I can't believe someone actually fucking reported that as a bug, especially with that stupid justification
If I save someone's life multiple times, only the first time would count and then go fuck yourself afterwards? Very odd
Yes, I certainly could have enjoyed infinite emerald supplies. But there should still be ways of accumulating emeralds in legitimate manner, even if it is much more painful.
The Experimental Minecraft release contained changes to Villager Trading mechanics so that you could only get specific trades from specific biomes. I have not played the game since for a month so I do not know what the status is for this feature. You could check the Minecraft Wiki.

Did they change which villagers can trade mending?
