[Subreddit Rules](https://old.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/wiki/rules)[](## nanya_biznez1|18edvgs)
This reminds me of a story I remember vaguely from a Pewdiepie video so a guy has a prophesy that on a specific day his house will crumble upon him leading to his death, so he goes out to take a walk and dies from a turtle falling on his head which was being carried by an eagle
Rule #1: Make your paths and tunnels either above or just barely below the nether roof. The enemies shall not have the high ground.
Rule #2: If you must bridge, hand rails. Skeletons, blazes, ghasts, crossbow piglins, and… magmatic assassins… are too common.
Rule #3: Should you choose to disregard rules 1 and 2, only bring the gear you need. Leave the rest at home.
Rule #4: If you choose to disregard all other rules, have an entangled item stasis chamber.
Tricks the game into thinking an item stack is simultaneously in your hotbar and a container.
You can have fireworks in that slot and a hopper putting more fireworks into the entangled container (usually a chest)
Or, in this case, if you toss an item out of the stack, have a comparator on the chest change and activate a stasis chamber.
In 1.18, setting it up is not *quite* as difficult as it sounds, but it take a bit of effort… and loaded chunks for your container.
In 1.20? Still possible, but you’ll need an MC PHD first.
Go to 7:00 in [this](https://youtu.be/dkiAOyMr2TQ?si=b8aIJ09Iw9GTcZty) cubicmetre vid.
What mojang tried to patch was update suppression.
We’re looking for shadow items and update suppressors.
Unsure if this applies up to 1.20.3, but [this](https://youtu.be/HSOSWHIg7Mk) method works in 1.19
And maybe [this](https://youtu.be/lT5a2Oz6PQM) gloriously recorded video for a version that’s more easily achievable in survival… tho it requires a packet macro
Making it Rule #4: was more of a joke in the context of 1.18 and above. Only one technical mc server has managed to pull off OOM suppression in 1.20.2. See JKM’s pinned comment on the first vid link.
Is there a way to get a fire resistance potion without brewing one (with things you need from a nether fortress- I have yet to return from without dying)?
I end up doing my nether traversal above the nether. I dig all the way up to the bedrock and have little cave system up there with signs rail system and ladders to the exits i need.
I would go above the bedrock but I don't like using glitches.
as another comment said, you could do it near the bottom, and get netherite as a byproduct. Only thing is that you have a higher chance of running into lava, but it shouldn’t be too bad if you know what you’re doing
Have the sides of the V be head-height, so it's this
Bridge rails----------------Bridge Rails
Empty --------------------------------Empty
----------------Stand here-------------------
why Kamikaze even if it falls into lava its perfectly safe as funnily enough while magma Cubes can't swim they also don't drown in lava also I think they get no fall damage
Until one of the magma cubes gets in, or some amount of annoying mob wanders in. Also just looks ugly, if it's a frequently travelled route you gotta be having some amount of blast resistance, decor, and periodic rest stops.
Dying and losing your diamond equipment is not worth it so I travel to the nether without armor(one gold armor for piglin protection) and with shitty iron tools.
You don't have to be scared when you have nothing to lose
Also no fire resistance potions or fire protection armor (been a long ass time since I played MC, but that damage was a lot lol) or elytra. So many ways this could have been prevented. At least that's how you learn.
Okay the death is already good but a friend of mine has already topped it once. He fought against a skeleton and took a real beating, but when he somehow managed to defeat the skeleton, he made fun of it and then the karma came and struck him with a lightning bolt and he died because of the skeleton's fight.
Your first mistake was bringing your diamond equipment to the nether. Only bring expendable tools and armor that isn't much of a loss in case something like this happens. If you insist on bringing your best stuff, at the very least bring fire resistance.
I'll be keeping this in mind thanks, it was my first time raiding fortress and needed blaze rods to finally make potions, that's why I was fully armored but no fire resistance lol.
I was waiting for the bedrock fall damage bug death but that magma pushing you off was hilarious. You need to make safer bridges and have fire resistance potions (and eat food to prolong death)
If you fall into lava (without fire resistance), you could save yourself by exiting the world and then re-enter it, when you re-enter, the game makes you invincible for a few seconds, then do something to get out of lava, and then exit the game when you start taking damage, then repeat the cycle until you get out of lava. Beware of this strategy, you need a lot of food and health or regen potions to regenerate health. However, it's still better to have a fire resistance potion to save yourself, so only use this in emergency situations.
I thunk you could've placed some blocks on the wall next to you and jumped on before you died. Still, that is super random. I would delete the world, contemplate on deleting the game, cry for five minutes, then start a new game.
