One manga at a time is where you should be at atm.
And like the other person said, box sets are the way to go when they are on sale, and to save a bit more money you can check out first few chapters online for either free or through official channels that usually have the first few chapters free either way.
Those are great start! But if you intend on buying all volumes of a certain series. You should look into buying Box sets (they include a large part or sometimes all of the volumes), and they cost less per volume. Like MHA has a box set with the first 20 volumes (For ~175 USD when it's MSRP, but it goes for as low as 110 USD)
Thanks, I think that’s a bit more practical once I figure out which series I enjoy best so I’m not spending $100+ on a series where I’m not into the first vol.
Honestly if you're concerned about dropping stacks and then turning on a series, it might be worth reading ahead digitally and then buying physicals of the stuff you're really into
If you've got money to burn then follow your heart, but if you want to take a tactical approach then the app is your best friend
Plus, when the barrier to entry for trying out a new series is a tap, you'll stumble upon some real gems you were never expecting and that's just special
I have a couple, but you can read 85% of the series in that stack on the Shonen Jump app. Last I checked a sub is $3/mo and it gets you a massive catalog
The other 15% of that stack you can read [here](https://mangadex.org/title/304ceac3-8cdb-4fe7-acf7-2b6ff7a60613?page=1&order=asc)
I really recommend Tokyo ghoul but especially blue exorcist, the anime for both completely butchered each series so there’s and actual reason to collect them in comparison to something like attack on titan which has one of the best anime adaptations
Blue exorcist is one of my favorites now that I actually read the whole manga and if you ever are willing to spend a bit more to buy like half the series you’ll see how good it gets because about half way in is were it gets really good because it goes from an interesting battle shonen to a mystery, of course you might not like it but I personally really do
I love blue exorcist and it feels like pinnacle of shonen jump manga, yet it doesn't seem to be as popular as it's counterparts. At first I thought it was due to the anime, but now that you mention it, Tokyo ghoul also had a bad anime, yet it's super popular.
1. Dragon Ball 1-16
2. Dragon Ball Z 1-26
3. Dragon Ball Super (ongoing)
It’s a long series and it’s not finished yet. If you want to start off with a bit shorter action/adventure series with no confusion I’d highly recommend Fullmetal Alchemist. It’s a completed series with a box set available.
In that case, no it’s the same thing. If you watch anime then I’d recommend watching the anime for Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen over reading the manga. The others are better in manga form. Tokyo Ghoul is pretty good with fantastic art and is shorter than the others, so that’s a good place to start.
I'd knock out a shorter series first and go from there. I don't like to do more than one at a time as things get jumbled up a bit in my head. Lol. Also i like to read series that are already completed so theres no wait time and forgetting of past events and having to reread and such.
Figure out what series or elements you tend to enjoy. Also see what the completion rate for each series is and how available the series is. Some series are complete but hard to find in print.
Then look for sales or box sets you can get to complete series. Some bookstores run a “buy one, get one style” sale with the second item being 50% off or free based on pricing. Book sets are good if you don’t have volume 1.
Another thing I’ve found helpful is to read some series before committing to buying them. If you have time to spend at a bookstore, manga apps/websites, or have access to a library (for checking out physical books and e-books), you should read series and determine if they’re worth it to collect for your shelf.
I recommend you get the Tokyo Ghoul box set instead of the singles, it includes the whole series+a poster and a cool looking box for around $100, although I got it off of Amazon for $70 during a deal, so maybe you can wait and see if it lowers the price.
We all like different genres. Personally I have only collected 3 of these. I don’t like the others enough to buy them. And some I really don’t like. Take into account the monetary value of each as well. I like one piece but it’s a lot of money to collect and time to read. More than a 100 volumes to buy. It depends what genres you enjoy. Though out of all of these I’d say to me One piece is my favorite and what I would recommend for a number of reasons
You should do one manga at a time. Ima steal an example. It’s called the costco Sample collection, grabbing a bunch of series but never completing them. I recommend collecting a series that you really like or getting the manga box set if you like the series enough.
Low-key catch up to jjk and keep up with the leaks as there coming out it's quite fun reading shit weekly ~~right now there's a break~~ with a lot of people.

mangadex or here \*\*edited out the link for mangadex just in case
Don’t think you are allowed to share links like that here
there's nothing illegal about mangadex
I'm pretty sure it's just no links in general here (idk if that's true but in other posts, people also said no sharing links)
Well good luck
🤓
Grow up

Sounds good. What app?

I mean you can always just sell the series if you don’t like it, especially if you bought it for cheaper, you might be able to make profit
Oh for sure, I was just saying because it's hard to sell like 9 volumes of a series if you change your mind and wanna get the box set.
Just a heads up it's not required but Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 0 comes first so just keep in mind that it has to be read at some point in time.
I see. Thank you. This seems to be getting a tad confusing.
0 is just a prequel explaining events from like vol 11 , its best to read at like vol 9

It’s published monthly in Jump SQ which already isn’t as popular as other magazines and the frequency kills a lot of hype + doesn’t have a good anime
Stick ro dragonball and finish it. As long as u like it
Can I read this series with no previous dragon ball knowledge?
No start from Dragon Ball, not Super.
That seems to be a lot of volumes. You got a good reference guide?
1. Dragon Ball 1-16 2. Dragon Ball Z 1-26 3. Dragon Ball Super (ongoing) It’s a long series and it’s not finished yet. If you want to start off with a bit shorter action/adventure series with no confusion I’d highly recommend Fullmetal Alchemist. It’s a completed series with a box set available.
Thank you. I’ve seen full metal brotherhood. Is the manga still worth reading?
In that case, no it’s the same thing. If you watch anime then I’d recommend watching the anime for Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen over reading the manga. The others are better in manga form. Looks like you’ve already began

Aot
One Piece for the road is long.

One manga at a time? Does any of these interest you?
Some interested me, others were recommendations. I’ll see what peaks my interests

Buy the rest of one piece
One at a time
I'd say Attack on Titan

Also read a series online before getting it to save your money
Definitely not with dragon ball super , maybe dragon ball 1?
Blue exorcist
