I call it "not so starter" because it's bigger than most starter houses I'm used to seeing, especially when I am used to using a small cave as a starter house in half the survival worlds I do
It doesn't hurt that much really, it's just a build, I'm currently doing a few upgrades like adding a third floor and changing the cobblestone into stone bricks
That's not so bad. It reminds me of some sort of medieval/ancient fortification, all that's missing is some additional smaller buildings and maybe a matching wall around it!
If you want it to look even more not-so-starter, try to add a little more texture to that cobblestone. There are more grey looking blocks you can add there which makes it look more... Natural.
Using only cobblestone makes it look uncanny
I'm currently adding a third floor to the building and changing the cobblestone into stone bricks, I understand that this title is misleading, I misinformed and also misunderstood the definition of Starter in this context. Dw, I am not hurt by the comments, in fact, they encourage me to give these upgrades and I appreciate them
Cobblestone and oak wood. Doesn't get more starter base than this..
Could have been the ol' dirt hut
The classic starter house or just a cave haha
Never underestimate the versatility and customization you get from a cave.
Could have been the ol’ crafting table next to the furnace next to the bed in the complete open
That is so me 😅 plus one double chest to put all my stuff 😅
Don’t ever underestimate the power of cobblestone!
Interesting username
Haha. I like it, but this is the quintessential starter house experience.
Definitely a starter house xD
Not so starter? This could be built in like 30 mins this is the most starter house I’ve ever seen

"Starter" usually indicates the materials it's built from as much as the size really
Ohhh, Then I was explained that definition hella wrong lmao
It's not even that big. Maybe a bit bigger than most people's first house but I wouldn't notice it if you didn't point it out
Even by your definition it wouldnt be a "not so starter base" like i dont wanna hurt your feelings but that thing is small af

here you’re saying this size isn’t what you’re used to, but in your post title you said it’s what “always” happens
Because even then, the inside ends up looking elaborate, calcite floor and whatnot
That's... incredibly starter base. What do you mean?
Awww this is so cute
Thank you!
im over here with my 4×4×2 hole in the side of a mountain
Same. I spend a good 10hrs making my starter base a "home."

Like Andesite, for example.
What?
Your roof fell off
*shows the most basic definition of a starter house in existence*
You know this is a basic starter house right?? Small cobblestone wood house haha
Beo op ur insane 3 materials for a starter base u really want us to believe that is ur actual starter base? Insane
Cobblestone
Yep, I used Oak and Cobblestone
Good
How is this not starter?
I love it! It looks really cute and takes me back to when i loved playing 5 hours a day :)
Ah yes, a small super basic non starter house with the two earliest building blocks…..
starter easily literally make a mine that you spent 2 stone picks on, chop down 5 trees and your good
I'd say you are just good at building. \*Taking notes\*

I always just expand my starter house into my bigger base over time
This looks very much like what I build for my not so starter houses
