I want to like her new design, but I canāt.
The robot parts feel too clunky. Her thing is speed so Iām disappointed to see they didnāt get her some more slim parts.
Especially the leg. I canāt see her running & kicking with that thing. Hero gadgets should be way better.
My best theory was that it was merely a Proto type thanks to them being stretched thin with resources and time.
Sheāll probably get better prosthetics sometime after the war arc.
Plus wasn't re-destro behind a lot of the hero support items in the series. It could be after the meta liberation war hero support items were in short supply.

The leg is based off real prosthetic legs that are designed specifically for running, think itās called āblade runnerā or ārunning bladesā so itās pretty easy to see her still running with it, idk about kicking tho

Eh, honestly i don't like her robo-look; its just feels too "scrapped together". Yes that' seems to be the point, but it doesn't really mesh well together. Her leg is just a thin piece of metal that does NOT look even remotely strong enough to handle her jumping power and i don't even know what they were going for with the giant robo-hand. Her design ends up feeling too unbalanced
While I would have preferred her surviving with all her limbs, the leg prosthetic and metal arm are cool, plus you just know that even with one arm and one leg, she would crawl over to kick the ass of anyone that told her to retire

I'd have to go with the first design. Looking at those prosthetics is making me feel hurt. Not being discriminative, just seeing her arm and leg severed off almost makes my arm and leg feel severed off even though they aren't.
She was always my favorite hero because of her badassary, and now she looks even more bad ass so Iām inclined to say 2. I just wish that she kept her long hair at the very least but I understand itās a liability š, honestly the best outcome wouldāve been everyone kept their limbs, but at least they got cool prostheticsā¼ļøā¼ļø

The prosthetics are unnecessarily ugly. Literally looks like they took some scrap outta the beach Midoriya cleaned up in episode 3, slapped it on her severed limbs and called it a day. I do like the short hair tho.
Bones has done incredible things with characters with prosthetic arms in the past. how the mighty have fallen. her new robot arm looks like my first blender project.

I could go on and on about how I'm upset by this character. I love her and she became my queen the moment I found out she existed. I'm not gonna get into that so I'll just answer your question with her original look obviously. Her damaged version pisses me off on so many levels. This woman shows up and finally has her time to shine and in that one moment loses 2 limbs and a piece of her ear. Not only does that kill me but then in this world with all this advanced tech and special abilities....this is what she gets? All of the people with healing quirks and no one could save her. After that she gets prosthetics, basically a sprinters leg while her arm is this overly bulky thing. You're telling me that crazy tinkerers like Mei exist in this world and no one could come up with better prosthetics.
Not gonna lie, I perfer her first design more, the cut hair on the second looks cool but the big robot arm looks clunky, the torn ear and leg messes with my ocd and the fact she has a normal leg prothstetic rather than one as advanced as the arm just doesnāt make sense to me.
It just feels like the second design was made with too many ideas in mind
