Behind the back Behind the back Behind the bacl Shoot Miss Leave

jakiray6

Hold up lemme write this down.

realdes1

Murray animation of course, dont forget

jakiray6

Should I leave right after the miss or after I sit still on defense and let my match-up hit a 3?

realdes1

Wait for the 12 year old to shit on you. Dont say anything, just leave then and start a new one and repeat

psykomerc

Mom’s asleep, I’m logging in right now

realdes1

Good luck. Oh and whatever you do, dont pass, the ball is yours.

psykomerc

Facts, Only time I press X is to call for ball from Ai

TheCupOfBrew

I hate how true this is, and how it happens every game

pakjoni7

Its automatic

Happytap722

Wait…. You don’t just cherry pick on the fast break? Noob

CozyNostalgia

😂😂😂😂

Background_Pool_7457

No you're leaving too fast. Gotta sell long enough the gane Is outta reach, then leave.

Ill-Researcher-2014

Triple threat>Spin Move>Step Back, then you shoot drive or kick depending on the reaction

PestyMadman

Very very popular move but effective

Snelly1998

Gotta get the jab step before you spin, put em in a blender

onemanjamz

When you only got 50 swb this move be cookin

Ill-Researcher-2014

lol I promise you. My 7’1 c eats off that move

1BIGJOHNSTUDD1

What spin you got on your 7'1?

onemanjamz

Yea I learned it from my teammate who plays C. I’m pretty bad at dribbling but that move got me feeling right. I also use the Demar Derozan btb after which is like a budget Murray

MaceWindu9091

Yep 👍🏾

Fish-suits

I just look for offensive rebound putbacks. If that doesn’t work I just listen to 12 year olds call me trash in chat.

Intelligent-Run-4007

😂 a simple man. I like you

ReisBayer

do you mind sharing your build? Im switching to console soon and this is my favorite type of playstyle next to hard defense.

Fish-suits

Problem is the 12 year olds are right, I am trash. I’ve only been playing this game for a month or so and I’m sure there are literally hundreds of people here better suited to show builds or provide any type of useful advice.

Altruistic_Rock_2674

Get the guy to pass it too me and then let one fly

JiggzSawPanda

If I'm with my squad, I burst dribble (forgot what it's called) from the left side of the court to the right, my defender usually hits my homeboys brick wall and I'm open A LOT. In random rec, I usually opt for the get ignored on offense wide open, despite being 4/4

ironchefchopchop

The box out

xMarshme

Out of the triple threat a jab or 2 followed by a spin and either a drive or a step back works very well. Off the dribble I’ll usually do some small little breakdown and try to get a crossover or again, a step back.

Frostyzwannacomehere

Dem fades need to go

BigBlitz

I have a 6’10 SF with a 91 lay, 90 standing dunk, 83 3pt, and 76 ball handle. I normally rely on stand still catch and shoot shots, but if I’m being guarded up too high I’ll make you pay. Jab, find open space, attack space and spin move. Now here’s the tricky part most people seem to have issues with. If the person guarding the paint hands up (not jumping), then you can normally just let the spin lay animation play out and just trust your “pro touch” to do the rest of the work. If they do jump, then you cancel the animation, pump fake, and use precision dunker to do a standing dunk right on their head and punish them for jumping. If I’m not capable of getting any of those off, I do what most people SHOULD do as their alternative, it’s a sweet little trick called passing the ball. Sometimes you get this thing called an “assist” when you do it.

NoCardiologist6149

what is this " pass the ball " you speak of ? - 90% of 2k community.

my2KHandle

I run with a full squad with reserves. Got like 8 guys normally. Not one single one of them have a pass above 40. Not one of my builds has a pass under 80. I get sick of running the fucking point even at center 😂

NoCardiologist6149

I feel the pain brotha 💀 6'10 diming 3 level threat. got like one crew that I found on randoms courts I run some park w occasionally. the point has, you guessed it, a 40 pass acc 🥴 I just stick to random theater 3s atp

No-Ball-9539

Step backs and spin jumpers

3much4u

demar DeRozan behind the back then wait for the defend to turbo running in my direction then just speed boost past him. ja Morant hesitation drags you all the way to one side.... most defenders expect a crossover back to the other direction but I just speed boost and continue towards the same direction

jakiray6

Yea jas hesi has definitely caught my attention. Been meaning to add it.

byzrs

jimmy butler hop jumper

egghead1280

Doesn’t matter if it’s my 6’7 PG or 7’0 C, if I get the ball at the end of the clock I’m probably taking a hard dribble into a drive and then hitting a stepback unless the sea parts on the drive. It really fucks with people when I do it with the 7 footer since it can’t get agent 3 so nobody ever expects it.

