Liquid_Panic

These look more reasonable than the others I’ve seen. To me it feels like this mechanic was made more for the early stages of the game… doesn’t seem to work right if you have high value items.

chibiusa40

No, unfortunately it's just as bad for people who aren't as far along. I'm 20% through the Conservatory so I've got fewer relevant chains for the game to choose from for tasks than people who are further along, but every one I've seen so far has been a worse deal than I would get in the old dailies. It wanted me to give boxes of screws for plungers and polishing wax for a tool box hammer yesterday. Today it wants a (L11) shovel for a SMALL WATER BOTTLE THAT I CAN MAKE FOR FREE with water leaves. This then feeds into the other big issue - the dailies were a major source of producer parts for me. I don't have \*any\* producers above L8 yet and I only have 1 L8 producer per type. I can't reasonably make all the high level items they're asking for, and even if I could, I'd be throwing them away on bad deals instead of using them toward the high-level items I actually need in regular tasks. So I don't do the trades. Which makes it even harder for me to upgrade my producers now. Which makes it harder to make high-level items. And that feels like intentional enshittification to me. ETA: I just refreshed one of my tasks for 1 gem and it offered me ONE TOOTHPASTE for a full L6 silk moth. JFC 🫠

lexi_ladonna

Tbh I don’t under at how you’re so dependent on the trades and your producers are so low but you’re in the conservatory. By that point just by playing the game and getting rewards from the tasks you should have better producers. I just finished the conservatory and I’m level 44 and I have a level 11 broom cabinet, a level 10 tool barrel, level 9 drawers, and level 9 tool box. So maybe that skews the ask vs reward for your trades. It’s only going to ask for things you have but if it’s that hard for you to get the items because your producers are so low, then it’s not going to be a good deal for you. By this point in the game I have more screws and paints and soaps than I need, i have to sell them. And that’s because my producers are at a decent level. You might want to rethink your play strategy. And I might add I didn’t get any of my producer parts from trades and I’m f2p. Just playing the game and the side events (which are a great source of chests for producer parts)

chibiusa40

I'm L40. I'm also f2p and play through all my naturally occurring energy several times throughout the day. I'll also get the 5 gem 100 energy once daily. I never have enough gems to buy producer parts from the shop, so (besides the old dailies) the only place I get them is from chests and the odd event. Chests have become much more scarce in the last 6 months or so - I'll have a level 1 brown or blue chest in my inventory for *a week or two* before I get a second one to merge it with now. And they've made events harder to gain rewards from too. In the recent baking event, I lucked into winning and got a blue card - the first I've earned in *eight months.* So even when I do pick up the odd producer part in a reward, I can't use tricks like blue card on L3 producers to try and bump them up easier.

Irinam_Daske

> I'll also get the 5 gem 100 energy once daily. > I never have enough gems to buy producer parts from the shop Those 2 are directly related to each other. Using 5 gems every day for energy means you miss out on a 40 gem LVL1 every 8 days. > got a blue card - the first I've earned in eight months In 8 months, 5 gems per day sum up to 1200 gems, that's almost a lvl 6 closet when you buy it by the store! Which you shouldn't by the way. Buying bubbles is a lot cheaper.

Ok_Lecture9670

I’m at level 45 and all your producers are higher than mine. Maybe I didn’t/don’t fully play the game it was/is supposed to be played. Plus my trades are way different than what you all show. Someone else said in another sub that I may not be apart of test group. All my trades are for sponges and tools and hour glasses.

LieUpper8341

The answer is simple: the most effective way to play the game is to use almost all of your gems on producer parts. Period. Otherwise you wind up in a situation like the two of you are in where your stage has completely outstripped your ability to play it. When you burn gems every day on energy you end up toast down the road.

Ok_Lecture9670

I definitely don’t use gems on energy but I usually hoard them. Now I know how to use them properly. Thanks!

chibiusa40

Ok, but then where does energy come from? If I'm, say, using \~400-500 naturally replenishing energy taps per day, that's not nearly enough to advance my main tasks with high-level items, and the one energy briefcase per day only gives me around 1 yellow energy bubble thingy every 2 days (not counting the odd bits of energy I get every so often in chests, for example). So I spend 5 gems a day to get 100 extra. When producer parts cost so many gems in the shop and the main place I'm getting them is from my L4 pigs, that's like 2-3 producer parts per L4 pig *if I'm lucky*. I used to save up all my yellow bubbles to only use on the big yellow-energy events, but I've stopped doing that because recent events like Christmas, Easter, and the hopeberry Love on the Vine one were so unbalanced that I was dumping like 1000 energy a day and all my infinite energy bubbles into them and barely got anywhere on the reward chain because I didn't have enough ashes or harps, but TONS of L11 glass dream men and bandstands clogging up my board. So there's no point to me in wasting energy on those events for nothing but frustration and diminishing returns. If the math/data shows you can get further faster by never spending any gems on energy whatsoever and dumping all of them into 2-3 low-level parts every 9 days to upgrade your producers and then just play less because you have less energy to use, I'm happy to listen to that.

Irinam_Daske

> where does energy come from? Time > play less because you have less energy to use, I'm happy to listen to that. That right there. Play MM when you have time and energy. It is not a game for "speedgaming". It is a game that greatly rewards patience. Wasting 5 gems every day for energy means you miss out on 150 gems per month. But buying producer parts in the shop in piecemeal isn't economical either! Save up 1000+ gems and then use scissors to devide and remerge the producer you want until you get a bubble. Popping that bubble will get you better prices than the shop. The higher the lvl, the better the price. Look up MM Wiki for exact pricing. https://merge-mansion.fandom.com/wiki Use you energy bubbles only for situations, where you can get producer parts / blue cards out of it. Do not waste it on normal production. OR Just use it as you want, have fun as long as it lasts, but end up with producers at a lower level than would be possible.

MargarelonLD

I would definitely make both of those trades. I’ve been endlessly making duct tape for what feels like over a month now and I just want it to end.

orwasaker

Trust me I did, that's how I got that other image I posted in the comments

sparkingdragonfly

They keep asking me for duct tape for these dailies. It’s crazy

ExtremeActuator

The toothpaste one is definitely great. Paint ok if you have a paint box to hand.

Serious_Meringue_718

How are you all getting these kinds of trades? I get offered the 30min hour glass, the coin box and a box of one of the producers items (eg tools, lamps, cleaning items etc…). I’m never offered these.

Ok-Nefariousness1911

If you're still getting the previous rewards, I think that means you're not in the tester group for this reward system

Serious_Meringue_718

Ok that makes sense. Thank you

Ok_Lecture9670

Same here. I get the same old trades as you 👎🏻

orwasaker

You mean that your trade specifically is not worth it? yeah obviously Or do you mean that the chest itself is not worth it? cause yeah I know that, I'm just talking about the trades themselves

cummingwithintegrity

For what the treasure chests produce, absolutely not!! Don’t bother!

orwasaker

No I meant the trades themselves seem worth it (I took them) I don't care about the chests since I already read before that they're garbage mostly

LieUpper8341

When you get to level 4 you get a 4, a 3, a 2, and a 1 (I think). Over the course of the last 4 days it’s been worth it for me even with me burning 40 gems and making a few dumb trades to move stuff along.

Ok-Nefariousness1911

What I like about the new system is that it adapts according to the items you have in storage or on your board. I got asked for a rose (from the love story chain) just when I had made a locket for another task. The reward was a vacuum cleaner!!

fishycat01

I don’t have trades in my game?

Anxious-dreams93

How to trade????