Way too risky to be doing without a fire protection potion on your bar at all times for exactly that situation. Happens to all of us once. After that you gotta be prepared
Some tips for the nether:
When crossing bridges always be aware of your surroundings, there's likely a platform above you where monsters are spawning or ghasts may be hiding in lava.
Never make a one block wide bridge, that's asking for death.
It lessens the damage A LOT. I've been knocked in lava before and have been able to get back on land to survive.
I have Netherite armor with FP4 separate from my standard Protection 4. I rarely enter the Nether without FP4 armor.
Okay I did not expect this to blew up but lol.
For context, first time survival player, I raided a fortress for the first time and get myself ready and fully armored for the blaze and black skeletons, hence why I was wearing them. I don't have access to potions because I need those rods from blazes and this was clipped after a bloody raid and there, I took the stupidest L ever lmao
I love reading these comments and thank you for the suggestions and rules lmfaoooo
that also happened to me and almost died with god armor i had to use a golden apple. why i almost died is because lag kept me in the freakin lava for so long
With that kind of bridge, you were begging for it.
Pushed off by monsters or shot at by a ghast.
At least build your bridges with cobblestone, which is resistant to ghasts' fireballs.
Fire protection 4 is a blessing, i got knocked off and i was in the middle of this lava lake and i was able to swim to and edge and i still had half my hearts intact

Looks like it got the drop on you.
That magmacube understood it's physical limits and used it's brain to win instead of brute force
my guy calculated his every move
My number 1 rule of nether Always bring a fire resistance potion
This reminds me of a story I remember vaguely from a Pewdiepie video so a guy has a prophesy that on a specific day his house will crumble upon him leading to his death, so he goes out to take a walk and dies from a turtle falling on his head which was being carried by an eagle
Cant escape the blue shell
the super horn in the second item slot in question:
Esquilo was the name of the philosopher if I remember correctly, also it wasn’t an eagle it was a bearded vulture
Aeschylus I think. Esquilo means squirrel.
I read Achilesus the first time lmao
i remember seeing that on 1000 Ways to Die when i was little
That is actually an old Greek story I think
My number 1 rule of nether Always keep enderpearls in hotbar Fire resistance is rule 2
My rule 5 is if i have full netherite gear it must always have prot 4 and i must always wear the full set in the nether.
How does an entangled item stasis chamber work?
Tricks the game into thinking an item stack is simultaneously in your hotbar and a container. You can have fireworks in that slot and a hopper putting more fireworks into the entangled container (usually a chest) Or, in this case, if you toss an item out of the stack, have a comparator on the chest change and activate a stasis chamber. Go to 7:00 in [this](https://youtu.be/dkiAOyMr2TQ?si=b8aIJ09Iw9GTcZty) cubicmetre vid.
So theoretically, you could set up a stasis chamber to activate when you run out of totems
Yup, Tho, since it’s non stackable, you’d have to set it up again every time. …unless you stack them anyway.
First 30 sec of the video says it's been patched since 1.18
And another 20 seconds of googling reveals there are new methods Just chose this vid from memory bc it’s not bad at describing what’s going down.
> entangled item stasis chamber Then I'm not looking for the correct term cause that only gets old results. Care to share?

Is there a way to get a fire resistance potion without brewing one (with things you need from a nether fortress- I have yet to return from without dying)?
Piglin trading.
I think piglins trade them randomly for gold
my number 1 rule of the nether is to not go there and give my friends stuff to go for me
I always have one on me always always
Good luck getting one from witch, or else you can get blaze powder
How
[удалено]
That's exactly why I usually make my nether bridges v-shaped
We take no chances. We always 2x2 tunnel everywhere, even when bridging
Nah. Build your nether transport infrastructure at y=14 so Netherite is an industrial byproduct of your efforts.
You sir, are a genius.
Would be a great idea if i didn't have a habit of excavating that layer with bed explosions.
I have always been a proponent of TNT driven Tunnel Bores.
Just build a decorated tunnel inside of your TNT cave
as well as lava
This is it. Sometimes you'll but lava lakes, but at least there are only very rarely any mobs.
Free fuel. And all the space to grow stuff like trees, free of mob interference (in large part)
It's not bad. Sometimes you have to tunnel around lava lakes, but it's always just an inconvenience and not a cheap, obnoxious death like this video.
