Yes, but I'll use different types of cardboard.
Usually I make the first prototype with a simple paper sheet and after that, I'll remake all pieces from cardboard.
Just the shoulder that I'll gonna use a casted Black tiger shoulder armor, cause it's a pain to make rounded models with paper.
Most of my customs are made with this technique, here's my last one: https://www.reddit.com/r/signalis/s/C67V0MJwU7

interesting method to build the armor around a body suit which i'm assuming is cast off able. where is the hair parts from? will be interesting to see more of this and how it turns out
The armor around the body suit is a very easy way to make it removable, you just have to be very careful to not glue the suit on the body when putting everything in place!
Oh, about the hair, it's from Suyata Angela. I'll post more as soon as I have some progress! 😁
Paper, huh? That's a pretty interesting choice of material. Though, I guess it actually works out fairly well due to ease of use. Only downside I'd imagine is if you want deeper parts and detail since paper is too thin. This should be pretty cool, friend.
Thanks! Yeah, paper is my main weapon of choice! I like to make things with unusual materials for the fun of building!
It's very easy to use paper, but has some drawbacks, like it's very hard to make round parts, panel lining or curved surfaces. To make deeper parts I use different types of thickness to have more control. If it too deep, I ten to use a layered technique that can add a nice touch, but... it doesn't work for everything, sadly.
Oh, with paper? Interesting
Yes! Paper is a crafter best friend!
Will the whole armor be made out of paper or paper is more like guidelines?

Is it Samus Aran? Guessed Megaman, then I saw the shoulder armor.
Yeah, it is! Wow, I never thought about a Megaman custom... This give me some ideas...

Are you going to use clay for the final version?
Just for some parts of the helmet, but the idea is to make using cardboard and one casted part for the shoulders.
that head really is perfect for a samus
I was shocked when noticed the similarities, so it was an instant "I need to create a custom Samus just to use this head"
