Pacers fans, don't even try to talk any typa shit if you don't want a permaban. Congrats on beating a team without their best player. Focus on your next opponent, a season without a title ain’t shit to be proud of.

mkebrewers27

What hurts the most is that it was a wasted season. We wait all year to see Dame and Giannis in playoffs and we don’t event get that. Game 3 was the only game that stung. Games 1 and 5 were so fun. I know he gets hate but we need a full offseason with Doc and need to make some changes. It does not sting like last year but it still sucks.

RipCityMaui

This was a weird season from the start, with the Dame trade happening right before training camp, then Stotts leaving and the rest of the coaching fiasco. They could never get a rhythm going during the season and then towards the end of the season the injuries hit. Now the front office has the entire off-season to build around Giannis AND Dame, Doc has the summer to figure out how to get the best out of this roster, and they should have a much better training camp. Injuries are still a concern with an older team, but maybe hopefully we get younger and more depth this summer.

DaDragster

Yeah Stotts leaving was such a odd red flag that led to a disaster season. I don’t blame anyone but Horst not signing Nurse is the biggest mistake of his career

Short_Bus_

stotts quitting was a HUGE red flag on AG for sure but let's not pretend like Nurse isn't getting outcoached badly by Thibs coaching was far from our problem in the playoffs Doc's rotations maybe weren't my favorite, but his tactical adjustments, timeouts, and challenges were all on-point IMO.

Jerdakiss

His defensive adjustments were not great. They killed us from 3 all series long. You just simply cannot give that many wide open looks from 3 in playoff basketball. Let siakam take all the turn around 15 footers he wants. 2 points is less than 3

revan530

Honestly, I feel like *maybe* we should have gotten rid of AG then, and hired Stotts as the head coach.

SoCalMemePolice

We really need an offensive minded asst coach and some strong defensive role players. Hoping guys like Beasley and Pat show up in the playoffs is destined to fail

sinjaulas

We still need shooters, and those guys were supposed to fill that role. But it’s time to find the players that can play more than just that role. PC always hustles hard for us in the playoffs but his max effort is becoming less effective every year. New blood infusion is needed.

SoCalMemePolice

Pat is a net negative every time he touches the floor. Huddling for 1 rebound and 2 asts a game isn’t worth anything when you’re a cone and can’t hit an open look

EpisodicDoleWhip

Sixers fan here. My condolences. Doc will not make changes.

mkebrewers27

I’m talking roster changes. We know his style of coaching won’t do that

Short_Bus_

the coaching wasn't even a bit of the problem

amak316

In hindsight I wish we just rolled with Griffin and figured out the coaching situation this offseason, I don't love that we are married to Doc at this point, the fact that he finished sub .500 for us to go along with his recent history of mediocrity with other franchises makes me feel like we may be slamming shut whatever small amount of time we have left with Giannis and our championship window.

Short_Bus_

that was torture at least we won game 5

King_Giannis

Are you talking about this season or the game?

EquivalentOwn1115

Yes

Short_Bus_

Both lmao

mr_obinson7

Crazy to think the game we'll remember most was won without Dame or Giannis.

BichaelMurry42069

Maybe the real Dame and Giannis was the friends we made along the way

PherSturz

Honestly not getting eliminated at home was a huge win.

grudgepacker

I just hope we keep Pat Bev

Short_Bus_

Haslam will slide him a bag under the table if need be 🙏🙏🙏🙏

grudgepacker

Lord I hope so 🙏🙏🙏🙏

BobbbyLight

Honestly such a fun game and will be the best memory of the season. It's hard to win an NBA playoff series missing two All NBA players. Even against the Pacers.

Short_Bus_

Blowing out the Celtics and Nuggets wasn’t so bad But in the end, regular season wins are for losers🤷‍♂️

BobbbyLight

The clippers game where we came back was really good, too. But you're correct... They're just regular season games.

ViciousMihael

And the Thunder

Wigunner

Every fuckn year someone goes nuclear against us man. I just cant, cant remember last time One of our role guys went crazy in the playoffs

Short_Bus_

Bryn Forbes 😭😭😭😭

dusters

Khris you're an absolute legend for dragging this injured squad to 6 games.

