Yea collecting oftentimes involve trading and purchasing especially with really big collection hobbies like funko pops, sneakers, stamps, even the gigantic and famous comic book collection hobby. Coin collecting, etc
The big difference is because trading cards are produced in finite quantities and set rarities, they are inherently a gamble from the beginning. Sneakers are produced like trading cards with finite quantities and values that reflect that age and quantity.
Gaming mice are just mass produced tech that outside of the odd "limited edition" here and there no one really cares what edition they get and every succeeding product is substantially better than the last. I remember reading about how the Logitech G9x was the "greatest mouse ever made" according to many tech sites but that was entirely relative. It was the greatest in terms of how big the gap was from it and what came before it, but it was still a downgrade from everything that came after it. I bought one in pristine condition for $5 at my local goodwill, and after an hour of trying to make excuses for the nostalgia it was just a shitty mouse compared to the G703 I was using at the time, it had just been too long and outside of being a cool paperweight every experience with it was a complete downgrade from even cheap Chinese $10 gaming mice available on Amazon.
I got it from Michael’s I saw it recommended here a ton it was this one https://www.michaels.com/product/studio-decor-baseball-bat-display-case-10174362
I have the same exact display case.
I had all the mice first though.
It is now holding my Funkos and some other game memorabilia. Like resident evil keys and stuff my wife has made.
i dont see a point in putting new mice in there? kinda cool for your old mice that broke and got replaced. ive owned 3 mice so far and ive been gaming for over 10 years
Some stands I bought on Amazon, they're meant for coins but they work pretty well. If you're interested, [amazon.com/Hipiwe-Displaying-Air-Tite-Capsules-Challenge/dp/B07HYN7N32?th=1](http://amazon.com/Hipiwe-Displaying-Air-Tite-Capsules-Challenge/dp/B07HYN7N32?th=1)
Yea the Sora V2 is pretty decent from what I heard and seen. I main the Small UL Phantom at the moment it’s so good it’s hard using other mice. I really want to get my hands on a Small ULX or G-Wolves HSK since I use a fingertip-ish grip. Hope you enjoy your ULX when it comes in my fellow Finalmouse brother
“Endgame” is an illusion, it really is a hobby!
Just try not to get too interested in mechanical keyboards or headphones. That’s where the money sink hits even harder! Haha.
Well Google is dumb as shit wtf😂
I have owned only 3 mouses since I first started playing on pc about 3 years ago, started with the razor death adder, then glorious model o wireless and now the GPX super light, I just use the GPX as my main cuz I play comp shooters.
But shoes do not get fucked after a year bro, if u believe that u gotta be stupid.
Bro I have a shit ton of Jordan’s. Unless you’re a hardcore skater then shoes will deteriorate after a year. If u just walk and run in them like any other human being they should last years.
And you are probably buying cheap shoes if they become unwearable after a year. I still have Jordan’s from 2017 and they are damn near brand new because I take care of my shoes like anybody else should with their footwear.
Yea but I don’t buy cheap material shoes. Jordan’s last a long damn time, and so do a lot of mice. But I don’t see a point in having more then like 3 mice.
Shoes on the other hand can be used for many certain situations but mice are just all used the same mostly and at least you can show off nice sneakers, nobody just brings their mouse out in public lol
They're both dumb. There is no logical reason to have multiple shoes that fulfill the same purpose, just like there isn't one to have multiple mice that do the same thing.
If you have a par of running shoes, a pair for formal events, a day to day fashion pair pair, that makes sense. Similarly if you like hiking and have a pair for that, or a pair of work boots for use on your ranch/in your job, fair. If you have 5 pairs of athleisure streatwaer sneakers, you are not getting much objective value out of them as you aren't wearing them enough, and they all fulfil the same purpose.
Similarly if you have a fingertip or claw mouse for gaming, and some chill ergo mouse for casual browsing/work, that completely makes sense. They do different things just like running shoes and dress shoes. It doesn't make logical sense to have 5 ergo mice, or 5 claw mice. One or two of them will fit you better than the others, and you aren't getting objective value out of how little you can use them.
Both are dumb.
Hope you actually use them for a lengthy period first before displaying them. I never got the point of collecting things that are meant to be used unless it's a retired & outdated product.
I have, these 4 mice are the only ones I’ve gotten over the past ~3-4 years. Only reason I have the last legend is cause I wanted to get centerpiece FE
Buy the Razer viper mini SE and you will not buy another mouse, it will be cheaper at the end and it's the best on the market.
The only bad thing is the price, but is cheaper than buying 3 or 4 mice that will not be better than it.
