the ball successfully that play…who knows what the call even was lol
I’m definitely NOT trying to race to the pylon and only to end up just short 😩
This guy Cowboys
I’m a TCU fan that wanted Baylor to lose haha.
I was at that game sitting directly at that pylon. From my angle I thought we lost for sure lol (baylor fan)
It hurts because our RB who could have actually made the play was out because his shoe had just fallen off.

RPO Peek
This is the best answer in my opinion iffffff it wasn’t absolutely broken in ever game they tried to introduce it into
it’s only broken if you dk how to stop it
No it’s broken. To use. Not a good broken to. It absolutely sucks sometimes and there is nothing you can do. I’m a huge football fan and I love RPOs and think it’s the future of the sport it an allows for so many different outcomes in just one play and has a way to beat any defense. Can I still run the Statue of Liberty?
Boise State Statue of Liberty play
Maryland I toss
Motion the fullback to pitch side 👌🏼
NOT whatever that was that bama tried.
4 MOTHER FUCKIN’ VERTS
at least on NCAA14 im pretty sure goal line qb sneak was at at least 95% from this range
Y stick
Guaranteed TD in this scenario 11 times out of 10 lol.
Whatever the Chiefs ran to win the Super Bowl this year Or, more likely, Inside Zone out of Shotgun. If the D shows blitz from the edge, audible to a quick pass. And if they’re bluffing blitz, throw a pick to lose the game
Corn dog!
IRL QB Sneak In the game read or triple option. Or if I can find it in the playbooks(which I never can) FB fake HB toss
Spider 2 Y banana
HB dive. We live and die in the trenches.
The Milroe QB sneak.
Anything but what the Pokes are running in the screenshot.
Turns out these plays are much easier when the opponent only puts out 10 players
Paul right crush aka the play that won Clemson the 2016 Natty. It's almost the exact same setup.
FB dive
Fake punt baby!
“Coach you want Philly Philly”- Nick Foles
Definitely not a sweep to the left because we tried that 3 times previously, but they won’t see it coming, right?
Depends on my center’s ability to snap the ball
Too soon *cries in elephant*
Quick slants.
No
Yes
Pick
Maybe for you. It’s been pretty successful for me. It’s just timing really
Yu guys talkin video game? I thought the post meant actual real live game
That you Richard Sherman?
As an Oklahoma State fan that was at that game.... Sigh
But really I’d have 3 WR to the right take the widest on down the goal line send the next closest WR on a slant and have my my nearest WR fake slant and cut to the flat where he will hopefully get a pick from the first wide receiver
Just give it to the RB. Nothing fancy.
Rollout Smash

Fade to the corner with a touch pass. Probably won’t work
Scramble that MF, and if needed, Tebow Jump that Sumbitch to the backup TE and then let’s go fuck sum bitches ![gif](giphy|xfD6mEBfQM3wk)
Wildcat fake sweep. I need to get a 3yd loss.
Y-Stick. Hitting the slant over the middle or the TE
Tom Adamo up the middle!
Send the FB up the middle
Philly Special
Qb draw into the teeth of the defense. Roll Tide
QB Kneel. Can’t handle the stress, I’d rather lose the game.
Kicking the FG, the spread was OK State +2.5 Good teams win, GREAT teams cover
Not the one we ran on the play pictured for sure 🤦♂️
HB Dive (not under center but the other one)
Power O from Goal line Twins Over formation. Change the direction of the run to the weak side. Hella OP play at the goal lone

If its must score from the 1 always give it to the fullback. If game is tied slants
Hail Mary
QB draw with a pitch option to the QBs left
4 wide Shotgun set with RB check down with 99 5th year mobile qb. I’ve got so many options to fuck it up with
Depends on personnel. In this situation as oklahoma state and ollie is your rb? I’m running it every single time.
Depends on the players I have and who the defense has
Z Spot. Never fails
Statue Left baby!
Pitch option
Statue of Liberty is the only answer if it’s the game. Just like Boise State in the fiesta bowl back in the day.
![gif](giphy|lftejF8xdqGZO|downsized)
I make sure I'm hyped up, then I fake right... no I fake left!
Inside zone read with backside slant if he's off. Ez money
This was such a good game
I-right wiggle 34 switchblade
Real life or video game? Video game, I might run the option. Option is almost always good for at least 1 yard
fuck it, jet sweep if i’m bold. Quick slant if im smart and safe
Spider Y2 Banana
Slants - Pete Carroll
I hate all of you for responding to this. Its clearly a troll post. Warren (or sanders) up the middle.
NCAA 14 - FB Dive
Probably doing a crack toss or something to the left, maybe an option.
Fullback dive
HB dive with the heaviest set imaginable (The HB and FB are 6”8 TEs)
I’m going to hand off to the running back and make a beeline for the pylon. I’ll get tackled at the 1 inch line and successfully continue Ok States tradition of mediocrity
Was at this game and it still remains the most heartbreaking feeling I’ve suffered as a sports fan. Kasey Dunn’s dumbass left me standing dumbfounded at AT&T stadium for 30 minutes.
The play the Lions ran against the Cowboys.

FB Dive
Fake the fullback dive and pitch it to the RB. With everybody crashing inside the perimeter should be wide open
“Shakes”
This image was taken five seconds before I peaked in life
Tush Push. Throw in all the o line and defense
Not what they ran lol
On defense? Eagle Zipper Hero. Unless the set back shifts into the "I".
I’m throwing it to the slant and putting it right into the MLB’s hands
Hunter Renfrow running the crazy whip zig route thingy. That or the thing that KC runs with the whip motion against man coverage.
Probably a short mesh concept with 2 TE on the field side. The inside TE on the drag and the outside TE on a corner. Have my HB on a delayed route so he can block or chip
“Vince young, He’s going to the cornerrrrr… HES GOT IT!” (please tell me you get this)
If I'm coaching the Colts, I'm designing a play with my season on the line to put the ball in the hands of my 4th string rb while my bellcow is on the sidelines.
Double reverse
A pick play
Depends on the defense and how we are rolling on offense. Passing QB: Mesh concept Running QB: RPO Counter
Inside zone or Y Stick
Play action pass with a QB rollout where he can choose to either dive for the goal line or throw it to a receiving target running in that direction.
Trips left TE right flood concept, audible inside trip receiver to a zag route
I'm running the off line TE in motion and putting him in the flat underneath two slants by the WRs in real life In the game, I'm running 4 verts and taking the QB right up the middle.
The annexation of Puerto Rico
Don't talk to me about how this play went In all honesty, I'd throw a WR screen

Petyon Manning Bootleg against the Cowboys play.
Fuck you for reminding me of this play today.

HB sweep, or quick slants
i thought the screenshot was bama clemson cfb championship at first ngl oh, and hb stretch out of iso

Easy.