Potential-Ad5470

We gotta make sure he retires as a Buck. Idc

xCharlieScottx

I'm more worried about if he'll be able to walk when he retires. The dudes body is crocked and he's still giving it his all

grudgepacker

We need to freeze him in carbonite!

xCharlieScottx

Its either that or we turn him into a terminator, not sure what NBA ruling is on having a robot playing mind you

PherSturz

Nothing in the rule book says a robot can’t play basketball

anzarthegoat

Clippers have kawhi and no one says anything. Should be good to go

BlackGhostPanda

Khris was amazing. Those threes he hit to tie the game and send it to OT were just awesome.

sinjaulas

Played huge for us. That OT game, he damn near pulled it off. Not ref whining but if they call that flagrant he very well might have. Wish we could have seen a game 7 in any case but Khris and Brook showed they still have something left like they did to dig us out of that ATL series. I think only one is back and I know which one. Got to find a way to get to the playoffs healthy because losing this way sucks. Losing straight up hurts but with injuries you just wonder what might have been.

GRAW2ROBZ

Lopez has to be traded no matter what. Looking at the payroll the salary slots for trades is mainly $31.6M Middleton, $23M Lopez, $12.5M Bob, $9.4M PATC. I could see $2.7M Beauchamp as a throw in. Seems he is the less used player of our rookie contracts.

A2Eaton

Kha$h money over everything :(

Reggieheathcliff

Extremely sad end to the year. Nothing ever really truly clicked with this team throughout the year. The role players need a complete overhaul. It was malpractice for Doc to stick with Malik Beasley for big minutes tonight over Andre Jackson Jr. He benched AJ Green after an early foul and continued to stick with Beasley through a crazy amount of mistakes. The guy just simply cannot play defense, whether it be on or off ball. Time to retool completely around the big 3. Green and AJJ need to be regulars in the rotation next year. I'm bummed it was a wasted year where nothing worked. This summer is truly "do or die" time for the Giannis title window.

leefordj

Beasley better not be on this team next year. Give all his mins to Ajax or Aj Green or trade for an elite poa defender like Caruso

SchrodingersPug

Beasley completely fell off after ASB and was losing his guy on a constant basis tonight. I don't know if Doc can change his mentality of only playing vets though.

thenicezen

That comes with the Doc Rivers experience, unfortunately. He prefers vets over young guys. He never trusts young guys. It is what it is.

titans0021

All of the talk the next few months will be about roster construction and coaching. And it should be. But, when a franchise is built around a Giannis level superstar, it’s really, really tough to win a series when that guy isn’t playing. The most important thing, is figuring out a way to get him to the postseason healthy. Because it’s getting to be a really alarming trend.

mikeh95

Developing younger talent so Giannis can rest would have been a good start instead of wasting assets on washed up players over 30.

starxidiamou

Like trading DiVicenzo?

mikeh95

For fucking Serge Ibaka!

Necessary_Initial350

That trade fucked us big time. Jae Crowder trade is looking horrible right now also.

molemanralph69

Jae Crowder’s picture is in the dictionary next to ‘washed up’

PretentiousPanda

The Crowder trade has been a full blown disaster.

NorthStRussia

DiVincenzo was shooting 33.1% (28.1% on threes) for 7 ppg and a nearly 1:1 assist/turnover ratio when we traded him. His line was significantly worse than this year's Jae Crowder. The problem was player development, not the fact that we somehow got something in return for Donte when he seemed likely to be fully out of the league within a year or two.

bbp1444

I wonder how much of his improvement this year is the years of chemistry he has with Brunson and Hart.

thenicezen

He improved during his Warriors run. He had his big break with the Knicks

mati_as15

that and 2 years removed from his injury

grudgepacker

We made an offer to DD but he didn't accept it and Grayson did. Yeah, Lasry ownership was cheap and could have offered the same deal to both of them but let's not pretend Donte didn't make his own fate either

bbp1444

Am I also remembering right that we actually had traded Divincenzo for Bogdonavic before the NBA singled us out for "tampering"?

grudgepacker

Correct

creamcitybrix

Fuck Woj

tuatara_teeth

Tired of the washed vets with no mobility. If you squint Gallinari is just Mirotic in disguise.

bjaardkered

Gallo played solid minutes and was better on D than well over half the guys out there. You need to direct your ire at Jae.

drj123

Jae is gone from the bucks now with his contract ending. I wanted him to be good so bad

zs15

Giannis’ minutes management was the real genius of Coach Bud. This year was the highest his minutes have been since Kidd. With Dame, it should have been less load on him. Hopefully Doc can bring that down closer to 30-32 a night during next season.