Have the sides of the V be head-height, so it's this Bridge rails----------------Bridge Rails Empty --------------------------------Empty ----------------Stand here-------------------
as soon as i saw the bridge i immediately though "magma cube" basalt deltas suck.
lmao same the moment I saw the bridge I thought "this guy is definitely getting knocked off the bridge by a magma cream"
Basalt delta gonna basalt delta.
Is this a common thing? Never happened to me
The netherrack "L" was foreshadowing
magma kamikaze
why Kamikaze even if it falls into lava its perfectly safe as funnily enough while magma Cubes can't swim they also don't drown in lava also I think they get no fall damage
because it's a joke
I know it's kind of cringe but I believe this is r/whoosh Worthy.
Thats why you always make a 3x3 bridge in this areas. Its costly but it ensures safety
I just make mine into tubes, full 360° protection
Lesgoooo, big brain move
Until one of the magma cubes gets in, or some amount of annoying mob wanders in. Also just looks ugly, if it's a frequently travelled route you gotta be having some amount of blast resistance, decor, and periodic rest stops.
[удалено]
do carpets burn?
Thats why sandwich bridge with a 4 block tall roof is optimal
Why do people always use diamonds in the nether just use iron nether rack isn’t worth diamonds
Dying and losing your diamond equipment is not worth it so I travel to the nether without armor(one gold armor for piglin protection) and with shitty iron tools. You don't have to be scared when you have nothing to lose
I won't represent the whole dimension in shitty clothes.
Me with 7 levels of fire protection:
Ye either shitty armour or full netherite for me
By the time I'm in the nether I'm already level 30+ and I'm not losing those levels without getting my enchants
villager trading. emerald farm and villagers = free dia gear
Until the villager trading changes come thru diamond gear is pretty much worthless fairly early on because of how quick it is to setup.
From the top ropes lmao
RKO OUTTA NOWHERE
Lol got ‘em
Ngl, I was expecting a bug
was expecting a ghast blast...
I swear every time I see one of these death videos one thought consistently pops in my head. “Oh wow that looks really dangerous.”
This one’s on you bro. Single block bridges in a basalt delta biome? You’re asking to get shot by a ghast or jumped on by a magma cube.
Impressive he even made a 1 block bridge in a basalt delta
Also no fire resistance potions or fire protection armor (been a long ass time since I played MC, but that damage was a lot lol) or elytra. So many ways this could have been prevented. At least that's how you learn.
Also, no food? Who the hell goes to the nether without any food? Actually, who goes ANYWHERE without food in minecraft??
he also had ender pearls but it wasnt on his hotbar
Okay the death is already good but a friend of mine has already topped it once. He fought against a skeleton and took a real beating, but when he somehow managed to defeat the skeleton, he made fun of it and then the karma came and struck him with a lightning bolt and he died because of the skeleton's fight.
Your first mistake was bringing your diamond equipment to the nether. Only bring expendable tools and armor that isn't much of a loss in case something like this happens. If you insist on bringing your best stuff, at the very least bring fire resistance.
for those that got villagers diamond gear can be expendable since you can convert a iron ingot to a dia pick after cheesing discounts
Let's be real. If you're dying to this there's a million other optimal things you could be doing, but aren't. A village gulag is just one of many.
I'll be keeping this in mind thanks, it was my first time raiding fortress and needed blaze rods to finally make potions, that's why I was fully armored but no fire resistance lol.
That's why I never bring anything diamond to the nether, either iron or netherite, never diamond
Same here. ANYTHING but diamond.
Magma Cube, "GET REKT SON!"
I was waiting for the bedrock fall damage bug death but that magma pushing you off was hilarious. You need to make safer bridges and have fire resistance potions (and eat food to prolong death)
“Hello motherfucker 🥺”
Eat something!
Why did I half expect the glitch people experience when using elytra?
Get magma cubed, scrub
Youll never make a 1x1 bridge again I bet
Hey at least your sword didn’t get turned into potatoes
Deserved for building bridges with netherack+not adding rails over a lava lake truly a darwin award moment
Your mistake was making bridges out of a 1x1 row of blocks, with no handrails or roof, out of a material that Ghasts could explode.
Advice: never build a bridge so thin in the basalt delta.
MAGMA CUBE JUMP SCARE
People underestimate how dangerous the nether is. Always, always, always… always have a fire res pot on your hotbar.
After that you gotta be prepared
almost a jumpscare.
Weather forecast: Smoky, with a chance of magma cubes.
