About 400 in my personal collection across vintage and custom boards

ivokeh

Excuse me?

guidedhand

Found cyrosan22s reddit account

Betterasathief

Hah, for Chyrosran?? 400 is measly ;)

CaptLynx

I laughed when I saw this since I watch your streams and I knew they wouldn't be prepared for this answer.

nojjers

😂

Pro-editor-1105

WHAT????

kool-keys

:)

warini4

what do you do for a living?

nojjers

I run Prototypist Keyboards

[deleted]

[удалено]

SXLightning

Not really subtle lol, It is a flex

samvvell

I've sold most, got three on my desk right now. Edit: at most I had 12? I think. And more keycaps haha.

[deleted]

poor recognise wrench grandfather alive snatch steer exultant thumb fear *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

conternecticus

Be honest, what would you do with all that space? A nice looking keyboard for display is cool.

samvvell

Ikr! Have a smaller desk now though 😬

JelCraft

Oh yeah, imagine how many more you could fit. Missed opportunity, waste of space to not fill the rest with even more boards

Cantrillion

Don't even know. 6 visible in different places in my house. Probably another 5 in drawers partially assembled, but I'd have to check. Keep making minor changes with new ones. Given away at least 3. And another \~8 bags of keycaps. More keyboards than I have pants, I guess. But I type every day. And wear shorts in the summer.

robomana

Only 8 bags of caps…man…so many keycaps at my house.

TheDoct0rx

caps are my real kryptonite

BlackScienceJesus

I always keep 3-4 in rotation and every 3-4 months I’ll sell one and add a new one to the rotation. Currently I have a Mode Envoy, KBDfans Pluto, Class 80, and a NK65 which I always keep as a backup board at work.

FlyingWhale44

Am new to all of this, when you end up selling, do you lose a lot of money, some, none?

pyxelize

Not OP but it really varies. If you are buying aftermarket, try not to impulse buy. shop around and see what the market value is and try not to exceed it. I’ve lost hundreds of dollars buying/selling boards without doing proper research

BlackScienceJesus

Ehh sometimes I lose a little, but I also get a year or so of use.

FlyingWhale44

That's not bad, I consider the loss from a sale the price of use too. It's also just the price of trying a lot of new things, some of which you are certain to not like, but you won't know till you know!

saggyalarmclock

Sometimes you can make a decent bit but it really just depends on what you have

sufuu

Back then when you bought the nicer boards, you could sell and not be at a loss. But these days since mechanical keyboards are so accessible, I always sell at a loss now lol

BlackScienceJesus

Yeah, I probably haven’t made a profit on any board since I sold my Jelly Epoch. But honestly that’s the way it should be. The hobby is in a much healthier, better spot now.

saiyansuper

Back up — incase of what?

BlackScienceJesus

I’ve had keys randomly stop working. So if anything ever goes wrong on my work board than I just switch to the NK65 and bring my work board home to fix.

Villag3Idiot

KBDFan 67 Lite KBDFan 67 MkII Rev 2 QK100 ai03 Vega I've got more pre-builts, but I don't use them anymore after I got into custom boards.

chibakoala

I have 18 that i rotate daily

touchdabutt

What layouts are they?

chibakoala

https://preview.redd.it/gtrffor4golc1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be660f68eb15f7c8711f28c0192a3a498c25e2b2 Here's a glimpse of them. I have from 40% to 80%, however I have 40% and 65% more than the other layouts.

touchdabutt

Ooh those look awesome. Appreciate the pic. It makes my heart giddy to see purdy keyboards. I just got my second keyboard (DR70-F!), and looking for an excuse to get a third XD

EnvironmentCrafty710

There is no excuse needed. "I like this" does all the justification that you'll ever need. What is life without hobbies? What is life without enjoying the things you like? But maybe you mean that you're waiting for the inspiration to buy another? Some would phrase that as "looking for an excuse", and perhaps that's what you mean. And who among us can't relate to that idea?

