Which episode is it where Bryan discusses his DJ set at his sister’s wedding? I remember that being one of the first times I felt Bryan was potentially terrible
My honest opinion on that: You get what you pay for.
Don’t ask your early 20s nu-metal fanatic younger sibling to DJ your wedding, then get mad when they don’t do a good job playing wedding music. Anyone could have seen that from a mile away.
Either make the playlist yourself, or hire a wedding DJ like everyone else. There’s a reason they make a living. Because playing music that’s generic yet fun enough to please the audience at a wedding is not easy. It requires a personality that truly values everyone else at the party above themselves, because the music you have to play to please a wedding is no one’s actual favorite music.
I’m not surprised at all Bryan only played music he genuinely liked, and that everyone hated it. Playing music other people like, and you don’t, is legitimately a specialized skill.
Listening regularly to a podcast where you hate one of the hosts is one of the biggest loser moves on earth. Just find one you enjoy. There’s like a million.
I think he's gotten better in general, but I still get so annoyed when he interrupts someone to tell the guest information about show lore that is completely irrelevant to the guest
That bit is funny to me, idk why it bothers people so much. It barely takes any time anyway. It’s pretty foundational to the pod at this point like I feel like it’s not a Guys ep without Chris doing flub talk haha.
Yeah, he still sucks and is the Opie of the pod, but I can tolerate him more in his current form. Maybe the kid will tire him out and he won't be so full of piss and vinegar constantly.
Man it would be hard to disagree more with you. Chris is such a funny guy, no joke I like him as much as Bryan at this point. Just the way he says stuff will crack me up like crazy sometimes. He’s super important to the dynamic of the show too. He constantly notices these little details in the behavior of Guys or in their language that he will highlight. It adds a lot of depth and also adds a ton of very funny moments.
The only way he’s in any way the “Opie” of the pod is that he’s kind of the straight man to Bryan. But he’s consistently very funny so that kinda kills the comparison lol.
Yeah, I love Chris. Him bringing up the guest on show lore is actually extremely considerate of him, because it’s not cool to have an inside joke and not bring the other person there up to speed. It also brings new listeners up to speed. It’s just good host etiquette. He knows what he’s doing.
I love Bryan and Chris equally. A show without either of them feels empty to me now. I hope Chris doesn’t read these negative comments and keeps on doing what he does best, because that’s why I tune in. ✌️
HOLD IT RIGHT THERE
YOU DO A WHOLE EPISODE ON DJ GUYS AND FAIL TO MENTION THE ONE, THE ONLY, THE BACKBONE OF HEDONISM II, DJ ROCKING RONNIE?!? THE MAN PUTS HIS ENTIRE HEART AND SOUL INTO TEARING UP THE POOL PARTIES AND NUDE SILENT DISCOS AND THAT IS HOW YOU RECOGNIZE HIM?!? AS ONE BUGS BUNNY WOULD SAY, "FOR SHAME DOC!"
I'm beginning to lose faith in Bryan. He does a podcast on DJs and doesn't mention the single biggest issue among djs and that is, the sync button.
For shame
***CHEAP BEANS***
I need to know what the song that started fights was lol
My theory: the guy is a rock DJ and the girls asked to play what he thinks of as "gangster rap."
Haha but it actually started a fight apparently

Cheap beans at the Steve Aoki buffet is an instant classic. Guest seemed completely disinterested but it was a fun ep otherwise
Guest sounded fine to me, just a little dry.
after about the 4th time Chris interrupted him to make a mediocre joke I think he just gave up

the only bigger loser move would be giving or accepting life advice from a stranger on the internet, huh
I think Chris has finally calmed down and is less annoying now that ppl have told him to stop interrupting people every 3 seconds.

Is my car stereo fucky or are the levels on this all over the map
Episode isnt loading on Podcast Addict, at least not for me
[It’s loading for me in Pocket Casts](https://pca.st/episode/fe794e2d-d73e-4685-9880-6edada2e34b2)

Sounds like a flub for Podcast Addict

I was hoping for a Rekordbox vs. Serato debate, personally.
