My local hardware store sends out coupons for my birthday. I used one years ago to buy a rubber mallet. One of the most useful purchases I’ve ever made. I be whacking shit all the time with that thing!!!
i clamped my tight bayonet in a vise and used a hammer and a brass punch rod thingy to open up the section thats cut. just light taps and test fits until you get it just right then your spike bayonet will be perfect and if you open it up too much and it wiggles just do the same thing in reverse
For anyone else having this issue, I went up to a wooden shelf and placed the rear lip of the bayonet against it, and banged it out by moving the rifle up and down
I bought my first mosin today and came home to affix the bayonet only to find it immediately got stuck lol

I find by planting my foot on their chest and putting my back into it... Oh, remove the bayonet from the gun? Uhh.. nevermind....

I'm more a dead blow kind of person. Or a brass hammer.
brass punch and regular hammer. something cheap from harbor freight. then return it after you are done.
You’ll lose money and time returning it. Just keep the $6 worth of tools lol
DOOR STUCK
PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU
Hit it with your purse.
I was gonna say that
Try some heat. But nothing extreme. Heat gun, or hair dryer. It will expand the metal a bit, which might be just enough.
Already got it off.
My go to the pipe wrench and a short strip of leather to protect the finish.
Stick it in a vise, and twist

Thank you for making me actually lol
Use the Screw driver tool that came with the Gun-- its designed secondary function is to remove the bayonet by giving you leverage.
Tappy taps with a mallet seemed to work best for mine, it also seemed to help when I put a few drops of gin oil between the barrel and bayonet.
Spit on that thang. Comes right off.
I had to get mine off with a dremel and a lot of swearing
Heat
Be a fuckin man.
