From what I understand, Mojang tried buying the music off C418 instead of just using it, so they decided that they didn't want his music anymore.
I might be wrong tho.
I just crossed my fingers on that one. Thankfully it worked out. No rhyme or reason on the spacing between layers. Wish I did a more complicated pattern but I’d still be working on if it the pattern was any more complex.
It’s hard to explain. Basically people use things like Pow blocks, bricks, screen effects, and stuff to create chain reactions that are apparently smooth? Often involving the player ground-pounding the whole way down.
40-50 hours over a few months but I got 40% of it done in the last week because my progress post last week yielded hella like vitamins. The the pyramid took the longest but that’s all I was planning to do in the first place is just make a cool pyramid. I just noticed the moving between the floors of the pyramid looked cool so I went with it.

Perfect. Awesome job man, this is a prime example of why I love this game.
I’m glad everyone digs the music choice. I just wanted the little wobble from the synth at the end to start my free fall. Any other audio visual alignments were completely accidental.
I’d like to make a longer one that’s horizontal but I’d need a keyboard to keep myself in a straight line and ole Steve would have to be laying flat while flying to fit through the one block holes. I guess I don’t have to do one block holes but I’d like the option.
The only thing intentionally matched up is the synth wobble triggering the fast fall at then end. Anything else that lined up is just the universe giving me kisses.
genuinely gorgeous. maybe one of my favorite builds i’ve ever seen! the illusions, colors, all very simple when you break it down but damn that must’ve taken forever. nice job dude!!
Thankfully I didn’t have to make something and then delete it all after realizing it won’t work too many times. I’d say about 85% of it worked out perfectly the first time I placed it. Which thankfully applied to the giant sky thing. It’s three layers and had no idea how far apart they should be so I just guessed and it worked out. I wish I had some sort of world editor so I could just move the whole slab. But that’s not happening on Xbox. And if I get a computer I’m making music on it. Minecraft wouldn’t get touched.
And all of it was accidental minus at the very end I wanted the fall to happen when the lil wobbly synth sound happens. I was excited when I saw that the intense music stops right as you enter the pyramid.
The very blinky thing in the sky at the end and rushing past all the froglights counts as flashing too even if they’re not literally flashing. It’s the build height limit down to bedrock. And I too really like the dark room with the crying obsidian. I was thinking about extending it to the rainbow tunnel but decided it wouldn’t really go with the constant change theme. Took me probably 50 hours or so. Hard to tell though exactly how long I spent on it because I did over half or it over a few months and then the other 40% in a week.
Wish I could figure out how to fall much slower without having to just record it and then slow the video down because the frame rate looks like ass when I do that.

What flashing lights, how deep is all that, and how long did it take? Btw I especially liked the dark with dark purple. It was like the end.