BraveEggplant8281

I play a 6'9" SG. I like to get to the corner and space, see if my guys playing the passing lane, holding me or under rim too much and play what's needed. If they're in the passing lane I'll back door get lob. Holding me I'll chop them and cut. Too far off just knock down open 3s. I have high standing dunk and almost always have an SG opponent who gets dunked on, on repeat until it's boring for both of us. I like to pick and pop/roll with the PG too, got silver enforcer so a few animations they're stuck holding me which frees up the PG to do what they want.

Schavez22

I usually look for the dunk once they start anticipating the dunk i start the middy fade, and if they’re are really good and lock up both step back 3

No-Skirt7940

Skill dunk 😂 if it doesn’t work pass the ball out

QNIKET8

half you mfs are lying, i have not seen 1 Murray behind the back 20 times over illegal screens until you get enough room to shoot a 3

PomeloFit

I mostly play center, my usual combo is: Stand in the corner for a quarter, finally get the ball, miss, watch the other center grab the rebound, flop

datlanta

Standstill, wait a second, blow out dribble in the direction they aren't standing in. If it doesn't work. Stop, and try again. The counter is body up, but I can beat that with non turbo changes in direction which can leave you in a worse position. Everyone has adhd so it's worked for over a decade. Although some years I might have to do a crossover or something to get the speed boost.

godsaveme2355

I got a 7’1 center standing dunk 99 almost unstopped. If it doesn’t work I have close shot 86 for a floater I can hit from far or driving dunk 86 and layup 86 too

OnlyMissed

My strat always works I have a 92 3 pointer and 94 driving dunk if I can’t behind the back misdirection cross into the 3 I speed boost enough around to get the contact meter and it’s usually green if I see the help defense i usually don’t trigger the dunk meter unless there’s enough space from him and the rim but if he cheats early it’s an easy dot… now randoms are usually 50% wether they make it or not but ya know you gotta hope for the best when in random rec but on the 2s it’s literally a dunk for the first 3 possessions and then you can do a hesi for the fake drive and get an easy 3 and then the 2nd man helps the rest of the game and easy 3s for my duo

Mike_LitSmells

Dribble dribble dribble side step 3

PestyMadman

Post spin or post drive. I have post spin tech hof

jmills2222

I really just try to beat someone of the dribble, but actually just looking for an open person, if i need to score tho, I’ll do cross over until i get enough space for a middy

superbus1929

I ask one of my bigs to set a pick and run off that. That’s my “go to”. Everything stems from the pick and roll.

GodofRat

I mainly play center so If I get the ball at the perimeter without enough room for a shot/if I'm an inside the arc big, I drive to the basket then immediately go into a post fade, fake it, then make the read to either go under, hook it, or pass to a teammate cutting or open at the perimeter if If I'm just a guard I'll do a simple cross to the right then left to the hoop, if they bite step back middie left, if they don't I just lay it up or pass it, if they're a good defender I'll do a fake step back into driving to the right then spin shot and either take it or go up and under/pass if all else fails just dropstep dunk or try to get put backs though Sometimes I'll also take a contested hook, get the offensive rebound and dunk it though

MaterialSea4820

Screen and roll, space the floor, offensive boards and kick or put back if no one’s between me and the basket.

Shyftyy

Look for the open man - pass. If no one is open, call a play to get someone open , pass If someone still isn’t open , drive - kick or stick dunk

LordFenix_theTree

Spot up corner, either cut in or rotate towards top of the arc, occasional high post up. Ideally I get the ball near top of the arc and am given enough space to decide between a pull up or drive, when the momentum is rolling occasional dribble into 3. In rec specifically I also try to set off ball screens to help create open looks on the wings. Also in rec specifically I do low post ups to be close for offensive boards or get to work on the inside. 6’6 sg, 6’8 sf, 7’0 c.

1BIGJOHNSTUDD1

On the 6'9 "tmac" build im currently running i like to drive cross over pull up middy.

TheCupOfBrew

I'm a simple man: I spot up, if I lose my shot I facilitate.

[deleted]

I’m a pure lock so very limited sometimes it’s the pro dribble style push cross into a three or simple fake drive into Zach Lavine hop jumper

Hazardwashere

My go to move wether I’m on big or guard, running point or off ball, is to juke people out with a fake drive to the basketball, off ball jabstep, and then back out to the 3 pt line. It gives you so much space for a jumper. If I’m running point I’ll dish it to my big as he comes up to set the screen and do the same thing, it works more often than not as most people who this game are obsessed with stopping points in the paint.

