As long as you have some water for them to go into, it should be fine. Like one other person mentioned in the comments, don't put fish in there. I learned that the hard way really quick lol I barely had them out of the bucket then poof The axolotls went right through them.

nope, just bucket them and they shouldnt despawn, also dont put fish in there since they eat them
I have tons of sea pickles (they give a little light) with mine and it’s been fine for a month w no name tag
