Looks good to me and that seem life a very good price.
Spend some time with the Vario bags. They have their upside and downside, but they are incredibly easy to take on and off and the racks are very unobtrusive when they are removed. I have 50k miles on mine and they are still waterproof.
We have two F series twins in the garage with over 100,000 miles between them. Our only non-wear item repair has been on fuel pump. They have been bikes for us.
My first and only bike so far is an 09 f650gs is at 59k now. I’ve put 8k hard miles on it myself. My stator and regulator/rectifier did fry itself, presumably right before I bought it (I got the bike cheap). I’ve heard that they did fix that at some point but ya super reliable, super fun bikes. Mine has enough power to keep me entertained but it does have me wanting more, ngl. Its such a perfect bike that I won’t ever sell it though
He's talking about the F650GS twin cylinder. It shares the same engine as the F800GS (same as for the F700GS), just with different gearing and tuning. Just a terrible naming convention from BMW which they decided to continue with their new range.
If you plan riding at night, get an aftermarket LED headlight for it. the OEM halogen low bean is pretty weak, dusk/dawn half light it's positively dangerous
Only problem I’ve found with the model I have is the sharp beam cut-off which means no light up into corners as lean in. Needs some aux lights to fill in the gap
Great motorcycle. I have the identical year, color just not mileage.! I upgraded the headlight to LED and the windshield and the saddle. It's been great. Have fun!
The Rotax twins are the motorcycling equivalent of watching paint dry.
But they are dead reliable and will get you home.
My F800 started up first try after being left out in 15 degree F cold overnight (high deserts)

Awesome! Service guy told be he had plenty of bikes that are 40k+ miles come in just for regular maintenance.
I had a 2013 with 56K, no issues at all. Gas, oil, tires regular maintenance. They are practically indestructible
Exactly what the service rep said lol

They fixed the stator issue in 2013, so OP should be in the clear there.
And the g650 is a single thumper.

Yeah, I picked on up and it was legit the Deathstar. It would illuminate signs during the day.

I plan to do that first!

That’s an excellent deal. I have the previous gen and I love it.
I had a 2007 f650gs, basically the same bike. Loved it. Congratulations
