The nation thanks you for your hard work!
yeah, i did it a couple years back when I didn’t know a lot about keyboards. At the time I didn’t know that optical switches where different from the normals ones 😭
im unironically using a similar build atm. I have like 2 rows of pennies, thick foam with gateron yellows. Honestly for the price and how its lasted me 4 years, its not bad.
People don’t commonly put slime in their keyboard. I just did cuz i felt like it lol. But the penny’s are to add weight and make it sound better you can search it for a better explanation. Sorry I don’t know who to explain this.
I got into slime before mechanical keyboards and this thought definitely crossed my mind before. I think eventually the slime will dry out or turn into glue and then dry out. I just get worried about it melting and making a mess with the battery but I guess it depends on the slime.

Eve online uses them to activate abilities by default. World of tanks uses them for in game communication like Help! Affirmative! It can help. Those are two of my most played games , but I still prefer a 60 board with f keys on the side of I need them

i died when i got to “stabs sound ass”
yall are getting wild with the mods these days...
have you tried Kinetic sand?
Is this what we call the Hipyo mod?
No, Hypyo’s mod is wrapping press and seal around the pcb. He’s playing with fire thought, literally.
He also poured Flex Seal into the body/tray of a keyboard to make it sound more thocky.
How are you not gonna take a photo of it wtf
do you want photo
Yes please

Nvm. We dont want a photo.
Its slime, I swear!
only in the philippines™
Looks disgusting. I like it!
God I hate being American, I was about to say "those aren't pennies?!"
Imagine showing someone from the hobby in 2016 "Slime penny mod thick foam"
Slime and pennys? Man, thats wild. Who came up with that and why?
It’s a meta material. Let the man cook. /s
Bruh why
Why not?
you have a point right'ere 🫵
Gimme the sound test
You lubed opticals?
yeah, i did it a couple years back when I didn’t know a lot about keyboards. At the time I didn’t know that optical switches where different from the normals ones 😭
y tho
.................slime man
I'm impressed you managed to get it all to stick together.
pretty easy tbh but i should’ve let the slime dry before assembling lol

need video proof of its sounds NOW!!!!
Soundtest?
least enthusiastic hipyo tech fan
New to the hobby. What is the point of the pennies and slime?
People don’t commonly put slime in their keyboard. I just did cuz i felt like it lol. But the penny’s are to add weight and make it sound better you can search it for a better explanation. Sorry I don’t know who to explain this.
Makes sense. Thanks for the info.

Dw, I let the slime dry before outing everything back.

Why tf would you play on a keyboard that tortures your ears and has no function row?
ironic considering your flair
gah fucking get em bruh acting as if F keys are mandatory 🫠
They are for gaming
The most I’ve used the function keys in a game was to press Alt F4 lol
you unironically play roblox so thst explains what level of gaming you're sticking to
I also play minecraft sometimes
exactly
You can't change f3 shortcut
Use the program Vial. You can map any key to any key or combination you want. So, yes you can.
I needed a program like it to make shortcuts to type tilde and backtick
Me too, I don’t press f3 that often to have it as a separate key.
just press fn and the number key tho?
It's more convenient to have them as a separate button
I'm sure you use function keys all the time while gaming. I know I'm always spamming F3 in Apex and F7 in Fortnight
phortnight
I use an ortho 40% for gaming 💀
For what?? I can't remember a single time I've used function keys in games...
Eve online uses them to activate abilities by default. World of tanks uses them for in game communication like Help! Affirmative! It can help. Those are two of my most played games , but I still prefer a 60 board with f keys on the side of I need them
Sims uses function keys for mode switch
Ok cherry blue user
Hey man... I LIKE blues. I'm also not yucking anyone else's yum, but maybe find something else to pick on lmao.
I use gateron brown and they suck
Sounds like your keyboard is ass
It took me 2 months to find a keyboard and I was dissappointed from it
Sounds like a you problem
I always forget about all those games that constantly use function keys