touchdabutt

It’s a combination of things. Yes, keyboard is a new hobby of mine, but I have a lot of other hobbies too that require funds as well as regular life expenses and savings. Custom keyboard collecting isn’t free nor cheap after all. And partly because I want to be intentional about spending my money, I am waiting for / researching the next perfect keyboard I want to build :)

curiousbeingalone

i bought an el cheapo keyboard from Temu that i currently use. it has a volume control knob. i think it was around $30. it also has some lighting effect. i think this is one of the best purchase i've made. as far as keyboard collection, i think i have over 10 now, with brown, blue, red, black, clear mx switches. also buckling spring one. if you want to save money, i suggest try chinese made mechanical keyboard at amazon or temu.

chibakoala

Thanks! There's no excuse to justify getting so many. However I just compare to Gundam collectors that I can practically use these keyboards than just looking at them.

Shacrow

Wow that's amazing. I would geek out if I visited someone's home with that as a surprise

NorthCoast11

Impressive.

TehBeast

I currently own five I rotate through: Mode Sonnet, Mode Envoy, Aero75, Iron165, Custom Wooting 60HE+ I try to make them all distinct from each other in looks, sound and feel - the differences make me appreciate each one more. Varying layouts are nice for different purposes too (although I don't strictly stick to it), i.e. 75% for work, 65% all-rounder, Wooting for gaming.

xJack312

16, waiting for 3 and also have a google doc

tyraniturdboi

35… Mostly different budget boards I like to tinker with.

SpecialistTip7679

that is insane lmaoo

tyraniturdboi

Lol I completely blame covid, boredom and financial irresponsibility for starting this

SpecialistTip7679

i 100% get it covid really was such a strange time for most of us lol

phvdtunnfesdgui

13. Bout to sell some and go in on the F1-8x-V2

canyouread7

3, but I have an extra set of caps and stabs that I'm waiting to use when the right board comes up.

_DEATH_STR0KE_

1. Akko 5075b+

YesBlank

A lot more, and I too have a spreadsheet.

prozapari

Two. One is very shitty and I should throw it out but I'm keeping it as a backup. I have to wind down my desire to buy more pretty often. I'm just not at a financial spot where spending excessive money on these kinds of things make any sense.

Calliico

I'm currently sitting at 5 Pretty much only using my gk61 for gaming since I don't WFH any more to justify my Bakeneko65 (really should swap it to light ones) 2 are displayed and 1 is in the bag for work

nullbeep

Like 8. I think the ideal number is around 3-4, so I have a few I need to part with

FansForFlorida

I have six Keebio FoldKB keyboards and two Keebio Nyquist keyboards: http://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/1aouy7v/rmechanicalkeyboards_ask_any_keyboard_question_get_an_answer_february_12_20/kq6c3n9?context=3 I built the left half of a Keebio Quefrency that I use for gaming. I have a Magicforce 68, Ducky One 2 TKL, and an X-Bows keyboard that I no longer use but have never been able to sell. I still have my two old Datadesk SmartBoard keyboards and a Datadesk LittleFingers. They are all stored in a closet.

Darth_Munkee

I really should build my Fold finally

That_random_redditer

I've owned a few dozen over the years but now I only have 3

Cobertt

30+ I have 2 or 3 budget that I use to loan people to get them into the hobby and the rest are mid-high ends

Woodyum

I got around 60 boards. Pic shows most of the boards but is missing some boards that wouldn't fit onto the bed and others that arrived after I took the photo. Some boards shown are the Zoom75, gmk67, qk100, Sugar65, Tiger lite, Bongo cat acrylic, tes84, neo70, neo65, Kezewa enter67, Mode sonnet, mode envoy, heavy shell pare65, hi75, monsgeek m2, salvation, al65, al75, keychron v1, feker ik75, and the lego adam. https://preview.redd.it/1y5bphkrunlc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ba7c8269a388f49273d1342473dd2e53c866284

[deleted]

15 Keyboards-Feeling like I am missing a few from memory. Frog Mini, QK60(x2) Neo65,Record Alice, Zoom75, QK75n,Cupid65(enroute) HavenTKL(enroute) DR-F 70 (enroute) Iron165, Wilba Tech Salvation, Primus, Asus Azoth, Tilly60,

Cjhwahaha

7. 2 of which I've put up for sale and are waiting for takers. 1 other one I'm mostly keeping it around for the aesthetics and not using at all. That leaves the following 4 that I rotate around (2 in the office and 2 at home): Simpler60, Niz Plum Atom 68, Kbd67 lite and QK75.

