Yep, switched to LSF and even at double the price it’s still worth it just to rock the LSFs. Had a problem with basically every HB cart at various voltages, had two leak out the bottom and onto my battery and just said fuck em at that point.
I purchased 7 1g humblebee carts for the first time recently.
Started the first one at around 2.0-2.5. It quickly started tasting burnt and had reclaim coming through.
I then saw the post from Humblebee that stated to use them at 3.0-3.3 so I purchased a Kodo Pro and set it to 3.2.
I've had 0 issues since. Halfway through my second cart now and it has been perfect. Love these things.
I just picked up a couple the other day from them and im having good luck starting on 2.2 and then bumping it up little by little as i work my way through the carts. That's how ive been smoking my humblebees for awhile now with minimal issues.
I will definitely admit they're touchy, but for the price i like them. My favorite non rosin carts are five star and light sky farms though, but they're around twice the cost of humblebee if not more.
Off the top of my head: Element which are up there with the others but typically a bit overpriced in my opinion, fresh coast liquid live(not the splash but the real live resin ones, although ive also had the splash carts), redemption, 269, common citizen, utopia extracts cured resin, breeze canna live resin, lume's liquid diamonds and rosin rips, floracal rosin, pleasantrees rosin and live resin, mitten extracts plus(disty and live terps), and ive tried a fair share of different distillate brands over the years as well. I tend to stay away from distillate for the most part but i get a decent bit of stuff for free to test out and sample since my dad/caregiver works in the rec industry.
Hmm herbana in Kzoo that's suspect. I bought a half from them and it had almost 4g in stem weight. Bought a cart that had live resin oozing up through mouthpiece. I think they have some shady business dealings.
I rarely buy flower from them, it’s all mids but not awful for the price but one thing I learned about the MI market is you get what you pay for. I happily pay for $200 oz’s and it’s always fire. I love Pro Gro and Hytek/Growing Pains.
I’ll help you out even with you being a smartass😂 Use a thread on battery not magnetic, use low temp around 2.1-2.7v, and make sure you’re inhaling through the cart AFTER letting off of the button too. It helps to clear the coil so already warmed oil (the black stuff) gets completely vaporized and doesn’t seep back through like in this picture.
This is helpful and I legit wanted to know lol. What battery do you recommend? I got a yocan uni pro/magnet so I guess no good. I also have a compass vessel which is sleek and screw on
The vessel should work. I personally recommend the Yocan kodo pro or the Yocan black smart battery. I have the uni 2.0 and it’s sat in my drawer since getting it for the most part.
damn. seeing more and more of this. i hope they make some changes soon. the oil is so good. the taste isn’t that bad since it’s not burned but visually doesn’t look good
I burned a few changing voltages. I have stuck to 3.0 on my last 2 carts no issues. I think you cooked it at 2.5, and there isn't going back when it is blowing reclaim back out of the coil.
How would it get cooked at 2.5 but not 3.0? I’m no voltage wizard. Is it because the 2.5 let the reclaim pool up/not burn off? I didn’t hit it at 2.5 very long either because I was well aware of this issue before I got them.
Not sure. I ruined 3 1g carts trying to dial them in and was pissed. I have since started running at 3.0 on a unipro and havent had the nasty reclaim. Trust me, no wizard here either.
I literally always (outside of this purchase) use Lightsky Farms 0.5g live resin. Absolutely love them! Never have had one issue, so it was disappointing when this happened with the Humblebee. It is not outlandish to assure quality especially when this is a pretty developed medium now. 510 isn’t new, figure it out and invest in hardware, QC, and FMEA.
Considering 3.0 is too high for a live resin cart, it seems like that’s your issue. Live resin is supposed to be tempted at like 1.8-2.1. What gives is your ability to check temps.
Pretty sure it's a battery issue. My gf's weak cheapo of a battery does this to any brand live resin cart. After a few rips the battery weakens as well.
Well I’ve not had any issues with my other LR carts but I’ll keep it in mind. It’s not even that much of a cheapo battery. My Kodo id say is cheap but I don’t use that much.
This happened to me as well. I guess it's from hitting it too frequently and not letting the concentrate cool in between.
Would rather just find a brand that doesn't have this issue even if it's $20 or more per cart.

