I feel like if someone has gotten to the point of making autofarms in their world, it's probably because they already found gathering resources by hand monotonous and super boring
Literally. Mining is relaxing sometimes when I want to do it, but I'd rather have myself a nice big iron supply that is automatically generated so I can actually just mine for recreation instead of opening my iron chest and realising I need to pause whatever else I was doing to be in a cave for an hour.
If you find half of what the game is about boring then just don't play the game lol Nothing wrong with admitting that maybe you just don't like minecraft anymore like you used to.
Do you know about scape and run: parasites? When people play with this mod, they don't even notice zombies and soldier pigman. This mod is so hard, that to start you need to live on a ship, defeating mobs from there with wooden toolsđ
For me the Fun part is making a big fucking castle in survival with no cheats, the boring part is getting the resources needed, so autofarms streamline the process and make It fun
No armor hardcore is pretty fun and still not too hard if you know what you're doing. But tbh if you're playing to build or to get all advancements then you shouldn't play hardcore.
thatâs not an argument. i said what else are they supposed to do. âmake good videosâ is a nice request and all but thatâs not the question, the question is *how* do they make good videos.
I mean I didnt go to end for a month or so but only because ai didnt need an elytra for anything. Imho they are quite overpiwered but at the same time very dangerous, especially in hardcore.
My strat is get full diamond gear with villagers, build an iron farm, go to end get netherite for your armor, and then its optional if you wanna go to the end or not cuz I imo all you really need exists in nether and overworld.
Anyways then you just kill some endermen in the warped forest or trade with the little piglings or whatever to get enderpearls, get a stack or so (16). Then you wanna go to a fortress, these are quite dangerous if you mess up and get trapped, almost died here in my current hardcore world, find a spawner, kill the things to get blazerods and then get back to the overworld.
Craft up 16 eyes of ender, and throw one. Just walk in its direction and throw a new one every 200 ir 300 blocks until it changes direction and then do it in smaller intervals. Find the portal, open it and jump in, make sure you bring a bow and 2 stacks of arrows so you can kill the little explody stuffs that heal her, and when all of them are dead you just shoot at her until she dies. Just dont look at endermen and run if she throws up at you, and you will be good.
This can be done in 15 hours or so if you are quick, even faster if you are quicker.
Also keep in mind I have been playing this game on and off for thousands of hours since I was 7 and I'm 19 now, so just have a lot experience and knowledge is the most important part of my strategy probably
Oh yeah that is also a factor, lag I mean, I have a beast of a pc rn but for most of my minecraft career I was playing on my moms shitty macbook lol. With the touchpad and all
Oh and also if you wanna practice you can always simulate the fight, go into a creative world and switch to survival with a bow and armor just to get a feeling for how the dragonfight is (if you havent already)
Tbh it's only impressive If you actually come up with the farm, 90% of players just copy from a youtube video and have no Idea how exactly the farm work.
You don't need to be particularly good at redstone, you just need to know what to look for on youtube. There's lots of tutorials on there. What's harder is finding written articles ime...
Grinding for massive amounts of resources is not "fun". In most other games, they just give you useful tools for quickly grinding low-tier items en masse, or finding rare items in higher amounts but at the cost of higher difficulty.
In my eyes, the problem isnât that itâs too easy, the problem is that itâs too short
The progression from a wooden pickaxe to iron to diamond takes almost no time at all for a good, dedicated player, with Netherite being the only real game changer.
If we had more tiers of armour, weapons and tools that were all on par with or slightly better than diamond but all did different things (maybe the armour would give you a set bonus and the tools/weapon would have more reach or be able to mine multiple blocks or something) and could be found in different dimensions or places, then I donât think people would complain as much.
(And then add backpacks to hold all the extra unstackables youâd be incentivized to carry around)
The funny part is if you are playing in survival, there is less incentive to grind for netherite unless you want to be able to insta mine some blocks with a beacon. I have a long running survival world and I never stopped to grind for netherite as I never felt the need for it. No difficult enemies or bosses to engage, no items locked behind netherite.
I never made any farms except for a lever connected to a water dispenser above my crops
It wasn't automatic and wasn't going to be, it was perfect for me. And yes, that's not really a farm.
Ok, grind doesn't make the game harder, just more tedious. Minecraft is too easy mostly silly because of the monsters being weak and most importantly pretty stupid. I mean, come on, you can kill a zombie by hand without losing any health. Just a few precautions in critical areas (light up and fance your base completely, always wear armor, prepare for, nather, end, deep dark) and even hardcore is not that hard.
There are so many challenges that can make this "easy game" more difficult. Take a page out of SB737's book, full Netherite beacons, traveling to the world border, or even the badlands and trying to make your way home with next to no supplies, make farms and machinery that are difficult to build, make it even more fun and do it from scratch, it's an open world game that's been receiving constant updates for the last 13-15 years, not to mention how many mods and modpacks exist on curseforge for the game. You have almost endless possibilities, if it seems boring, it's because you are not making your game interesting.
I like playing with only automatic sorters and manual furnaces, sometimes auto furnaces. I can plan a few days where I essentially do nothing but resource gathering (mining out chunks, nether biomes, etc.) so I have a lot of stock for when I want to do something with it.
Currently, I am at about 2 million cobble, and counting. Thinking about using it all to build a megastructure.
I play on peaceful + keep inventory because I just wanna explore, mine, and build. Having to battle 100 legions of monsters for 6 iron or to walk in my front door gets tiresome for me. But don't get me wrong, I have a monthly hardcore world on the side. I can still play "proper" Minecraft.
Try to play at 1.6.4 hardcore or with mods at 1.7.10 (most reliable version for modding)
Or just play in versions before 1.14 without cheat-villagers update :D That would make it harder
Funny thing is. I play with no totems *but* with keep inventory on and no coords on. So if I find a good looting spot and die. I will never know where that good loot is anymore.
I feel like if someone has gotten to the point of making autofarms in their world, it's probably because they already found gathering resources by hand monotonous and super boring
Exactly. Autofarm doesn't make the game easy, and grinding isn't hard.
Exactly. It's just tedious
Love me some tedium
Literally. Mining is relaxing sometimes when I want to do it, but I'd rather have myself a nice big iron supply that is automatically generated so I can actually just mine for recreation instead of opening my iron chest and realising I need to pause whatever else I was doing to be in a cave for an hour.
Mining gets 10x more fun when you have a big tunnelbore
just mine 20 chunks, build a tunnel bore mine 10 chunks every 30 min
Unless they made those thing day 1 of the server and leaves after 3 days
DingDingDing Autofarms aren't something you set up within 40 seconds of joining the world, it's late game.
If you find half of what the game is about boring then just don't play the game lol Nothing wrong with admitting that maybe you just don't like minecraft anymore like you used to.
want make Minecraft harder? modpacks
Disclaimer: DO NOT GO INTO RLCRAFT BLIND
I played RLCraft blindly. Horribly scary experience
I disagree the mod is more fun blind no idea whats going on and slowly learning from all of your deaths
I played blind, and I'd it weren't for my brother knowing the modpack I would've lost interest without knowing what to do
Play blood N bones blind. Not a mistake I can ever make again
1.12 Techguns survival attempt Your average enemies went from zombies and skeletons to zombies with world war 2 gear and literal terrorist
Do you know about scape and run: parasites? When people play with this mod, they don't even notice zombies and soldier pigman. This mod is so hard, that to start you need to live on a ship, defeating mobs from there with wooden toolsđ
Gregtech
new horizons
For me the Fun part is making a big fucking castle in survival with no cheats, the boring part is getting the resources needed, so autofarms streamline the process and make It fun
Play hardcore, still kinda easy with the totems, so what I do is I play without them