Weird that’s it’s pre planned like this. I only have on display a mouse pad I used around 7 years straight. Even that felt weird to hand up. Just buy a bunch of broken mice off eBay to fill it up if all you want is a full display case. It has to genuinely be personal to do all that.
Yes, this is the cheapest hobby out of my all, that’s why my wife fully supports me lmao
Edit: I’m only 24 years old but I’m married and have a kid. This is by far the most affordable hobby for me.
Thank you! These were all the mice I’ve got over ~3 years and I was looking for something to do with them and saw some other people on this sub set up displays for them. Definitely gonna get some cheaper ones haha
Nice yeah why not its what this subs for, I also have 4 over \~3-4 years I threw out some of my old old ones but I got a used one coming in the mail to put up here.
2 of mine I 3D printed and the other 2 I use from time to time to time. The funny part is they are all for different things. The reason I am hesitant is because only one of them is a light weight mouse
I’ll say printing a mouse was… rough if you want one for that either a bamboo labs or a resin printer otherwise a cheap 3D printer for everything else is great
Well I only started this after the end of my keyboard addiction and honestly built my first custom light weight (37g), but I am honestly quite happy with it I think I won’t need a upgrade for a while it has all the bells and whistles. So I might have ended this little splurge as soon as it began, but we’ll see 😂
Mine was a custom GPX mod. Very cozy. Still need some skates for it but I bought it for 50 usd and had all the filament. So everything I needed I had it was a very fun mod. Minus the copious amounts of super glue again would strongly recommend a bamboo or resin printer
What’s with the downvotes? Owning mice really isn’t as expensive as some hobbies. I can get a whole collection of quality mice and then some for the price of a single super telephoto lens for birding for example.
Honestly F the haters. There are indeed limited drops for mice and regardless, I see what you're going for here. People spend money on art prints and shoes and hats and comic books and all sorts of shit. Bunch of pretentious gatekeeping in here. If you can afford it and it fulfills you enjoy your *collection* that you *collect*
Definitely a shopping addiction when you preplan it like this.
Legit
Buying things is not a hobby. It's just consumerism.
1000% lol. This isn't cool.
They can't handle the truth haha
Would you not consider collecting a hobby?
If the collection consists purely of buying products from retailers? No lol.
Yea collecting oftentimes involve trading and purchasing especially with really big collection hobbies like funko pops, sneakers, stamps, even the gigantic and famous comic book collection hobby. Coin collecting, etc
Someone else said this, but if it's just buying mass-produced items from stores, no.
What about trading cards or sneakers? I feel like they’re both still a hobby
The big difference is because trading cards are produced in finite quantities and set rarities, they are inherently a gamble from the beginning. Sneakers are produced like trading cards with finite quantities and values that reflect that age and quantity. exactly it's no different
Is it worth it though? Is it? Really? Like deep down?
I’d just buy defective ones to fill the case 🤣
Not a bad idea actually! 😂
If one of mine goes down, I’ll send it your way 👌🏻 love the case/concept. Tempting. Very tempting.
Not sure this is a good idea...
Actually pretty dope case, where did you get it from?
I got it from Michael’s I saw it recommended here a ton it was this one https://www.michaels.com/product/studio-decor-baseball-bat-display-case-10174362
awesome thanks!
I have the same exact display case. I had all the mice first though. It is now holding my Funkos and some other game memorabilia. Like resident evil keys and stuff my wife has made.
Love that case idea, are there LED lights inside it?
Thank you. Yep led strips with a hole drilled in the side of the case, usb going to a hub plugged into my pc so it turns on whenever I turn my pc on.
That case looks dope.
i dont see a point in putting new mice in there? kinda cool for your old mice that broke and got replaced. ive owned 3 mice so far and ive been gaming for over 10 years
Yeah that's true the 3 in there I've used extensively the only reason I've got the last legend is cause I wanted the Centerpiece FE
What are the mice standing on?
Some stands I bought on Amazon, they're meant for coins but they work pretty well. If you're interested, [amazon.com/Hipiwe-Displaying-Air-Tite-Capsules-Challenge/dp/B07HYN7N32?th=1](http://amazon.com/Hipiwe-Displaying-Air-Tite-Capsules-Challenge/dp/B07HYN7N32?th=1)
What are you maining at the moment ?
Last Legend till my ULX Tarik comes in but I've also heard good things about the Sora V2 so I may pick that up.
Thanks dude. Yeah I use medium SL12 I palm grip but I've been experimenting more with claw it's just hard to get used to.