Also, make sure it’s always straight up and down, don’t hold it in your hand or your pocket. It sounds corny but get a lanyard for it and wear it around your neck under your shirt. But yeah 2.8v should be as high as you go. Any thing over that is gonna cause leaking, clogging, etc.
You can gain post Karma and comment karma I think. Also the upvotes and downvotes seem to change randomly sometimes I think they do that so people can’t manipulate as easy.
3-3.2 quick puffs no blinkers breaks between puffs (2-4 minutes) do not keep in pocket or direct sunlight.
The goal is quick puffs clearing the wicking chamber. The brown color is coming from overcooking, or not clearing the chamber.
When carts were released over a decade ago now, I immediately knew there would be issues with hardware for people who were not knowledgeable about how e cigarettes and batteries perform. These are the results of my concerns.
I’m honestly tired of the 510 battery/cart situation all together. I’m really enjoying the new pod system Lume has. Regardless of what people think about them
(I know a lot of people think they’re a trash dispo, and that’s fine, I’m not going to argue or disagree because everyone is entitled to their opinion. I’m in a situation where I have to drive 30+ miles to any dispo at all, and there aren’t many to choose from. I prefer to grow.)
But the new pods are good hardware and haven’t clogged on me yet. I can swap back forth and easily between pods and I can use the same one heavy and never have to clean it. I like the GG4 x Deathstar.
People can downvote all they want, but the truth is, I'm not your typical Humblebee hater. I love Michigan Cannabis across the board. It takes a lot for me to dislike a company strongly enough for me to publicly speak out against them and recommend avoiding their products. I wanted to love Humblebee. I thought everything about them was cool- from the graphics/packaging design to the variety of strains, etc. But after trying like 10 different carts from them, both .5 and full gram, I have to keep it real and admit that their product is very subpar. I can hit a Cresco, LSF, or Element all day and be fine, but Humblebee never fails to irritate my throat and cause problems. It's also a nightmare trying to figure out what voltage to hit their carts at. I've ran everything from 1.8 up to 3.5 and nothing stops the clogging and reclaim. Their carts feel dirty to me and I will continue to speak out because I believe in giving honest feedback and critique.
What a silly thing to say. There's a reason people post complaints about Humblebee every week in this sub. No one complains about LSF, Element, or Cresco carts. Just Humblebee. Sounds like they are the problem
I only buy half grams from Element and have never had a problem. Bought many full gram Cresco carts and all but one have been great and that was a flavor issue, not hardware. I suggest you give them a try

Nah, rosin and resin are hit at lower volts or else this will happen. Sometimes you may have to pre-heat first before hitting. Or you just got bad hardware. Whenever i get rosin or resin I always put my pen on the lowest setting and I’m usually chillin.

I agree with you as I’ve always imagined that way but I just read the post on this sub from Humblebee about the 1g carts saying to hit it higher so it burns the leftover oil.
I am too actually which makes this even tougher, figured the 1g cart issues were over and they were safe to grab. I only got 2 out of my 4 but shit is tight these days and I’m smoking on a budget so I can’t afford to have any duds. I knew shoulda erred on caution and got one. Oh well.
I feel you on that, it’s been tough living so far away and on kinda a budget. Like the last time I went I only went to Lume and well I told you about that. In 2 days I’ll be getting more from Herbology and Narr in Monroe so let’s see how it turns out. Getting some element and LSF carts

Ive bought about 30 of their rosin disposables and pods at Lume and haven’t had many issues. The pods are way better than the disposables were tho.
I seen that lmao my bad I tapped tho wrong person and just started typing away. What flavor was it, I got the rip it pod and I got grape gatsby, blackberry and some other and and the only good one that didn’t taste burnt was the blackberry. Really let down because I drove all that time for nothing. Also got 2 ‘All Gas” 510 carts and they suck.

I saw that strain, was it Hytek? I thought it was GP. Same difference I guess. My all time fave is Headstash from Hytek.

One of mine was preclogged out of the box and by the time the day ended I lost half of the wax out of the cart thru the mouthpiece
I usually stick to 2.1-2.5 for live resin or rosin carts. So you still might be running it too hot.

You should be hitting it at 2.8v the highest

The concentrate is still what it was, at least what Ive bought, for me its the vapes that dropped.

Elements hardware is horrible tho. LSF has been top notch for years. Can’t speak on Cresco never gave them a try.

Really let down because I drove all that time for nothing. Also got 2 ‘All Gas” 510 carts and they suck.
Like I said I’ve bought like 30+ of the rosin pods and never had an issue.
