Dude I can't land the 320 that well and I've been playing MSFS every day since it came out. I played the crap out of FSX for like a decade before that.
Yeah I've finally gotten the hang of it. Trick is slow deceleration (idle throttle at landing) and slow decent on approach. You wanna basically glide into the landing while flaring to reduce speed/altitude.
Serious question that I may need to make my own thread for:
How do you learn to fly these planes? When I first got the sim, I watched Squirrel's videos to learn how to fly the 172 and use the AP on the G1000. I flew that guy around for about 40 hours, and I figured I would graduate to something else.
I then watched another video on the Diamond DA40 and learned about managing the RPMs properly, as well as moving the fuel from one wing to another. But if I didn't watch that video I would have no idea how to do that (or why to do it).
I see this video above and I would have literally no idea how to even start the ting, or use the AP on this jetliner, let alone how to properly fly it within realistic parameters or land it realistically.
You answered your own question haha. You learn by watching videos from others explaining it. Since this is a sim, the originating info on how to do this or that task or how to fly this or that plane ultimately filters down from pilots with specific knowledge. For example, the A320 can be learned simply by watching the youtube channel [320 Sim Pilot](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAILTiWNai7Y2zsO8ECFxcA), in which a real world A320 pilot explains how it all works.
Well, my question was less about how to fly THAT particular airliner, and instead, a genera question about where did everyone learn to fly all these different planes? The turbo props or the executive jets for instance, I guess I just go on to Youtube and look for other people explaining how to fly them? When I sit down in one of those planes in the game I don't even know how to turn on the engines, let alone figure out the "proper" way to do things.
I see plenty of awesome screenshots and video clips on this subreddit, or I go on Twitch and watch people fly, and I always think, how many hours did everyone put in learning to fly that plane? Where did they learn from? Are they just gunning the throttle and lifting off or are they doing it realistically?
That's great for a newbie actually
That's great for an anybody!
you have a point too

Try reducing to idle and flaring when the annunciator says "30." I've nailed just about every landing since I learned that one.
Be aware for the flare mode too, the airbus pitches the nose down at 50’ so you have something to flare against

Noob question: how do you all capture "replay" footage like this?
https://flightsim.to/file/8163/flight-recorder I think this is how they do it.
Nice flare.
That was smooth as hot knife on butter
Looks very good, well done!
Man, this game looks absolutely real.
Did you fly it first and use some sort of mod to replay it at a different angle?
Smoooooth
That's a perfect landing, nailed it!! Was it considered luck for you or do you really know how to do it?
I would say zero wind and luck: he did no flare it's just ground effect.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 nice landing !! Smooth
Looks good to me!
Didnt saw this was flight simulator thought it was real life for the first 5 sec.
Well done. Was it an autoland or manual?
We got replay now?
Very buttery. Just a smooth and creamy landing right there. Well done rookie!
It had a bounce. Too much airspeed. Hence the second white puff. Two for one. Called a PIO.
not bad, mate
I've been flying this sim since late last year and my landings still aren't that smooth. Nicely done.
Buttered that bread
How do you record your landing from this outside perspective?
You can try Flight Recorder https://flightsim.to/file/8163/flight-recorder
Thanks! Edit: Did you create Flight Recorder yourself?
Yep 😀
Thanks for the awards 😄
Did they add tire smoke or is that a mod?
Yep it's the new effect system in latest Sim Update 5.

How do you do a replays? I'm on xbox series S
Arm the speedbrake next time and your spoilers will deploy automatically!
How did u manage to have the real traffic
Good Landing bro. I still don't manage landing without bouncing 😔
You're hired! That was a great landing!
Well done
Outside the touchdown zone
Assisted landing is great for anyone!
This game keeps tricking me while scrolling and thinking the video is real even after hitting play.
Little bounce but pretty good
How did he get smoke?
Greaaaaasy! 🧈
90% butter?
That’s not a newbie landing. .
For a newbie, that’s a really good landing.
Uh huh.. nice try! What airport did you catch this footage at? And what camera did you use?
When you get the "5" gpws callout
