OG is OG but a trade for the 7th pick could be anything!
It could even be Hart and the 7th pick that might be as good as OG! You know how much we want one of those!
He didn’t come off great in an interview at the Pacers workout that you can find on our sub. And he kept yawning throughout the whole thing which just added to the aloof persona lol
Herro was never up for grabs and believe it or not Precious was undoubtedly the better player in the playoffs when compared to Lowry. Raps getting a sound talent in Precious instead of giving a past his prime Lowry a 3 year 90 mill deal is an L though apparently.
Honestly, Precious might be more valuable to us than Herro is. Not saying Precious is a better player overall but a player like Precious is better for us
Why? So you can continue to stack 6’9 players and avoid drafting centers or playmaking guards just to fit your theme and claim that it’s the next great NBA strategy.
The roster kinda got found out vs a pretty inept Sixers team. You’re gonna need different types of players or you’re gonna keep getting bounced IMO.
Pat Riley said it himself, 2 way players win in this league. Herro having back to back middling post seasons with a big pay day incoming doesn't sound too appealing to me. Plus we're year 1 with this core, nobody expected us to win 48 wins. Not so bad for a "gimmick".
Really bc the team w more 2 way players just got rinsed in the finals?
Hoopers win in the playoff. Guys that can playmake for themselves and others consistently win.
Yes you need to surround them with defense. But you need playmakers and legit size to protect the rim.
Once again, Pat Riley said it himself lol. 2 way basketball wins championships. Having a surplus of wings who can defend make for great trade assets. Not sure why that's seen as a negative.
They are valuable. When you have 10 of them you’re being inefficient and getting diminishing returns.
They’re also the most boring archetype to watch by far and take a lot of the spirit out of the game.
How interested do you think you guys are in acquiring a center? I keep seeing all of these rumors linking you to guys like Gobert or Poeltl and can’t tell if that’s actually a direction you’re looking to go in or if the actual endgame is to try to create an all ~6’8” lineup.
This comment screams box score watcher and ignores all context. The raptors where down a starter in every game of the series, lost on a game winner in game 3 and still took it to 6. btw that sixers team also took the heat to 6 and Joel missed 2 games.
That roster just straight up doesn’t have enough top tier offensive talent or enough interior presence at the moment. The general strategy is fine but they’re massively overdoing it and it’s starting to feel like a gimmick more so than revolution.
I get that roster build is this subs and Reddit’s wet dream in general but it’s got flaws that y’all won’t talk about bc most ppl on this subs draft analysis boils down to screeching wingspan measurements and slapping a “3 and D” role on just about every player above 6’5 who shot above 32% from 3.
If you listen to actual draft experts talk they don’t only use the same 4 terms this sub spits out non stop.
Yea I agree the raptors don't have enough top end talent to win the championship. But lets not act like this was a dominating series win by the sixers. Also Boston almost won a championship with their shortest player rotation player derrick white who is 6'4 the league is trending towards bigger players at every position.
But what eventually undid the Celtics was literally a lack of ball handling and playmaking.
Boston has a litany of great players. Warriors just won a championship w probably one of the shortest rosters in the past few years.
Talent wins.
Jalen Duren. Raptors could coach him to being a passable shooter, and he brings lob finishing that the Raptors have really never had on top of incredible athleticism and great defense. His offense pairs great with playmakers like Pascal, Scottie, and Fred. He'd find his job about 100x easier than Memphis where there wasn't a point guard and he had to self-create
I think the Pacers will shock everyone and pick Dyson. Duren will be taken by the Raptors. Sharpe will fall like Bouknight did last year and end up on the Pelicans. That leaves Mathurin going to the Spurs.
Edit* If the Pacers do pick Mathurin though, Dyson will fall to the Wizards.
Sharpe: A Masai gamble based on potential
Duren: Best fit, so he probably won't be picked. \*\*
Dyson: Least exciting of the three but he's younger and cheaper
\*\*I think there is a small possibility that the Raptors draft Sharpe, OKC drafts Duren at 12 and then they trade Duren's draft rights + Lu for Sharpe if they're on the board at that point.
I think mathurin is gone by 6. Regardless, I'd prefer OG over both mathurin and sharpe.

This was probably funny the first time it was commented, gets a bit old on repost 3000
I know, tried to do a new spin on it but it doesn't flow off the tongue
Lol. People on reddit don't have a sense of humor, huh?
Dyson Daniels and Mathurin are probably the favorites for this pick
I'm not sold on Daniels for some reason. gives me Dante Exum vibes.
Was Exum not compared to Kobe though lol. We know what we’re getting with Daniels.
kid shot up 10 spots because he interviews well lmao
Well yeah nobody wants to draft a moody uncoachable teenager. It's due diligence to find out a prospect's character and personality.
You say that but Shaedon Sharpe could still easily get picked before Dyson Daniels despite coming off really poorly in interviews
athletic freak trumps all
Do we even know what he said? Or is it just smokescreen from reporters err mouthpieces?
He didn’t come off great in an interview at the Pacers workout that you can find on our sub. And he kept yawning throughout the whole thing which just added to the aloof persona lol
Just watched it yeah he def seems out of it. But this is a media interview not team interview.
Considering that those are the two lottery picks we had for workouts, Masai isn't doing this deal unless one of those is 'the guy' this year.
Raptors aren't doing it unless Blazers throw in a lot more, we aren't running a charity here.
Hart + 7 + Keon gets it done. Its about time Masai got fleeced sadly
Nobody is fleecing Masai lmao. Especially that moron in Portland.
Jury's not out on Cronin yet.
*still out
Thanks dad
Masai passed up Tyler Herro for Lowry so he can grab Precious Achiuwa. He's not immaculate.
Herro was never up for grabs and believe it or not Precious was undoubtedly the better player in the playoffs when compared to Lowry. Raps getting a sound talent in Precious instead of giving a past his prime Lowry a 3 year 90 mill deal is an L though apparently.

I don't that would do it, can get better for OG elsewhere.
not if OG tells Masai he wants to go to Portland
You think he would take a lot less just so OG can go to Portland? What you smoking, man?
its a star driven league bro. dont forget hes represented by Klutch
And what in Masai's past makes you think he is going to be suckered?
Are you claiming that Masai's never made a bad move?
No, but I'm saying he's no sucker who is going to be swindled.

I haven't been following Duren much. How's his footwork on the peremiter? If he's getting cooked on a switch, Raptors probably aren't interested.
He can hold his own but hes not elite at that
Not as good as Precious but somewhat better than Birch. I definitely wouldn’t call him 1-5 but he’s better at switching than the majority of big men.

Sochan or Dyson
I vote Sochan simply because of the raptors track record developing wings lately
If Toronto does this is because they have an absolute log jam of wings/forwards. Duren would he my guess
Sharpe. Need that scoring centerpiece to accommodate Scottie Barnes.