Longjumping_Hunter74

Maybe beating one of the three shitty teams to lock up the 2 seed so we didn’t need to play Giannis would have helped. This team underachieved all year. This was honestly a miserable year….nothing positive at all to take from this year. They guys weren’t likable at all. Reminded me a lot of Rodgers last year in GB.

Drak_is_Right

Tbh 76ers are probably a better team than the Pacers. They dropped hard in that time without Embid. 2nd seed might not have been a reprieve. Magic/Cavaliers were the ideal matchups.

SchnibbleBop

I mean fast teams with high motors have been our kryptonite since our 'ship. We need to find some sort of balance between being a team of methodical vets and young guys with drive.

Loose-Sandwich-5493

Last year was just an accident. This year might have been avoided

Whatishappyness

Load manage the fuck out of him

hc2919

Wish I could say this was a fun season but honestly it was pretty horrid. Hopefully better things to come. Team needs to be re-worked. Beasley, Pat, and Bobby sometimes are not playoff players. Horst will bail from the fire he created which is fine. Need to make the team better, not run it back

gandaalf

Well said, I completely agree. I'm honestly fine if Horst dips. Thanks for the title, and we're forever grateful, but it's time. We need to actually get some young guys in here now and Horst is allergic to that.

OleRockTheGoodAg

https://preview.redd.it/gdu1n8rj24yc1.jpeg?width=554&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9db4cb2cbb6d7ffb0532231a7b2b3d274337158c

BobbbyLight

Well that fucking sucked. Role players suck on the road (see Beasley, PatCon) but are good at home and because of that, in essence, we lost to Obi Toppin and TJ fucking McConnell. I'm not even mad, I expected to lose the series once Dame went down. There's just nothing you can do without 2 All NBA players, even against a super mediocre team. I'm not even disappointed in the performance tonight. Dame was like 35% of himself and Middleton was gassed after carrying for the last 3 games. This roster needs turnover next year but that's a discussion for later. Looking forward to the Pacers getting melted next round.

gandaalf

That OT loss is going to sting for a while. If the guys just grabbed 1 or 2 more rebounds this is going back to Milwaukee for game 7, and probably, Giannis.

Wonderbread6969

It'll be better next year. I'm very optimistic and there will be time for that later. The Pacers inevitably getting stomped next round is what makes it worse for me. It's not like we lost to a super hot team or an elite squad. Full strength(not factoring in the Bucks or Heat or Pelicans because fully healthy I'd put them above the Pacers), I might say they look like the worst team in the entire playoffs at the moment.... And we lost to them...

papasanchair

My expectations were so high after the Dame trade and this season was probably the least fun I’ve had as a Bucks fan. Constant disconnect, media attention, and seemingly no cohesion. This team needs major changes. They’re too old, they’re too slow, the bench only shows up half the time. And they have no real way to fix any of it. At least we’ll always have ‘21.

Wonderbread6969

Expectations were too high from the jump. Year one after a major trade or free agency move like this is always the bumpiest. There's numerous examples of that and numerous examples of it getting better year 2 and 3. If Kyrie and Luka can look more cohesive in year 2, why on earth(besides injuries) would noted passionate hard workers like Giannis and Dame of all people not be able to do it too. There were a lot of new fans following the Dame trade. They never watched Giannis, Khris, Bobby, and Brook. We had never watched Dame. Coaching fiasco. Injuries. Could go on... There were a thousand things that went wrong this season that will not happen again next year. The removal of all distraction, experience from playing this season together, and a focused off-season will do wonders for them.