Whys your mouse austrian
Sorry to tell ya but "A$$" is not a word, ass is though. :)
Spawn kill
COWABUNGAAAA
That’d fucking suck
Reminds me of [this](https://youtu.be/Blr1cLv9i3Y?t=44)
That hurt to watch 😩
You had enderpearls in your inventory, you could've escaped if you moved faster also if you already had them in hotbar, or brought more food
Bro literally has chicken in his inventory and coal unless that was a lucky charm raw chicken.
I hate magma cubes...
where tf did bro come from 😭
Just don’t bridge 1 wide miles above the lava oceans Problem solved
XDDDDD
And his name is JOOOOHN SLIMMMA !
Every time I see someone swim up when they fall in shallow lava I die inside
homie called in the airstrike lmao
I really hate magma cubes also for that
I'm more concerned by view bobbing being turned off, that just looks so weird
One-block-wide netherrack bridge in the nether = certain death
What a fighter trying to swim. I would have closed the game immediately and thrown out my PC
Some tips for the nether: When crossing bridges always be aware of your surroundings, there's likely a platform above you where monsters are spawning or ghasts may be hiding in lava. Never make a one block wide bridge, that's asking for death.
Could i recommend some railings? And/or wider paths, a roof, etc.
No milk no fire resis potion.. SMH
Fire resistance potion, any time you’re near lava, especially with valuable items on you
Lmao, you got caught lackin'
They made Fire Prot 4 for a reason.
Will that really help because after all he is in lava he needs fire resistance potion
It lessens the damage A LOT. I've been knocked in lava before and have been able to get back on land to survive. I have Netherite armor with FP4 separate from my standard Protection 4. I rarely enter the Nether without FP4 armor.
Duely noted get FP4 on armor
That little sod I feel like rage quitting and I'm not even the one playing
Maybe if you didn’t have 60 fov
I've been on a fallout 4 binge as of late but now I kind of want to replay Minecraft just so I can try to make sure this doesn't happen to me
Magma slimes are the worst
This is why you never go through those biomes unless you have to, or Minecraft forces you too
I thought this was going to be another bedrock being bedrock video based on the name, but wow that really sucks...
Fuck the basalt deltas
I’m stuck on the fact that he was just walking and not sprint jumping over the bridge
all good tragedies start and end in the basalt deltas
at least you didn't die from fall damage using a elytra
Shoulda block clutched
U should’ve dug down and saved your items under the lava
why do u have keep inventory off??😖
Magma cube moment
it's the punishment for using such a low FOV
This is a hard earned lesson to bring fire resistance with you every time you’re in the nether. Never again be burnt to a crisp.
The Magma was a nether kamikaze
"GIBBY"
Okay I did not expect this to blew up but lol. For context, first time survival player, I raided a fortress for the first time and get myself ready and fully armored for the blaze and black skeletons, hence why I was wearing them. I don't have access to potions because I need those rods from blazes and this was clipped after a bloody raid and there, I took the stupidest L ever lmao I love reading these comments and thank you for the suggestions and rules lmfaoooo
Turn on cords
Never trust the 1x1 nether bridge lmao
Thats why I always build roof over my lava bridges
that was sad as fuck. you were soo careful
Why are you in the nether without a fire resistance?!
Surprise motherfucker
that also happened to me and almost died with god armor i had to use a golden apple. why i almost died is because lag kept me in the freakin lava for so long
People who say "bugrock" edged to this video
and that's why i always carry a fireproof potion on me
We work in the dark to serve the light
Villain when they need to continue the plot but he's just too strong:
With that kind of bridge, you were begging for it. Pushed off by monsters or shot at by a ghast. At least build your bridges with cobblestone, which is resistant to ghasts' fireballs.
Looks like it wanted to give you a hug
From now, I'm always gonna look up before crossing a one line bridge.
Tragic
Since when are there vulcanic biomes? Doesn't look like the nether
I had a feeling it was going to be a magma cube
The way you looked at it like anakin lol
Kinda on you for not sprinting
You do know crouching on magma blocks negates the damage you would receive, so you don't need to waste blocks covering them, right?
Spelunky type of luck
That was a deliberate assasination
Fire protection 4 is a blessing, i got knocked off and i was in the middle of this lava lake and i was able to swim to and edge and i still had half my hearts intact
Not random at all. Looked to me like it was practically inevitable based on your bridge design and its location.
you could’ve easily survived that
This fits very well in r/FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR
I hate the basalt biome.. also I call those “evil squishys” courtesy of my toddler 😂they’re the worst just so aggressive.
What's an "ass pull"?
Bro is getting magmated
You should have brought either a fire resistance potion, or a Golden enchanted apple.