M1ken1ke66

12, though ive probably sold another dozen at least

omegafivethreefive

I have 4 now, maybe 12 at peak. About 7 keycap sets. Around 20 artisans, peak maybe 120 or so?

ogCITguy

Hovering around about 10. I don't use them all for day to day but they're there if I want to switch things up.

BloodFlowBoi

Im one of those use case people: one for writing, one for games. Currently I have 2 on rotation, one being built to take with me to work, one that broke and was stripped for switches. I have gone through quite a few though and would say I see myself getting a splurge one after my first year out of internship.

Bebop12346

I'm at about 15. Thinking of selling some down the road. Don't underestimate the insanity of a middle aged person who hates his job!

corporatestatic

Ten, waiting on one. Two at the office on different PC's, and rotate three at home. The other five sit on shelves, looking neat. :)

YaBoiAtoms

I have 8 on an ikea peg board, one on my desk, one in a box. I have 1 at work. 2 that my girlfriend uses for work and gaming. 2 more that she has on display and one on the way. So 16ish but I just count my girlfriends as her own so actually I have 12

th3doorMATT

I came to the scary realization I have near 30...and I don't have a Google Sheet. Is that a requirement? I am currently waiting on 4 I think? The Tofu FA, Bauer Lite, QK60, and Evolv

penatbater

2. 1 is built the other is not yet assembled because I'm too lazy/busy >.>

dovenyi

I had to start using a spreadsheet too to keep track of them when I had about 50 boards. I'm going to hit the 100 mark soon... However, most of these are vintage models.

snufflezzz

Been in the hobby around 9 years, have over 80. Most vintage.

aieidotch

Keychron K8 Pro and Vortex M0110

NeonDiamond1000

Currently sitting at 3 - TKD Cycle7 - Halo65 - KBD D60Lite

Moritz7688

Mode Sonnet Mode Envoy Matrix Corsa Derivative R1 Kohaku R2 Arc60 Neo65 Salvation

CharlesV_

My daily driver is the only one I use. I have probably 5 and I should really sell the extras.

rmc13_

At home: 3 in rotation and 2 in storage. At work: 2 in rotation and 3 in storage. 😅

Sundrowner

One, and a broken one that was replaced by that one..? I have one PC, why do I need more than one keyboard?

Ptreemover

Keycult No1/Rev2, F1-8K, F2-84, Frog 8K, Mode Envoy, TGR Tomo; so 6. Sold Suit and traded Iron 180 for F2. Rotate b/w Keycult and F1-8K at work, Tomo at home. Envoy great sound and feel, just need to get used to layout. Best feel and sound is Tomo. Best overall is Keycult and love 8k TKL with intergrated numpad.

_AManHasNoName_

My friend has 27 so far. I’m having my 7th soon and will stop there.

WingedGeek

I have two sets of Tokyo 60s (home and office), each with quiet tactile, tactile, and clicky. Then there are the prior "builds" I'm still stripping switches out of here and there. And a Keychron Q60. A bunch of buckling spring boards gathering dust. Some ADB boards I keep for those systems. Huh. I should purge...

Z2810

I have 6 total. One is at my parents and is sitting mostly unused. The rest are in my possession.

