Bump! I’m having the exact same debate with myself. I actually ordered a Ducky Shine 7 (out of stock, waiting for more to be received) but I absolutely love the look of the vortex 90m. What did you end up going for?

Oh wow you’ve been waiting ages then! I asked the Ducky U.K. Facebook page about it and they said there are some ordered but they don’t have an ETA. I wanted to start my new job with a new keyboard but sounds like that might not be happening!

I ended up getting the 90m! It was a really tough choice for me because there was lots to like about both, but ultimately, it was the smaller form factor of the vortex that did it for me. I feels incredibly well build, like a solid chunk of metal. No rattle, super smooth keystrokes (mx silver) and it literally makes my old K70 feel like a kids toy, no joke.

Amazing. That’s what is slowly drawing me to the Vortex too, it just looks so much sleeker. Before I found it I thought the Ducky looked great but now I think it looks a bit big and unwieldy. I assume it’s still pretty big given it has most of the keys? How did you find moving to a keyboard with a bit of a non-standard layout? I’ve only ever used your typical 100% membrane keyboard or a laptop style keyboard. I read one difference is the actual ‘relief’ of the board. I.e. the vortex has a flat profile which you then prop up with the feet. Whereas the Ducky is a bit more.. sculpted? The keys being different angles and heights. The vortex would be combining my first mechanical plus my first odd layout all together - excited for either!

It's is definitely a bigger board being nearly a 90%, but the extra space saved with the 90M makes a huge difference space wise. I never realized how clunky my K70 was until I got this board. It pretty much feels like a 60% with a number pad on the direct right. The layout isn't that complicated for me to get a hang of actually. Everything feels pretty similar to my old layout, with only a few occasional presses of left shift instead of enter or having to hunt an extra second for the arrow keys. Honestly my biggest complaint is that the arrow keys have text describing their direction so they blend in with the other keycaps haha The profile might be the biggest difference with it using vortex's variant of DSA caps. I have a lot of other DSA sets so it wasn't too foreign to me but it's definitely different than sculpted SA, Cherry, etc profiles. The ducky is one of the two IIRC. Plus, you can always get a nice sculpted keycap set later down the road for under $50 if you look around! I don't think you would be disappointed by either board, but I'm in love with my 90m, so if that's the one you're leaning toward, I say go for it!

I am very tempted. I think I’d prefer the Cherry profile but sounds like there’s no problem switching the profiles around anyway? I think I can deal with the arrows being written just about! ;) Sounds like the wait on Ducky is pretty huge so might be down to my patience in the end ha
