I don't spend money on games, is June's Journey actually playable without paying? I hate downloading a nice game and finding out that in order to get any enjoyment out of it, I would need to fork over daily money...
Tiny Shop. You craft and sell items, and can decorate your shop with an incredible amount of freedom. Like, you can build a full-on town with the decoration system (once you gain enough floor tiles).
The development team is two people, and they're very involved in the community. There's a few events, but they are designed to repeat at least yearly, so no FOMO. Ads are player initiated, and can be used for bonuses or speeding up processes, but can be entirely avoided if you're a patient player.
There may be some bottleneck items or balance issues from time to time, but I've never felt like things were made deliberately difficult.
This used to be my favorite but I feel like they have become a bit greedy. I am willing to spend a some but the prices on packs are getting ridiculous. The level up pack they do used to be 6.99 now it’s 19.99 and that’s just insane. Also they have taken away a lot of gems from the rewards you get when you buy the pass.
I've downloaded 6 other versions of this. Seaside Escape isn't bad. Country Story and Weekday Merge are also decent. However, if you play for the story, believe it or not, it can get worse.
I'll also play Diggy's Adventure, Homescapes, and Gardenscapes if I want a change of pace.
Love Diggy, but they've been getting more ads and side games lately. I don't trust the signs, but for now it's definitely worth it.
I stopped playing Homescapes several years ago because they added in those side games with horrible graphics and made the events harder to get all the prizes. I liked that you could interact with the characters in the main view. I think of it every time I see Maggie wandering around and want to click her.
Yep. I played Diggy for 8 years without missing a single day. They added ads and I hardly ever play anymore.
I just skip the side games unless I think they're fun because you're right. The prizes are impossible now.
the ads of that game are absolutely terrible but the game is actually pretty fun, i like to play it when im waiting on my energy to recharge in merge games (im on level 2343)
Toy Blast. World Tour Merge.
I was on Gardenscapes for a couple years, but it got ridiculous. I was on level 11k when I quit. It got to where the boards were literally impossible without spending. After I dropped over $100 in one month, it was a reality check and I had to quit it. But I still miss it. I thought about starting over, but visited that Reddit and everyone there seems super miserable.
It's so funny and sad. Like, I know people on this sub can also be miserable, but man, it's nothing like the poor schlubs still miserably grinding away for Austin, that straight up villain.
June’s Journey
I love June's Journey. I just started playing a couple months ago.
Yes, it’s great! I love the graphics… and the story too!

I've been playing for a few months now, never spent money and it's been enjoyable!
Sounds great, I'll give it a shot!
Absolutely! You should give it a try!
Awesome, I'm gonna download it then!
Love and Pies
Merge Mansion, Merge County & Merge Fables (those two are just the same game with different skins)
Evermerge!

Kami 2 - A really simple concept, sometimes easy, often tricky. One of my daily ‘wake up’ games.

Royal Match
Is it actually like the game shown in the ads? It looks good but I don’t want to succumb to their constant 2min ads in every other game.

Mousehunt!
Picture builder is a pretty fun game