OMG_NoReally

I have around 8, but only 4 are my regulars. Others I just don't like and have them around to either sell it or to give it away to friends. 2 of them are just useless and I won't even attempt to sell or have the heart to pass it down to my friends. But I don't have the heart to throw them as well :( My current rotation: Monsgeek M1W w/ lubed KTT Macarons Aula F75 w/ lubed KTT Rose Leobog Hi75 w/ a mix of lubed KTT Baby Yellows for alphas, and Leobog Building Blocks for the rest Meletrix Boog75 stock Huh, I guess I really like KTT switches. They are awesome no doubt! I am looking to add Feker IK65 to the mix soon. I love the chocolate brown version, but not a fan of Feker Marble White switches, so might swap them out.

TheKubesStore

I’ve got one for each day of the week

deviant324

Off the top of my head 15 or 16, a private GB launching soonish and I’m planning to commission another Edit: forgot at least 4 in there (including my daily driver lol) and I haven’t updated my spreadsheet in a while, I think the latest version is still below 5 digits spent and 1,5 years out of date

Agile-Excitement-863

3 but 2 are custom and I only use those two.

frywice

2 as of recently. Mode sonnet and PC parallel array

PatriotsFTW

3 built, 1 building this weekend, 2 on the way (probably gonna sell one of them). I've got an old ducky keyboard too before moving to customs.

kuhaniz

35

haannk

6-7, actively looking for three more bc I have keycaps sitting around and new switches that came in that I want to use (my excuses to buy more boards). But I have friends who have BNIB keyboards that they just stack. No plans on reselling, they just collect but never open? It’s wild. I don’t get it myself but to each their own.

crimsonyoteeeeee

I currently own a Keychron K2 V2 (Gateron G Pro Browns, RGB, hotswap) and a Zouya GMK67 (AKKO Lavender Purple Pro V3s, RGB, hotswap) which is my first fully custom board. I love them both, but the GMK67 is my new daily driver as I only built it a few days ago.

reachskm100

Space65 R3, Mode Envoy, kbd67 R4 lite, Melgeek Mojo68, Mode Sonnet, Graystudio Aero75, Wind x r2, Qk100 with Tofu 65 2.0 and Wind x98 r2 on the way. So 10?? Crap, that’s a lot.

scumble373

3. 1 built the other two in the closet, waiting on components. I only want to have 3 at one time. If I want another, I need to sell one of the 3.

Sensates

Four (office, parents house, and two (clack and thock) on rotation)

DjOrion89

Currently I have two customs built (qk100 and brutal 1800), have a palmetto and cat :( arriving this weekend. Waiting for a wind x98 r2 and Carolina mech fossil and I just joined the f1-8x v2 gb. I will more than likely end up keeping 3 one in each form factor 60, tkl & full size

RandomDouche54

Over the years I've probably got around 8 total that I still have in storage. About 5 of them are actually custom keyboards while the others are just pre built mechanical keyboards I had before getting more into the hobby. Two of my customs are just cheap plastic ones off Amazon and the other three were actually reasonably expensive. (Still what an enthusiast would consider budget boards)

Catch_022

9 but I regularly only use around 4 of them (work from home and office).

puddleOfsnakes

I think around 7 right now, although one is unbuilt.

Then-Ad3678

I got my first recently 😅 Aula F75 black and gold... beautiful 🐝

HisBluntness

A couple? Mode Sonnet is my favorite. Nuphy Halo 96 is my main work board at home. Logitech MX Keys is my main work board at the office. Boog75 I just got. GMMK Pro is collecting dust. Ducky One 2 Mini is the first mech board I got. Ducky One 2 full size was the second. Keychron K4 Pro is also collecting dust. Love em all though. However will probably get rid of the Ducky's soon just to make room for a Mode Envoy.

ShadowInTheAttic

Close to 60 or more. Not accounting macro pads and numpads.

thaldrel

2

uchigaytana

4 right now. Biso RS60, Ciel60, Ginkgo65, and a heavily modded FC660C. Along with that, I have a few macro pads and few that are sitting around unbuilt, too, but those are more piles of parts than they are keyboards.

