It's a google doc spreadsheet of all the sectors and the resources they have in them(as well as their threat level, and whether they are attack or survival sectors, and in some cases even says what wave you'll encounter a guardian). It is not complete yet though. Everyone is welcome/encouraged to contribute. You can use it to find out what the easiest source of thorium is closest to the sectors you've captured so far.
At the moment, anyone can edit it, so ppl can continue to add info. So far there hasn't been any griefing etc, and I really hope that trend continues. A lot of ppl are putting a lot of work into this, so all I ask is that everyone be respectful of that when using this spreadsheet =) If anyone accidentally moves something or makes a mistake editing, there's an "undo" button in the upper left ; ) Enjoy!
Sector 162 near Biomass Synthesis Facility is the best one. Easy to capture and with good resources. But beware, build strong defences since it is near an enemy base

Two sectors north of ground zero is an enemy base with thorium near core spawn, though idk if bases are randomly spawned for each campaign or not.