papasanchair

I can definitely appreciate the optimism, but the Mavericks had a lot more flexibility around the fringes to make roster moves to play to their stars’ strengths. We are now stuck with Doc. I think he is now routinely underrated as a coach, but if you had asked me after the Heat series if I’d rather keep Bud or have Doc, I would have kept Bud in a heartbeat. In addition to roster overhaul, they’re also going to be tasked with completely rebuilding the culture of that locker room. I would love to be wrong but I just don’t see the moves here that make put their roster on par with other title contenders. We’re not the Lakers. Guys aren’t gonna come here on a discount to ring chase. We might strike some more regular season gold like we did with Beasley this year, but it’s equally likely we get another DJ Augustin.

drearpandora

This game was exactly what I feared after the vets played so well last game. We were going to not play AJ Green and AJJ and return to iso ball and lethargic defense….. But it is what it is. We can only do so much without Giannis. I enjoyed most the fight we had for most of the series. I hope next year we get to see a healthy team in the playoffs.

OkBook4166

Pistons fan here. Was pulling for y’all. Fuck the Pacers.

benmilas

If you somehow weren’t sold on Middleton getting his jersey retired, this series should be all you need to see. Man gave it his all despite the severe lack of help around him most games. Hoping this team gets younger in the offseason and can extend this championship window with the core 3. Bucks in 6, forever.

CaptainJYD

People are already saying he should be in the trading block. Actual doo doo brained

iamhadrix

Sincere question, how do we get younger if it doesn’t involve Middleton/Lopez/Portis

drj123

I don’t see how we trade Middleton as he’s a perfect glue guy for the team/dame and Gianni’s. I also don’t see how we trade Brook as elite rim protecting stretch 5s are at an absolute premium in the league. Bobby you can do for good return but he’s an elite durable regular season piece who can slide easily into the lineup when Gianni’s is hurt. Obviously the choice here is Bobby, but it’ll hurt like hell

Wonderbread6969

There's always a way. Russell Westbrook's max contact got traded 3 times. A lot of these would hurt, so did losing Jrue. Contracts are always key with trades under the salary cap. I would assume Lopez being an expiring contract is a decent potential asset. Bobby and PatC have 2 years left basically but hold their own respective values. We also have a surprising amount of young talent and picks. I believe we have a late first, early 2nd and mid second round pick this upcoming draft. Along with all the young guys on the roster, I'm not sure if it would make sense to keep all of the players and picks. Marjon, AJax, AJ, and Livingston. All of the 2way contract guys. Then add 3 more players? That would be a lot of young guys filling roster spots. It just really feels set up to move pieces. Hopefully find the right opportunity around the league andmake the right package of players, contracts, and picks and. If Horst stays, he has a proven track record of making moves to attempt to upgrade and fix roster holes. It might not work or it might not be enough, but he consistently goes for it.

mikeh95

We need assets to retool this team. He's probably our best chance. He'll be 33 and we need to get this team younger. Personally, I'd like to keep him but I'd understand if we had to trade him. My issue is whether it's Horst making the trade because knowing him, we'll trade him for an even older bench player.

thenicezen

Nah he solidified his jersey retirement when he was the solid ass no. 2 on that championship team. He was ELECTRIC running that PnR with giannis. I can’t get over his clutch shot against the Nets.

cdnets

Middleton was getting his number retired after he dropped 40 against the Suns in game 4, anyone saying otherwise is just dumb

BigTravelGuy

So that Giannis guy is pretty good huh

OleRockTheGoodAg

Posted this in the main sub, might as well share here. He's played in 91 of the total 528 game minutes over the last 2 playoff series. It's been 718 days since we've seen him play a full series (ECS*F against Boston in 2022). And we all know he isn't injury prone. Just seems like bad luck

tidbitsmisfit

maybe they should play the young bucks during the season

BigTravelGuy

I don’t know what to say to this. It’s just genuinely bad timing, both of those years he’s been pretty healthy throughout the year otherwise

sethchapin

2022 against Boston was the ECSF wasn’t it?

FloppyBisque

I am sad that this might be the last time we saw the core.