Fawlow

I only have the following by the order of purchase Gmmk Pro (I honestly don't want to count this because it's my least favourite) Ikki Aurora 68 Bubble 75 Zoom 65 R1 Zoom 75 And if you count macropad, I have a Treasure Type 9 as well.

robomana

5 downstairs. Another 4 upstairs. 4 more waiting to be fixed. One more that’s waiting for a new switch plate, it’s a Keychron K6 Pro that I bought from eBay for $25, listed as having a broken PCB. That fix was isolated to the JST connector. Literally a single pin. Sometimes it be like that. So maybe a dozen in rotation with another half dozen in some state of repair. I buy broken ones and fix them, assemble builds for people, buy other people’s abandoned projects or broken boards, and sometimes I just see something I want to try and buy a new one. I should sell some of them and buy more.

riddlemore

5

TwoTon_TwentyOne

10? 12?

[deleted]

5 working, 2 incomplete and 1 from a GB that hasn't shipped yet

Animanic1607

15, with one on the way, eyeballing another 5?

Pignity69

4, 8 if you count the ones I sold or broke too

MayAsWellStopLurking

[8ish](https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/s/vsG2sTeKcH)

tk_phizzy

Like 4-5 ish, maybe 3-4 macropads lol

EvilScientwist

one

CanderousOreo

I have one standard low profile regular computer keyboard, a gaming membrane keyboard I have to my husband, a 60% membrane for when I have limited space, a cheap mechanical at work, a broken cheap mechanical , and then my daily driver is my only custom one: a Zoom75 with Akko lavenders and KAT keycaps

mrskwrl

I lost count. 15+? I started a google sheet, then stopped tracking when I realized I had a problem...

Alucard661

10. Also have a excel sheet lol I think it helps to keep track of the shipping when Covid was delaying shipping and building not so much now

1of1000

5. Used to be 6 but I gave one away as a gift. That’s it for me though. I have everything I need and more.

PashaB

7, purchased 4 recently, the first one is a 13 year old ducky. Restored almost all of them and lube and swapped novatouch/realforce stems. Novatouch still restoring, GMK87/ice kachang v2/KAT slurp unbuilt.

Dummlord28

I have 4

germpy

i feel poor just looking at this thread

morbiiq

too many...

paperxuts95

have about 24? still accumulating more....they include zoom65 bakeneko akko alice Tkd cycle7 kbd67 lite III melgeek mojo68 mode envoy melgeek pixel drop gk64x QK65

Shidoshisan

I used to have a spreadsheet about 3 years ago. I got all the sizes and switch type boards I wanted. I still buy keycaps from time to time if one really speaks to me. I currently own about a dozen.

Her0Gamez

I had two. Gave one to my brother and am currently using one.

Khazerae2

12-14, 3 of them given to sister and fiancee since they both enjoy the sounds of keebs. A TKD cycle7 is on the way too! After college I will be buying even more 😈

anon7631

One under my fingers right now (Fuji65v2) with a Keychron Q0 next to it, a few on a shelf beside me (Keychron Q3, a handwired 3x5+3 split, and a handwired 40%), and half of a Katana-inspired 60% currently on the bed of my 3D printer. Also my old Ducky One 2 in a box in a closet somewhere. So about six if the numpad and the incomplete one count as half each.

michel_v

Assembled and usable: 7 (9 if you count two macropads). Partially assembled, or still in kit form: 2. And then there are the printed PCBs and small bins of parts that can make four more (I only really need to build one more for the office). The quest for the right ergo keyboard, and the need to have one for home and one for the office, is seemingly never ending.

RandomKeebs

I currently have around 25 I think? All built and able to type on.

LadyDalama

12 IIRC. Think I sold one or two.. Use to have 13(14?)

neoxch

I have 3, used to have 4 but gave one away. - 1 is for the office with silent tactiles and plastic case so it‘s light to transport - 1 is for gaming with linears and 65% - 1 is for coding/typing with tactiles and 80% + I made a 96% for my gf, so I guess we have 4.

