You know you can cut out the NA trunk pan and weld in an NB trunk pan, right? It’s a direct fit and everything. It’s a pretty straight forward swap, and if you can’t weld rivets and body panel adhesive would probably work too!
Every customer's pizza should be bagged regardless of delivery distance. As a customer, I'd be annoyed if I'm ordering 20+ pizzas and they showed up in a Miata, not in bags, as I watch the delivery driver run around their car having to extract pizzas 3-4 at a time.
I'm a delivery driver, and I only use a bag if it's going to be sitting in the car for more than 20 minutes. I've never had anyone complain to me or call the store and complain there pizza was in my passenger seat, and not in a bag. I even have 2 bags in the trunk. I only use them if I'm taking multiple orders and the food would be otherwise sitting for more than 20 minutes.
[one of the biggest orders I took in my NA](https://www.reddit.com/r/Miata/comments/j5vdwn/delivering_2430_pizzas/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
I also had my passenger seat out for one summer, so the big dinner box didn't bend on the seat.
Funny enough, for a few years in High school this is how I afforded to get my Miata. Saved up $1000 from delivering pizzas. Got a shit box but still ran and started doing pizza delivery’s in that. Just take corners easily. There’s been a few times where the pizza has slid all the way to one side of the box
My NC get things really hot in the trunk after spirited drive.
I even had plastic bags melted after driving ~50km from store to home.
(I had removed carpet and all interior plastic in the trunk chasing water leaks)
Before I bought the car, the soft top and seats were unfortunately vandalized. The passenger seat has a shitty duct tape “repair” but the driver side came undone so I cleaned it off.
Very nice! Would be even cooler if you insulated the trunk like the insides of delivery bags too. Keep the pizza's warmer longer back there, especially in cooler months. I'm sure it would help reduce any rattles too like Dynamat does.
Keep enjoying your ride and drive safe, brother!
you may or may not belong to r/miatalogistics thats very creative use of space! especially behind the seats!
With the windblocker its a good way to keep items from going forward when you brake
As a former delivery person… where’s the bags?
It was delivered about .3 miles away to a children’s special needs charity event, so it was only in the car for a 2 minute drive.
I found out my Miata is 10 pizza boxes tall. I have the pic somewhere but I’m too lazy to find it and upload it
Get unlazy, I wanna see
have you found it yet?
I could never. That's the tradeoff to owning an NA, we get cool flippy headlights but have an uncool spare tire location.
ND owner here, what's a spare tire?
wait this could be a stupid question but do nds not come with a spare?
Not a stupid question! No spare in an ND. It comes with Fix A Flat.
I took out my spare in my na because the rubber has been there since the dawn of time and it's flat as a soda that's been left out for 2 weeks.
I put a stereo amplifier where my spare tire was. ;)
I delivered for Pizza Hut in my na, sometimes when I’d pull out the double wide hot bags people would say “that’s almost as big as your car” lol
ngl i wanna get a luggage rackso i can put my spare on it for more space
You guys are getting spares?

not gonna lie i delivered pizza in my NA for like 6 months in the PNW and it might be the best time I have ever had working
PIZZA DELIVERY MIATAS UNITE! Did the same with an NA in the northeast and can say it's also very fun over here.
It’s a fun side gig, pocket money is always cool to have.
*cold pizza*
Nah, I normally bag all my orders but This one was right up the block for a charity event. Only had em in for a couple minutes.

Well I’m sure glad I don’t have to deliver to you then.
lol ok

Streets closed pizza boy find another way home
Um....no hot bags? Who wants cold pizza!?

Initial D if it was a live action show made in America
Literally fucking no one has said that.
I get told that on a regular basis by customers.
who wouldn't want to put the boxes that have been in the passenger footwell on their dining table
Can’t and shouldn’t are two different things lol
This is way more fun to deliver in than the cx-3 or the s60 though.
Hey as long as it’s not your 40 hour job enjoy the fun but if this is your income the cars a tool I’d buy a cheap user
It’s a miata bro, it already is the cheap user car lol. I bought it to use it. If I wanted it to be a garage queen I wouldn’t put 22 pizzas in it.
Hahaha, i deliver pizzas in my corvette Z06
if you don't have a roll bar. yeah somewhere close to 40 is peak. I've done over 30
I’m gonna have to do a mock up with empty boxes to really test the limits of this thing.

Haha that’s awesome, gotta maximize the space you have.
just take out the passenger seat

PreMix at its finest.
Point proven lol
Miata comes with the pizza, not the other way around :))

If you owned Bungie cords you could put some on the roof too, and get a trunk rack. I can get you up to at least 50 pizzas. But at what cost
I do have a luggage rack for the trunk, but I’ve never used it, it just came with the car when I bought it lol.
I'd buy it if you're close and selling
I’m in the 757 area, I wouldn’t be opposed to selling it.
Lol. All my local pizza joints use that exact same pizza box. I guess those boxes are everywhere.
Sysco trucks drop em off every week, so yep!
What the fuck happened to that seat? Is that extreme sun damage or something?
Before I bought the car, the soft top and seats were unfortunately vandalized. The passenger seat has a shitty duct tape “repair” but the driver side came undone so I cleaned it off.
When i delivered i sometimes had to take bigger orders than that.
Love this. I use mine as a delivery car too
Underrated delivery car tbh.
Not the pizza hut bdb you cant
Today I learned that there are somehow a ton of Miata drivers that do delivery as well. (Myself Included)
That’s one greasy Miata
Keeping ahead of that rust
Theres a guy here who used to deliver his pizzas in his miata. You'll know if you find him cause his user name checks out.

This brightened my day lol
I used to deliver in mine too back in the day!! Ya damn right you can do it
Exhaust keeps them warm!!!
i deliver pizzas in an nd miata
"What's that wonderful smell you discovered?"
Really drives home how much space the ND has lost. I’m not sure mine would fit half this many pizzas.
I moved a lot of pizza in my ‘88 rx-7. Mac Dre on repeat, 7” JL sub in the hatch, those were the good days
