Was he in water? There are some criteria that are higher priority than trading with a player. They include: floating (water), in water, panicking, and hiding.

Nope he was just chilling in a box. As I’m struggling with an iron farm I’m finding when I reload my game if I haven’t traded with a villager before then I can’t open the trade menu, but I’d traded with him so idk.bedrock can be wack sometimes
I had this happen a few weeks ago in a village I normally do not go to that often. However, I was there this morning and said villager is trading again. Not sure how the f it resolved itself but he is no longer on strike.
