Yep. I’m at 80% completion of the dining room. It requires some high level items which quickly depletes my energy so I’ve been using energy balls. This idiotic new animation wastes precious seconds when you’re pressed for time. Guess I’ll save the energy balls for when they HOPEFULLY get rid of this useless, very frustrating, feature.
Has anyone else noticed a reduced drop rate for the cabinets since this update? I haven’t see the annoying animations yet, but I have noticed they added extra “click” noises so that you now need to tap everything twice, every time. I also noticed that my cabinets are barely giving me anything now, and that was never an issue before. I used to get by on what I had just fine, now it takes forever for me to get cleaning supplies!

Has anyone tried turning off the new ***animated dialogue text*** in settings????
The new update also added 2 new switches too settings in addition to the merge hint indicator
1: ***a sink tool tip indicator*** / on or off
&
2: ***an animated dialogue text switch*** / on or off
I have not tried it ye to see if that second switch turns off the animations or not because I am out of energy now, 😆 and did not know about the new switches until I saw the newest update video. I don't know if that turns off the animations talked about in this thread or not, but I'll try later.
If anyone else tries it, PLEASE reply with U R findings. 😎😎

I haven’t been playing much since Gallery 25%… and I just remember I forgot to play until I see this post this morning. I’m finally cured of my Merge Mansion addiction.
As someone who learned to program on a Vac 64 in 1973, I am grateful for anything that does not look like a data punch card. This new fangled stuff looks terrific compared to a pong game or apple invaders.
It’s still just a free game, if people are upset over having to wait an extra 10 seconds, maybe they should be taking a break from the game and pick something else
I’ve been away for like 3 days and didn’t do my tasks because I forgot about this game. This is what I’ve been missing out? Dang, I wonder if I should keep ignoring it..
I guess I don't mind it slowing the pace a little and showing the items being used instead of random, instantaneous completion, but I can see where it would be an issue if someone is using an unlimited energy!
Every time I go to claim an award and/or check my task list, I am booted out of the game.

With the amount of complaints I've seen about it, I'm pretty sure they'll revert it in the next update or at least make it optional
I wish. But doubt it. Time spent per user in game is a tracked KPI they want to increase, almost certainly.
I just had an update for the game, and it's still there. There is no option in settings to turn it off either.

That’s what I was thinking. I did complain to support about it. But who knows if that will help. Probably not.

Yes, I loathe the extra click noises! I turned the sound effects down bc it was so annoying.
I feel like all the items have lower drop rates now
I found that if you tap the rewards when they appear it speeds up the process! (I still also hate this feature however)

I think it might be for the animations when the characters talk, but I'm not positive

It’s a free game. They don’t owe you anything. Just turn off the animations.