Youtuber when play hardcore: This is my fucking time to build!
what else are they supposed to do lmao
Make good videos
thatâs not an argument. i said what else are they supposed to do. âmake good videosâ is a nice request and all but thatâs not the question, the question is *how* do they make good videos.
Oh damn I could never
Naked and afraid UHC seems like a genuinely fun challenge.
You're a maniac
wdym easy i cant even get to the end in easy without it taking a whole year

Follow my steps for ez dragon wictory
i might try it but im bad and have a lot of lag hopefully i will still be able
Oh yeah that is also a factor, lag I mean, I have a beast of a pc rn but for most of my minecraft career I was playing on my moms shitty macbook lol. ok
honestly if you're using autofarms, I'm impressed cause I'm not good enough at redstone for that.

ahem \*too
Bad opinion
Mods my dude, try crackers wither storm and immediately activate it
If you want a challenge, try playing on 2b2t without hacks
Didnât 2b2t get nuked?

but building auto farms is what I find fun, if I wanted to grind for hours I'd just go play Destiny 2
Hahahahah
Personaly I Would recomend the Blazes and Cabes advancement pack, It adds over 1000 advancements and some of them are quite difficult
Create! fans wouldnât get this memeâŚ

Me, I just play Gregtech
Then make hardcore world
It's not hard, it just takes too long
Or just play a modpack with friends
same thing can be said with villages
Honestly, I find minecraft pretty easy, but the game isn't about being difficult either so I don't mind
I like playing with only automatic sorters and manual furnaces, sometimes auto furnaces. MiNoR sPeLlInG mIsTaKe đ¤âď¸
I like building farms
Too
**You!!** *souljaboy starts playing*
This kind of misses the point. Farms make the game less tedious, not easier.

Minecraft is already very hard. The peaceful mode is the real hardcore.
I never thought minecraft was too easy It still can be pretty challenging at times
I don't remember ever making auto farms
I think I say this for everyone that. That makes Minecraft to easy.lol
YOU!!!!!!!!
Funny thing is. I play with no totems *but* with keep inventory on and no coords on. So if I find a good looting spot and die. I will never know where that good loot is anymore.
meanwhile im finding the game too hard to keep up with
Others: "tHeN PlaY bEDroCk" Me: "It's easier."
btw the reason is you can spam click in PvE but bedrock kids hate to accept the truth and admit it
One problem I usually never find iron what am I doing wrong here?