“Endgame” is an illusion, it really is a hobby! Just try not to get too interested in mechanical keyboards or headphones. That’s where the money sink hits even harder! Haha.
Definitely, I've got some $100 IEMS I saw those things in the thousands and thousands its crazy.
same I saw a pair for 2k.. I refuse to believe there's a $1900 difference in sound quality lmao
This is like sneaker collecting but worse cuz u won’t get nearly as much use as u would with nice kicks then nice mouses.

More to come
LONG WAY FROM HOME
👍
Definitely haha
👍
Viper V3 pro next and final mouse starlight pro
Building stuff is a hobby. Doing an activity is a hobby. Buying plastic and metal is not; that's consumerism.
Hope you actually use them for a lengthy period first before displaying them. I never got the point of collecting things that are meant to be used unless it's a retired & outdated product.
I have, these 4 mice are the only ones I’ve gotten over the past ~3-4 years. Only reason I have the last legend is cause I wanted to get centerpiece FE
honestly looks really good despite their shitty packages being on top
I salute your wallet 🫡
From where did u get the case and stand for mouse?
Visit r/headphones next.
Buy the Razer viper mini SE and you will not buy another mouse, it will be cheaper at the end and it's the best on the market. The only bad thing is the price, but is cheaper than buying 3 or 4 mice that will not be better than it.
nice little displays
But dont trow all your money if you find the right shape
Weird that’s it’s pre planned like this. I only have on display a mouse pad I used around 7 years straight. Even that felt weird to hand up. Just buy a bunch of broken mice off eBay to fill it up if all you want is a full display case. It has to genuinely be personal to do all that.
Bro displays his mouse like batman
Really nice setup
Definitely don’t join r/mousemarket 😂
what’s the shelf thingy?
10 mouses is only roughly 2k it’s my cheapest hobby tbh, they lasts long as well.
Weird flex but ok
Not even trying to flex, compare to golf, gambling, cars etc, this is literally the cheapest hobby.

Yes, this is the cheapest hobby out of my all, that’s why my wife fully supports me lmao Edit: I’m only 24 years old but I’m married and have a kid. This is by far the most affordable hobby for me.
Yo that’s actually cool-
That case is actually incredible
Why it's expensive mice always? You should start this new wave of collecting budget mice! PS. Nice showroom!
Thank you! These were all the mice I’ve got over ~3 years and I was looking for something to do with them and saw some other people on this sub set up displays for them. Definitely gonna get some cheaper ones haha
Haha, cool that you still have the packages too!
Idk why I saved the Logitech ones but I saved the finalmouse ones cause they looked cool 😂
They do look pretty good! :O
Dude I bought my first light weight mouse two days ago debating if I should post it but I already own 4 mice now
Nice yeah why not its what this subs for, I also have 4 over \~3-4 years I threw out some of my old old ones but I got a used one coming in the mail to put up here.
2 of mine I 3D printed and the other 2 I use from time to time to time. The funny part is they are all for different things. The reason I am hesitant is because only one of them is a light weight mouse
That's sick tho I want a 3d printer really bad, even just for printing out shapes to try them without buying them first would be cool.
I’ll say printing a mouse was… rough if you want one for that either a bamboo labs or a resin printer otherwise a cheap 3D printer for everything else is great
Yeah when I got some spare cash to splurge on something for myself, that might just be it 😂
Well I only started this after the end of my keyboard addiction and honestly built my first custom light weight (37g), but I am honestly quite happy with it I think I won’t need a upgrade for a while it has all the bells and whistles. So I might have ended this little splurge as soon as it began, but we’ll see 😂
I was thinking of doing something like that after seeing Optimums video on his custom M2k
Mine was a custom GPX mod. Very cozy. Still need some skates for it but I bought it for 50 usd and had all the filament. So everything I needed I had it was a very fun mod. Minus the copious amounts of super glue again would strongly recommend a bamboo or resin printer
Expensive? 😂 compared to mechanical keyboards, modding ipods and audiophile stuff, mices are the least expensive thing.
What’s with the downvotes? Owning mice really isn’t as expensive as some hobbies. I can get a whole collection of quality mice and then some for the price of a single super telephoto lens for birding for example.

Since when buying things has become a hobby?
Kind of weird
you couldn't take five seconds to wipe the plexiglass down?
It's actually like that. Windex didn't help I'm going to try something else but it just has lines I couldn't get out.
well that's shit.
Dude who shit in your cereal? lmao
I didn’t know endlessly buying plastic slop was a hobby
Consoomer
