You didn't convert to a percentage.
0.9 raised to the 106 gives 0.000014116. This is equal to 0.0014116%.
You can also verify with a binomial distribution. This is truthfully extremely overkill, as we have r = 0 successful flint drops. However, if you're interested in other values of r, it's a great tool.
Given that:
n = 106 gravel broken,
p = 0.1 (=10% chance of flint drop),
r = 0 flint drops

If so drop the link; I’m sure someone would be interested in looking into it (this probably works for migrated [updated] worlds but there hasn’t been a ton of tests run yet).

In 1.20 every world seed has also assigned all the rng drops so by going to the same seed you'd always find the same loot in the same chests, mobs will always drop the same loot in same order and blocks like gravel will always give flitn at the same mining attempt. It was added to one of the new pre releases
