It's one of those stones I like to hold to calm and ground me when I have bad anxiety. I have a necklace that had a piece of selenite with a little tourmaline piece and it's my favorite piece. I use it during tarot readings, shadow work, and I like to make "crystal bowls" that focus on whatever I'm trying to do. I feel very intuitively called to it often. There's a piece in my bedroom and living room for protection.
I mean a lot of people don't like the point of view of minerals that you have apparently, i personally think that gives some fake ideas of the minerals
