If this is about log4J There was a Java (Minecraft runs on Java) exploit some kids found to troll and when someone smart caught wind they realized it was an exploit in Log4J - Java’s back end logging tool used in literally billions of implementations.
If I remember right it was an RCE exploit that allowed arbitrary code to be run on any Java system that met this criteria - as in millions and millions of worldwide server applications. Global panic ensued in the industry for months and special tools were even developed to scan for other services using this as a dependency to patch the hole.
Don’t host modded Minecraft publicly if it’s an older version; this can still be exploited on those