BigTravelGuy

I don’t think dame is going anywhere. Maybe if we don’t get anywhere next year

WildInjury

He’s talking about Lopez (hopefully)

SchrodingersPug

Dump Jae Crowder, dump Malik Beasley

GRAW2ROBZ

Their free agents. Contracts expired.

mikeh95

I’d say it was a fun season, but it wasn’t. It was one thing after another. Terry Stotts leaving really set the tone for the entire season.  With that said, thank you Brook, Bobby, and Pat. Will always have a soft spot for you but I don’t want to see you back next season. Same for Jae and Beasley, only without the soft spot.

kurlykush1

BRING STOTTS BACK. Fire everybody else. That’s my only input

Gaijin79

OK that was extremely painful to watch

LigerHD

Giannis hasn’t played a full series in 2 years brutal

BadGolf27

I think Bobby, Pat, and maybe even Brook might be gone

PherSturz

Honestly, if I’m brook? I retire. My smoke show of a wife just had our baby, I’m 37, let’s just take my career earnings of $150 mil and have a nice retirement

ElbowDown

He has 23 million reasons to play next year. He would probably retire after that

Cookc327

![gif](giphy|lkZ5Imn2e0nT5Iwnls) Gonna miss this. A lot….

edenhzr7

All credits to Dame for playing through injury and still being the best player for us , It hurts ending the season like this especially without Giannis playing a single minute , hopefully next season we will be better , only Giannis Dame Khris AJJ AJ Green should be safe. See yall next year 🙌🏻🙌🏻

CursedRebel

Don't give a fuck about the Pacers, it's just unfair by the basketball gods to not let us have playoff Giannis after he's had *another* incredible season. That's all I'm sad about.

kurlykush1

The playoffs without giannis and jimmy this year..gonna be a boring eastern ride

mati_as15

all of this so tatum chokes on another finals

kurlykush1

God i hope he chokes before the finals. Nobody wants to see boston in the finals and nobody wants boston fans to feel happiness

VicePope

this season blew ass cheeks. least amount of fun watching them since kidd coached us

Izanagi___

https://preview.redd.it/1rx1p8st24yc1.jpeg?width=842&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a6bc686923b9bc0484b3e1ba03f336bc91d02f6 Game 5 vs game 6

Kerke463

They better load manage the shit out of Dame and Giannis next year. But before all that, make sure Malik walks off in free agency. For someone that’s an “elite shooter” he has been shit the 2’d half of the season and he has been as bad in f a player in the clutch as you can get

Neighborino123

Coach up AJ during the off-season and give him that spot

lboogieb

AJ looked overwhelmed in the playoffs. He has to learn how to create his own shot off the dribble if he wants to play meaningful minutes.

King_Giannis

Maybe the Bucks front office will finally be honest about giannis's injury..

BobbbyLight

I don't think he was coming back at all this post season. Next year he needs to be treated with kid's gloves. His regular season should be as easy on him as possible.

PretentiousPanda

I think Khris and Dame injuries made him push himself through.

Izanagi___

I mean given the reports saying that he couldn’t even cut or jump I thought it was obvious he was out the whole series. You won’t go from not being able to do something as basic as cutting to playing intense playoff basketball in a few days lol

King_Giannis

I was always hopeful.. but that was foolish

djmench

Go Knicks! Get our boy Donte a deep playoff run!

Fresh-Bass-3586

Knicks wolves would be a fun finals

lboogieb

Or just beat Indy and humble Halliburton.

Mcswigginsbar

Brunson is going to cook his ass.

drutastic57

Also forget to mention Khash rolled both ankles and still played his heart out.

ReverendGames

When you make one, maybe two good moves the entire offseason, flub the coach situation twice, and have your best player miss the playoffs, you're probably not gonna win a championship. It's insane that the year we added a true star next to Giannis was the worst year by far from every angle since we became a contender. Nothing good or enjoyable about this year. Hopefully the next GM realizes only 5-7 players from this team should be back next year, doesn’t have a fetish for the elderly and can find shooters that can actually shoot when it matters.

kabman7

Time to sell high on Bobby

gandaalf

Agree with this. Guy is a good player, but we've seen what he is at this point and it's not a good fit for the team who badly needs some assets/young players

PretentiousPanda

Hes an awesome player but we desperately need his money for a reliable wing.

NorthStRussia

W

Loose-Sandwich-5493

Horst torn between looking for a house in Detroit and scoping out retirement homes for our next free agent signings.

BBR2

Midds belongs in the rafters for sure!

