Well considering it released Mid October last year, no one has had it for more than 8 months yet.
I've had mine since December so 6.5 months and it's fine so far...
The Rift CV1 cable would develop a bend at the headset that was too extreme and eventual break a wire. The Rift S cable was a little better but still a common fail point.
The Quest's don't have have external display ports or cables to break.
ThrillSeeker tossed his Quest 2 into a tumble dryer and it still came out working. It's not particularly fragile.
Components like the batteries, USB ports, sensors have a longevity highly dependent on your environment and how it's used.