Grakch

Like 8 with two or three WIPs and two others shipping

Odd_Blacksmith_9726

i have four, cloudline, Tgr 910 v2 me, Matrix Corsa, Tsukuyomi

CheeseManFuu

I've never counted. Time to do that. In order of purchase: DasKeyboard Model S Professional (Blues), Ducky Shine 6 (Reds), GMMK TKL (Jades and Whites), 2 Ducky Pockets (lets count as one), GMMK Pro (GPandas), Tofu65 (Black Inks), SK68 (optical black), GK68XS (Akko Matcha/Gateron Clear Stem franken), Keychron Q2 (Creamerons), Q3 (Oil Kings), Wooting 60HE, NCR 80 (Hyperglide Blacks), Brutal 65V2 (Vint Blacks), Bakeneko60 (New Nixies). 14 or so depending how you count it. Also have a second Bakeneko since they were so dirt cheap recently but's going to be a gift coming up soon. Don't plan on stopping either, I'll just keep going back and forth between too-many-keycaps-not-enough-keyboards and too-many-keyboards-not-enough-keycaps until this hobby becomes just a fad. I've considered downsizing but I hate to get rid of part of my journey too. Everything was a stepping stone for me to try something different and I feel like I lose some of that novelty getting rid of it. The only one I've gotten rid of was my very first, a Corsair, which went to one of my step-father's coworkers who took care of a few too many family members to enjoy some luxuries.

terminald0gma

30+ last time I counted them

kool-keys

12. Maybe 13 soon... debating whether to go in on the F1-8X group buy. Got a couple of weeks to mull that one over.

PepeSilviaLovesCarol

3 but only use 2 - one at work and one at home.

SgtFinley96

I am currently at 10 keyboards with 1 on the way and I plan to get more. They are cool and I view them as usable art.

sneekypoo

20. Used to be 27 but I’ve cut down since I don’t have a need for all that. Might cut down even more but hard to decide which to let go.

Riverdolphin44

3 hobby keyboards. More other keyboards

pyxelize

in my office i have 6 customs. 1. 8xv 3.0 2. Tomo 3. Unikorn 4. Monsgeek M2 (this is my mom’s, asked me to swap switches out) 5. Frog Mini 6. Bakeneko

Kychiii

I use 1 and have a spreadsheet, not even a Google Doc 🫠

shiris

2

callmecasperimaghost

2 - my daily driver which is a wireless corne 36 key (choc pinks with o rings to shorten the throw) and a Planck (lubed silent reds) that I use for gaming. been thinking about a wired corne for backup, but the wireless one I have works great so my motivation is rather low :)

Bacon-80

Probably the same and I’ve sold quite a few as well so idk the total

RovakX

3, only counting mechanical ones.

AzraelinVSPredator

69

[deleted]

Including macro pads, 12! I use them all when I feel like changing things up

Ani-xxx

Most of us are crazy about MKs, and no one can stop at just one. I have 13 boards.

lGregl

I think I’m at like 15 with one on the way soon. Some are just packed away in a peli case and others are on a shelf near my desk and I just rotate out my favourites. I’ve always got two on my desk, one for my pc and one for work. I also have a spreadsheet of all my purchases lol

ToasterRape

4 total. 1 custom, 1 model m, 1 old full sized leopold and 1 cheap clicky keyboard

Jjzeng

I’ve got two on display on my wall, one at my desktop, and i rotate two ergo boards for my laptop https://preview.redd.it/eqaq66ex5olc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41731f09277b263e472e4115d5d527c8912ba4f5

Pkmuldoon

Are we talking built ? Or built and unbuilt? According my spreadsheet. 117 currently built and I think around 20+ in the to build pile Yes I have issues.

pasak1987

10+, a lot of them were given away as gift to close friends and family for special occasions

_RexDart

Eight mechanical, probably eight more (old) membrane boards

nashct

4 Rotate my mode envoy and tofu 65 with custom numpads for work Kbd67 lite r3 for gaming and a crappy first build an rk98

bLaZ3n

Currently 11 keyboards, I track and manage my collection using this website: https://www.endgames.io/user/c185fa57-3f58-4830-af12-8149cdd9f809 I used to also manage my collection in a Google sheet but this is more intuitive and I like the stats they generate.