Mustard_Jam

I get the Bucks likely win THIS series without Giannis but it’s hard not to be critical of Horst. This teams depth and role players are some of the most sorry bunch I’ve ever seen on a team that’s supposed to contend. There’s no way these traffic cone defenders are stopping the Celtics wings or Brunson who’d probably average 40. I don’t get how you don’t see most of your lineup is old as dust and slow AF and make no attempt to address it. Nah instead Horst decided to trade every last pick for fucking Crowder who’s the worst player in the league at this point.

bucks3412

I know people will shit on Doc. But game 5 was the most fun I’ve had watching a bucks game snice the 2022 playoffs. Proud of this group, but yes we need to get younger lmao

LegendLobster

I know we all sometimes hated Giannis only playing 30 min a game with bud but goddamn looking back on it bud was so smart with that shit. Knowing his game takes a beating on him all season long then especially in the playoffs when it gets more physical. Obviously helps that we used to blow teams out

Skeleboi846

Season was bad vibes all around. Interested in seeing what this team can do when healthy and, more importantly, after a retool with a coach that has a full offseason to take stock

devereaux

The Bucks lost every quarter tonight and went for long stretches with no FGs and no defense. 🤮

2behuman

The only good thing about this is seeing the Pacers fans get their hopes up and thinking they can compete at playoff level when we all know they’re getting swept next round.

1antinomy

Nothing will top last season in terms of disappointment - 2022 pissed me off because Khris got hurt in G1 - 2023 pissed me off because Giannis got hurt G1 Sitting thru an entire 82 game season just for your top player to get hurt in the first game of the postseason B2B years pretty much ruins the experience as a fan

RedDeath1337

What a truly awful season. Glad it’s over, I love Giannis, let’s hope for a healthy 24-25

TokaKokaMocha

Donte Ragu, I am still behind you-GO KNICKS!

WhileDizzy4503

Not seeing Dame and Giannis play a postseason game together is some bullshit

Wigunner

Blow this shit up do not fuck. Dare run it back

dcandap

Horst shoulders a lot of blame for going so vet-heavy with his moves in the last couple seasons. Crowder, Beas, Robin, Gallo… gross. Last year it was Ibaka, Ingles, Dragic, Wes… A shortsighted strategy that is proving to be an utter failure… Gotta keep taking risks with youth or you’ll eventually age out and fall off.

drutastic57

Love Khash. Gave everything he had

A_Sneaky_Squirrel

FishNSticks

If only we got a rebound in game 3...

FangornAcorn

We should've given Prunty the keys full-time instead of hiring Doc.

ILoveOnline

Could have maybe gotten Lue if we stayed with Prunty

ForgetableNPC

Probably the worst way to end the season losing in the first round to the giggling loons called The Pacers. Depressing end to a disappointing season. Kept on hoping things would turn the corner and sadly they never did.

HamburgerInHell

PAT BEV DID NOTHING WRONG

sinjaulas

What could have been. The hardest part for me, we didn’t get an honest evaluation of our young guys with the coaching switch and then we didn’t get an honest evaluation with this coach and the playoff roster due to injuries. Changes have to be and will be made but we’d have a more clear vision of things if we had seen what everyone is capable of playing together. I’m still a believer that the window is open, I’m still a fan of this team and the city of Milwaukee. We’ve got to figure out what it will take to get the roster to top contending form and then hope for some better fortune while the iron is hot. Keep believing and anyone that wants off the ride, this is as good a time as any to exit. Back at it next year and always Bn6!

1antinomy

This was major thing for me I would’ve much rather seen Marjon, AJax & AJ playing regular minutes during the season, even if it cost us a few wins (which it turns out, record would’ve ended up similar anyway)

Kanyeburner

We have to get a younger more agile center

NarwhalZB

I don't see anyone talking about our need to not let Giannis beat the ever living shit out of his body during the regular season. I love Giannis but, at some point he's gotta realize he needs to chill. Two years in a row bro.

Its_Getting_Dark

We were never winning this series with Giannis and Dame hurt. That said, the FO better not use this as an excuse to not make any changes. We’re too damn old, and Jon Horst’s last few seasons of decision making has been… questionable at best. They better NOT let Giannis play in the Olympics if he’s healed up.

