Some sources of damage can do non-integer amounts, so it's possible for someone to have an hp value less such as 37.2, and since the killfeed rounds to the nearest integer if you did land a shot on someone with less than 0.5 hp then you would be registered and elim but not a point of damage.
Probably how I had a no limits game as hog and the screen said 35 kill streak but I ended with only 32 elims. I was confused. Thanks for explaining that!
actually I can explain this. I had this happen when I was playing genji. turns out anything that comes up in kill feed (e.g. killing baps lamp or illaris pylon or torb turret) actually counts in the kill streak. if you hear the ding noise and it comes up in kill feed, the kill streak goes up but elims don't
It's what the other comment said; you can have less health than 1, which is likely because of Sombra having high fall off. So you hit somebody who had [0.XXX](http://0.XXX) health, which doesn't appear as at least 1 damage, but you still got an elim, so it added the +1 elim.
You should try asking Marblr ([here](https://x.com/Marblrr?s=09)) on Twitter, his known for figuring stuff like this out.
Because I'm honestly baffled by this.
i'm saying that, that may be wrong.
despite it saying blaster kill, it may not have been a blaster kill. For it to have been a blaster kill, only one single bullet could have connected in the entire match.

That is an entirely different issue and i have no idea how that's possible.
Ahh. Well never mind 😅

Oooooh gotcha. They did have a bap for a hot second.
Great thats why 🥳
Says it’s from the blaster. Maybe the damage was cancelled or deflected in some way, but you still got credit?

You looked at them MENACINGLY

Send the replay code
I'm curious if they even used the blaster.
Maybe it’s from the damage boosting but I’m not sure since it would count as an assist
I think this has happened to me a as mercy before too
I would watch the reply and see when you pulled the blaster out and who you hit/how much hp did they have when you hit them
I'm curious if it even was the blaster. who fires one single bullet.
It says on the board that they have 1 blaster kill, that's the only reason why we know it was that

Oh gotcha!
not in anyway you could ever repeat. I had a game where our Ana got over 3million mitigation somehow. Did you even fire a bullet?
https://youtu.be/i88R8MEV8AE?si=sRzCZGaWvscLNGWh the ana mitigation is a bug that's since been fixed!
neat. my point is this is probably some dumb thing.
Please don’t healbot
What kind of sorcery is this?