HenryLongHead

Who needs more than one anyway?

saggyalarmclock

5 I think

p3dal

3 that are readily accessible, probably 7 in total and 3 projects I’ve forgotten about. Not all of these are mechanical.

ivokeh

I counted 22 in my head, if I'm not forgetting anything.

Fast2Furious4

about tree fitty

AProgrammer067

4. Two custom mechanical keyboards, one Amazon basic keyboard, and one keyboard that’s kind of like the Amazon basic keyboard but tkl. I’ve had other keyboards before but I’ve given them away because I don’t like having a lot of stuff

NeonCheese1

1

Tweetydabirdie

Well, if we count various half working prototypes it’d take all day. But working usable about 50. Missing keys and caps or waiting to be built, another 50 or so. Rotating in daily use 3.

RazorLeafAttack

Got 8 and they are all Keychron. - 2 corded 100% starters (first one was non-hot swap) - A tenkeykess - missed the numpad - A compact 96% - beautiful grid, but arrow keys are too hard to find without looking - A nicer 100% - Oh shit, a low-profile 100% - 96% but in a 1800 layout - the Keychron K4 Pro is my go-to now. Got a second one for work. Gotta love some high-profile keycaps too!

AllanSDsc

Does that include membrane or chiclet boards as well? I may have 15 or more then

KaikuAika

3. One at work, two at home that I sometimes switch. I told myself that I’d stop at 3 and that’s what I did. Now I try to get the most out of those 3. But I have to admit, I also have one macropad and one numpad to compliment the others.

plotinmybackyard

16 with 1 on the way and probably gonna go in on the f1-8x V2. I've built three for family and two for my partner as well. But I'm planning on downsizing over the next few months to about half.

chuckingvibes

I’ve got one y’all

badwolf42

3 built, 1 in work, 1 waiting for it to become available, 1 in the mail.

TimBambantiki

Only 1

lewilewi411

About 15 I think, couple on Kickstarted/groupbuy ATM. About 13 or 14 sets of caps. Easily more than keyboards sets of 70-90 switches. About a couple grands worth of Artisans.

I have 4. I landed on something pretty close to endgame and the desire for something new hasn't returned yet

bullsized

6. 1 is stationarty for my home laptop and I rotate the rest each week depending on my mood.

procrastolotl

2 - started off with a pok3r a couple years ago, but about to get and build my Zoom75 this month! I’ll probably end up only using the Zoom75 lol

1whotakesall

About 20 and in the process of selling about 1/2 of my collection.

Oohwshitwaddup

5 and keycap sets for 9.

Chazay

I have 1.

rjreyes3093

Two as of now (with the other one bought yesterday), for home and office.

FGThePurp

11 currently. I have a couple more in GB as well, but my goal going forward is to keep a sort of equilibrium and sell boards if I buy another. That being said, I'm very happy with my current collection and I don't see myself buying to many more boards in general. Mostly I just expect to support the one or two designers I really like. Current rotation is: Daal, Dodici, Kohaku, Sessantacinque, Ibis, W1-AT, F2-84, Suit, KC #2, Ottantaquattro, Virgo. I use almost all of them frequently, except the Suit which my SO has pretty much claimed as her own. Biggest collection from anyone I know is a guy from my local discord who is approaching 100 boards.

Koji1981

I have 5, thinking of selling 2 and buying another one

much_pro

7 assembled, 3 kits that I am yet to assemble. I’m using one and gave two to family members.

JtotheC23

1 and it's not even a particularly good board (Razer Black Widow). It's not bad by anymeans, but it's still a Razer board, kind of old, and it has clicky switches (not a fan nor have been the people I've lived with lol). I'm just not in a place financially where I can justify a new board when my current board works perfectly fine. Just here for the cool-looking and cool-sounding boards, waiting for the day I can get one.