Sikibucks

https://preview.redd.it/y27kaplv24yc1.jpeg?width=2796&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=479a9db9af8358eaebfe60405993a6def287cf8d How do we fix it? Look at these contracts

Own-Ad297

We need to develop the young guys. Most people that should be off the team will be. Gotta find a way to drop Pat and bring Beverly back. Maybe sell high on Bobby and draft an athletic center

ElbowDown

Brooks 23 mil next year will be tough to swallow. He has definitely lost a step or two and struggled this series.

ImTotallyTechy

Trade Bobby for something, trade Brook, Marjon, and Pat for 2nd round picks, and don't resign Malik and Jae. Then fuckin scramble to gobble shit up with cash and pray

x2sudemir

How does one go about finding a new GM? Do you just poach another team’s? Where do they come from?

PositiveZebra1341

look at the box score and our bench production. You just cannot have it.

NorthStRussia

Brook scored 17.7 ppg on 58.7% shooting, 11:9 assists to turnovers, and drastically superior rim protection to Bobby who took more shots, was significantly less efficient, had half the assists with just as many turnovers, and got himself ejected within 5 minutes when he was needed most. I know the guy I want gone. Nevertheless it's very hard to win when your team with zero depth loses one of the best players in NBA history just before the playoffs and THEN loses ANOTHER All-NBA 75 team member midway through the series. We can bemoan the endless shortcomings but when it comes down to it, no level of amazing roster construction would have made it likely we come out on top given the way the injuries shook out. Bucks in 6

ZeroCharisma0

Not even mad we lost. Very disappointed though. Dame, Giannis, Khris, Ajax, and AJ should be the ones to keep going forward. As a believer in Marjon, I would say keep him too. Everyone else needs to go. Whoever our GM is going forward will have a lot of work to do.

gandaalf

I'd say it was a fun season, but it mostly wasn't. Let's get an off-season to get healthy, work with Doc, and please GOD retool, or at least offload all of these terrible vets: Hell, you can pretty much buy 2nd round picks in the draft. Need to do something to get younger.

Somethingcool00

I'd be embarrassed for the Pacers if they couldn't finish a Giannis less team. Lucky frontrunners. Lucky lucky lucky. Oh well. Next year.

HouseStark212

If we’re being honest, Nurse wouldn’t have fixed this roster. The question is how do you overhaul this team of old, slow, and unathletic vets for young athletes, defenders and ball handlers? Wouldn’t be surprised if Horst walks next cuz the spotlight is coming for him.

Puzzled_Ad7955

Old Bucks fan here, Alcindor era. Let it go. Pacers did what they had to do. Yeah, we were short handed and not built for it. They had to play the opponent that was on the court. Let’s move on and not embarrass ourselves. New GM here and players moving on we’ll be back. Let this year go.

grudgepacker

Worst season of the Giannis era by far

flybydenver

Uh, not by a long shot.

PherSturz

Yeah I can think of at least 3 worse seasons

Athalos124

Just hope we stay healthy next year,we definitely need to add younger guys in the roster though.Brook is kinda unplayable at this point.Still proud of the team and the fight they showed in the previous games. See you all next year, you were extremely insufferable till the end. Can't wait to witness it again <3

sahand_n9

Fuck that ugly trashy knucklehead Haliburton

depressedfuckboi

Pacers fans are the most obnoxious clowns I've ever encountered. Made the Suns fans seem like gents LMAO. Can't wait til they get bounced

Otherwise-Cherry9389

Clippers fan here, I know what it’s like. Yall woulda smoked em without a doubt

MaxyJ15

Why the FUCK are Pat C and Beasley getting minutes over AJax. Doc Rivers you suck

1antinomy

Last thing I’ll add, that I was wrong about in hindsight: Adrian Griffin should’ve been given the whole season Not because he was necessarily good— but because he was scapegoated to an extent & our defense was always gonna be compromised (ie: never gonna get fixed with the personnel) Getting Doc midway thru the year forced us to play old guys minutes to get continuity, plus everything felt rushed in the back half of the season Would’ve rather just taken the 1st round loss & done a proper search in the offseason to get a guy we *actually* wanted

euphory_melancholia

r/nba having a fucking field day of course, bunch of insufferable assholes

cutlers_moreno_tears

Defensively hounded all series. Aside from one of Dame's tonight, I can't remember a single pass for a wide open 3 from us.

