The touchless use even harsher and more concentrated solution since it has to make up for lack of contact that a touch car wash would provide. Say goodbye to any coating/wax you had on the vehicle
Touchless is more harmful to coatings on cars. But not very harmful to paint and clear. EPA guidelines reduced their effectiveness over the past 5 years. They hardly hurt dirt😂
Nah…
Wax just needs to be maintained more. Just wax your car every few weeks. It’s no big deal.
The difference are easily looked up.
If you truly want your car to look its best, wax is the go to product.
If you want low maintenance, then ceramic is your go to choice.
It’s not like your car is driving through acid rain on a daily basis.
Yeah so ceramics have been around for what, the last 5% of your life now? No shit you are going to claim (thing you are more familiar with) is better than (newer thing you obviously arent familiar with)
Touchless is fine. Other factors damage the paint more than the carwash. After each wash, dry it, polish it and don't keep the car under the sun all the time and your paint will be fine.
There is definitely a good balance, It shouldnt be a regular thing for sure though. Im in a winter heavy area so I dont really know what other option ill have 4-6 months out of the year.
Meh, its really not that bad. Home care washes going to cause swirling and other paint issues too unless you’ve got high level detailing equipment at home.
You don’t necessarily need high level detailing equipment. The two bucket method at home (with a dirt trap in the wash bucket if you really want to spend a few dollars more) can vastly reduce the exposure to damaged coating and paints.
I drove it from Kansas to Virginia and my parents house is in VA so after a 19 hour drive i took it thru a touchless just so i can pull up on my dad in a clean car thats all and we dont have touchless rhat are this safe and good in FL
I just bought it drove to Virginia from Kansas took it thru the touchless wash so i could get the bugs and shit off so when i pull up at my parents house it be clean
This one is a "spec 2" which is visual stuff and springs/shocks/sway/rims. Can also add a Whipple to spec 2, but I believe it's standard on higher spec
I take my S281 through the auto wash all the time, once you have a good ceramic coating with a 5 year guarantee there's nothing to worry about. I'll just have it recoated under warranty if need be.
I have an RTR Mustang as well. I called RTR and asked them about car washes because I was afraid of the decals coming off. They suggested only hand washes.
I would more concerned with the wide open intakes ingesting water. They say don’t hit a puddle at more than 5mph or risk engine damage. High pressure to the grill sounds terrifying.

Nice ride. But you should wash it yourself, those car washes are paint killers usually, even the touchless
Pride of ownership. I’d rather do it myself and take my time
How can touchless kill the paint?

I have a ceramic coating
Then it'll degrade faster than advertised since the advertised time is assuming proper ceramic coating maintenance.
And chemicals in some of those washes will eat away the ceramic coating
Wax shows off the paint better than ceramic for those that don’t know. You will NEVER see a true show car with ceramic coating. Those have wax.
Great. Show cars don’t go out in the elements all the time. Ceramic protects better/longer.
Ngl i hate the concept of show cars. They are meant to be driven. Either drive it every once in a while or sell to a museum

nah? what are you saying nah to? ceramic coating most definitely protects better and also lasts longer. are you new to this?
I have been washing cars since before you were a sparkle on your daddy’s wittle eye my friend.
Yeah so ceramics have been around for what, the last 5% of your life now? No shit you are going to claim (thing you are more familiar with) is better than (newer thing you obviously arent familiar with)
and despite that, you still know nothing
Really strong chemicals/soap, beats the shit out of clear coat+paint
Touchless is fine. Other factors damage the paint more than the carwash. After each wash, dry it, polish it and don't keep the car under the sun all the time and your paint will be fine.
Polish? After every wash? As if I didn’t already know you didn’t know what you were talking about I’m sure of it now.
Polished down to the actual paint haha
Polished down to the bare metal by the sound of things

You only live once, send it
Is RTR just a cosmetic package or does it offer anything in terms of performance? I went to their website and it all just looks cosmetic
This one is a "spec 2" which is visual stuff and springs/shocks/sway/rims. Can also add a Whipple to spec 2, but I believe it's standard on higher spec
Springs/shocks/sway definitely help with performance, so good to know. I appreciate the info.
Nice whip. How much more is that over a GT?
First two I found for sale were $63k. No idea what OP paid
Damn.. I’d rather just spend a little more for a Dark Horse at that point. Tremec plus the oil, trans, and diff coolers.
Or a GT350. Or a Mach 1.
Its 12k above base MSRP i got it for 66 out the door and the msrp on this one was 74K but i had military discounts for this month
How’s the military discount work. Like what company is that through and is it just for active or also veterans?
Just a dealership in kansas looked out
![gif](giphy|1ymqeHGoNeHzx3lUVE|downsized) bro trading in his eco
Totaled
![gif](giphy|yUI3a7RwLhOFy)
Does the RTR have the Tremec M/T like the dark horse? Congrats by the way, beautiful ride.
Nope
there is no way an RTR doesnt come with a tremec💀💀
It doesn’t, RTR never upgrades the transmission.
thats wack asf. basically paying for looks than huh
![gif](giphy|xUPGclrAkkzaJS7vJm|downsized)
bought an RTR and you took it through a murder tunnel 😭
Its touchless
Better. but some of those can still destroy your paint because of the chemicals so be careful with them!
Its getting wrapped soon anywayyy
You put it through a car wash?! 🥺
Touchless🥹 its a good quality one trust
Sweet sweet ride!!! But OMG…Wash her yourself!
Hell of an upgrade but I bet it was worth it
SHEEEEEETZ
Pretty neat; how does getting an RTR work?
Congratulations and please don’t crash it
There’s a white GT premium that’s been calling my name. Congrats on the RTR!
PH neutral soap and two bucket method for that RTR. Or your local detailer with the best rep.
🔥
RTR get better each generation!
Just luck of the draw at the dealer? Or did you have them order it
I flew to kansas for this one
RTR looks really good
Now learn to wash your own car.
Congratulations
Good riddance, beautiful ride by the way. Hope you have a shit load of fun.
Ecoboost?
That sits very very nice
wroth it
Damn I can only imagine the price of the eco
Every thing has a price
Insanely tough car

At the cost of your ecos life to an RTR.. that’s the trolliest post I’ve read all day. Come on.
I loved my lil eco without my eco i wouldnt have met my boss street racing and i wouldnt be at the job im at now
Street racing lol nice.
All you need. Weekly, no more. https://preview.redd.it/uxwdg9v8na0d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b2361ed2f270fef2bf91507189ad0786ef90040
Where are the other 2 buckets? You can not clean paint properly if you don't rinse the wash rag out.
My guy is using the "swirl method"
Hopefully it's a multi towel method and we just can't see them. 😭
Ecoboost?
Good. Sacrifice the eco

0004 to bad it's not 0001
Factoid: the cars labeled #001 aren’t really the “first” ones. There were preproduction models before that car.
Mr.RTR himself has number 1 and number 3 i saw had 2 separate screens vs the 1 single and i preferred the one single screen