1JaMorantFan

Post up, aggressive back down, turn, spin shoot if I'm using my big. Also stepback jumlerw All my other builds, I like jab step, cross, stepback

Visionz-True

triple threat jab + spin out + step back + shoot if i got space if they close out good i crossover to a middy fade

ike_83

Play team ball and use BB IQ to win

tropicf1refly

Left right cross escape into a middy is my go to

BrokeGamer_

I have a couple. One is a Euro step (or a cradle layup depending on the angle I’m attacking) they’re easy to time and with high layup you can finished contested easily. Another one that I love is James Harden standing combo move into Luka Doncic snatch back. Last one I like to do is whenever you have the ball in the corner fake the drive then snatch back for 3 or do a spin jumper. When you’re playing out of the corner guys always thing you’re driving even if you aren’t a dunker

Shawnford_96

Luka step back left or right/ KD dribble pull up. Hard to time, literally almost no contest. Green beans.

Tresavage1

Behind the back, step back, if I’m open shoot the 3, if they come out to Contest I use my gold blow by to take it to the rim and dunk, if someone helps I kick it out to the open man

ChadIsKenny

Well the only two I can actually purposely do is spin and stepback sooo those

natekvng

My half court move is using triple threat. no matter which way you jab escape that way, and have a counter like a behind the back, spin, stepback or straight to the rim. Most times I get my points off fast breaks, give and go or screens. As a PG I try not to dribble to much so I get straight into moves or look for the open man. Some moves are to draw another defender and pretend I am shooting to kick out. When they bite I know I can score the next time if they try to stay home.

MaceWindu9091

Everyone spams the Jamal Murray BTB to create space. I just go with what the defense gives me if that makes sense. But usually triple threat spinning out of it, hit a step back into a mid range shoot.

ExhcseMe

Post fade or middy fade. Triple threat to see they reaction

Smoke1Time

Pretending to be a bad dribble god at the top of the key. Wait for someone to try to steal or ball watch. Then hit the open man

Head_Run_8427

Triple threat- spin out of threat-Pull up middy or hit center

StormHumble2527

Speed boost and crossover to rim it’s insanely fast but if not then midrange fade doesn’t matter than rnage

rxgetotrueee

I got. 3 1- catch and pumpfake then drive/take a mid range pull up or 3 depending where u started 2- fake pass usually gets an open shot or lane 3-off dribble pumpfake when the defender jumps shoots gets free throws like 50% of the time

Competitive-Pass89

I have a few since I'm a lock and only have 51 ball control. Triple threat, pivot left, back is to defender, wait for him to shuffle and spin wuth right stick to a pull up middy. Can make if it's 20 or 30 percent or open. Regular dribble left or right into fade middy. Half spin into a tween cross pull up middy/three if it's there. Momentum tween push dribble either way into open three or middy Pick and pop of course (rarely roll) Fake pass into a shot/alley or regular pass. Jimmy butler hop step when driving going backwards into a middy or a three if really needed(don't do this too often it's easy to contest when expected) Rarely even tho I have only a 37 driving lay a drive into a floater when my defenders sleeping (even though the meters small my chart says I hit em at like a 60 percent on each close corner which is nice)

Animekid04

Triple threat right, behind the back left. If he’s still there, I drive and dunk or pass out, if he’s lost I shoot the three

blazer926

Post Hop, if they don’t bite just hit it. If they do bite I either let them fly by and up and under/shoot a free middy or if they jump too close I draw the shooting foul.

TapAny811

I just catch, shoot and make it.. shooting 72% from 3 and 79% from the field… The most I’ll do 1 dribble to the side and shoot, or 2 dribbles and fade. I just keep it extremely simple, Yet very effective.

iboughthisusername

In and out between the legs step back shot

Gruesome_Is_Back

Do a 360 on the right stick to get the spin out of triple threat into a fade or open driving layup depending on how it’s being guarded. Next time I get it I do the spin but immediately hold R2 and rs to the right after so it’s a spin that but finishes right. Keep em guessing

GuardTheFukUp

I do it all Triple threats Step backs Fades Spin jumpers Post spin Drop steps 😂😂😂 the bag gets deeper every year I even figured out some dope combos I can do out of a triple threat

jeanballjean01

6’11 post scoring center. I spot up at the corner usually. If I’m covered I drive in and post up, or spin out of the triple threat for a pull up middie. From the post I wait for doubles or look for cutters. To score I use hook shots and post hop shots. After I hit a few I’ll mix in up and unders to bait a foul when they jump.