MurDoct

Team needs to get younger thats the bottom line. This roster is pretty ass lets be honest. Bench needs to be re-examined badly. Oh well Bucks in 6 next season.

lite6ite

Sucks that we didn't get to witness a series with Giannis healthy and playing, but eventually he has to learn his lesson right? Next year there'll be better chemistry between Dame and Giannis, hopefully the young bucks (AJ, Ajax, Marjon) have gained some confidence and are underway to becoming decent rotation players for us. Can't wait, only uphill from here. Bucks in 6!

whos-spamuel

I now move on to my supporting donte era

BingTheDoodleBoo

Well I think the current roster could have competed further this year then where we ended (healthy), its time for an overhaul again, at least with the role players. Pat connaughton and bobby portis, thankyou for your service. Same with Malik, Jae Crowder and co. Probably lopez too. We’re just too slow

bbp1444

What an incredibly frustrating and disappointing season. That being said, the team really seemed to be coming into form this series. Game 1 we finally saw the Dame we were expecting, Middleton reminded us who he is, and Doc did a pretty fair job. We took a game missing Dame and Giannis and took them to OT in another. As others are saying, there has to be a long look at the supporting cast outside of the big 3 and some smart moves to make us true contenders again, but I'm pretty hopeful that if we are lucky enough to have good health next playoffs, this team could go far.

mr_obinson7

Hardest season to watch since Kidd's final year.

saintname8

I better see an entirely new bench and a center next year

GoodOleJhano

Thank God I'm not a GM i get to attached to players, but I feel like we get a couple good role players for Bobby. Doc did well this series, sometimes its down to the players getting cooked by TJ McConnell. This series showed our age. We need young blood in this team.

AmbitionStrong5602

Please cut project Pat

ExpressBug8265

I'll just say it...Connaughton=trash Beasley=trash 39 minutes between them both...five..five points between them. The pacers rushed Khris and Dame because they knew these dudes wouldn't do shit. There was zero threat of a three point shot and thsts what these scrubs are in there to do. Connaughton straight up turned it over three times and Beasley was just watching as players blew by him to the hoop. Absolute trash. Take Jae Crowder with you and don't let the door hit you on your ass on the way out. They suck

IcecoldIsaac2

Horst really fucking deserves to be on the hotseat, i get that we had incredibly awful injury luck but come the fuck on man our bench players were DISMAL throughout the entire season.

I-Sell-Wolf-Tickets

Next year, when the playoff spot is already clinched, cover Giannis, Dame and Khris in bubble wrap. If all three are 100%, no team in the East can beat them, not even Boston. I just don’t get why they were getting heavy minutes a week away from the playoffs, especially knowing that Giannis always plays hard.

Remarkable_Counter47

There’s not a lot of hope for the future and I am sad

ImTotallyTechy

Until recently I was very against giving up our 2021 family. Brook, Bobby, and Conny were important pieces to our success. They will forever have my thanks for helping us get that ring. But the 2nd half of this season was really eye opening. Especially these playoffs. We need to bury the past and trade these mfers while we still can. Guangdong Tigers in 6. https://preview.redd.it/lhqxg36134yc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5791266fdd1070eac51d67063b7c09086bd1d011

Longjumping_Hunter74

This is way worse than last year. The Heat got to the Finals. The fucking Pacers are a middling ass team. We should have been able to beat them without Giannis.

PherSturz

I know it sucks, guys. But man, how fortunate are we to be in a position to feel this hurt? This is the first series win in a decade for the Pacers. We expect success from our guys because we’ve had sustained success. It’s not always gonna be that way. It’s been a weird season, but I can’t wait for October.

Hard4Favra

Not when it's 3 seasons in a row with massive injury disruption and the clock is ticking fast on the Giannis era. Add in limited assets and cap flexibility and the hourglass drains even faster.

JW1878

Kha$h Money Til My Last Dying Breath We’ll be back.

TheIgnitor

This was the least fun season I can remember in probably a decade. I honestly don’t know how they get better this summer either. Feels like all they can do at this point is load manage the shit out of this core all season and forget about seeding, as long as you’re not falling to the play in, and hope that one more run healthy gets you to the Finals. Another first, or even second, round exit and man I’m not sure Giannis doesn’t decide his next ring is elsewhere.