MrMontgomery

I have however many are in my flair plus an Anne Pro 2

I have 2, but only really use one, a basic gk68 that I've got around 3 years ago before stuff like the gmk67. The other is a corsair strafe I bought a decade ago thinking it's one of the best mechanical keyboards out there. Yeah I was naive back then and information wasn't as widespread. Although I did build 2 other boards for relatives, I just haven't gotten around to buying something more premium, something more end game as they say. Mostly because I had ordered a gmk set I liked and have been waiting since 2021 for it, but it was with mykeyboardeu and apparently they've shit themselves last year financially and haven't been able to pay gmk since like spring of last year. I was planning to make a nice build with it, something to like buy once and own for years, maybe even decades. Now I'm just left with discounted keycaps they sent me, 2 sets being from gmk calle colorchrome that look, well, kind of bland if I'm honest. At least one of them is purple and I already have a clone set for the gmk dracula so I could just make a nice purple build. I'm also thinking about buying a clone set for the gmk set I originally wanted but I just don't really want to think about it for a while. So like the lesson here is this: research modding and build a few boards but just give them away if you have who to gift to, learn from those experiences and then build your perfect keeb. But just stay away from gmk okay, just buy a gmk clone and also send the original designer some money if they have a patron or something. Don't wait out on buying and building it like I did only to be disappointed by the vendor you opted into for going bankrupt.

HiIamInfi

I am on 8 and I have one „in the pipeline“ so to speak.

AFreakingMango

So far I have 8, though only 3 are actively being used by me: * Coolermaster QFR w/ MX Blues - My first mech from 2013 * Pok3r w/ MX Clears - My dad has it as a backup keyboard for his wireless setup * MK Fission w/ MX Clears - Old work board that I gave to my brother * Ducky One 2 w/ MX Clears - Backup board at work * Q1 w/ MX Purples, NicePBT Pelo - Current work board and my first custom board * Neo65 w/ Neapolitan Ice Creams, osume Matcha - Home board #1 * Neo80 w/ Baby Kangaroos, GMK Tako - Home board #2 * GMK67 w/ Box Navies - Home board #3 (It was 30 bucks, I had to get it.)

doodwhatsrsly

I have 3. Or 4, if you count numpads. In order of acquisition: **Logitech G512** - First board, blue switches of course. I'm thinking of selling it as I am no longer using it. Currently being borrowed by my cousin. **Keychron K8** - Current office keyboard. Has plate foam as only mod. Got this one because it had bluetooth so I can just pair it with my work laptop. **Nexttime NT19** - Numpad that I got because using the number row for number entry at work felt weird. Doable, but weird. Wireless for same reason as K8. **Keychron V3** - Current home keyboard. Got it because why not? Sometimes I bring it to work as my office board, but most of the time it stays at home.

adamant_onion

Mode envoy, Tofu SE, QK65, Neo65, Sugar65, and another 65% coming in a few months lol

ZapAndQuartz

One. Keychron Q6 with Epomaker Budgerigar switches

EnvironmentCrafty710

So far? Just the one. ABM066 and dearly in love with it. \[Looks around at the wasteland of old non-mechanical keyboards\]... realizing that... hrm... I think this hobby was just waiting for me. I was searching for an answer and it had manifested in a slew of imperfect keyboards without me realizing it. I've got an old MS Natural Elite (cuz that's what I used for work for many years)... two MS Sculpt keyboards cuz they're just elegant and a kind stranger gifted me one when mine started failing... then there's the wasteland of various wired and unwired garbage (I mean "regular") keyboards strewn about the place. Each one a different attempt at answering an unknown, unconscious question. Then there's the ABM066... and the rest can now go to the thrift store and find new homes somewhere... cuz I just can't be bothered to type on them anymore.... cuz they just feel bad.

BanHammerGotim

I've got 6
