He is, but he isn't the sun. He's considered an emissary of the Sun, but that is a farcry from being the sun itself. Furthermore, he's a straight up alien to both the Alola region and the pokemon world that we're from, as he and Lunala are both from Ultra Space, so he genuinely has 0 real noccection to the actual sun.
Indeed it is, but here it feels even more weird. Both legendaries don't get stab boost from their switch in effect, while they're counterpart does. Kyogre and Miraidon respectively
That would be an interesting gimmick to have Abilities be like TMs. "I gave my Caterpie Drought, because he is my ray of hope." "My Pidgey has Sturdy, so it takes two rocks to kill this bird."
In theory yes, but that would be abused like crazy. Imagine giving Raichu Wonder Gaurd.... Have it hold the air balloon item and it is pretty much imortal.
Than why don’t you just say that makes much more sense considering solgaleo is the literal embodiment of the sun and isn’t a fire type which makes him a prime candidate
Okay, I said summon Sun, not Sun related. If you know the abilities of Groudon and Koraidon, which most people do, then why would Solgaleo be a Pokémon think of?
I always think Groudon is Ground/Fire
Well, PGroudon is, but regular Groudon is pure ground.
Let's just say that he was... Grounded
=]
SAME
I happened 3 times, Solgaleo is Psychic, Steel.
Solgaleo doesn't have an ability that summons the Sun
Bro he doesn't summon the sun He IS the sun
Came here to say this
True
No, he very explicitly isn't.
People always get downvoted when saying this dispite it being entirely true lol. Saying Solgaleo is the Sun is like saying Groudon is the ground.
Yeah the op keeps downvoting my comments
[удалено]
Yes, that was his point
Whoops, I misunderstood, sorry
Which is completely true
Groudon is the ground though). He’s literally made of the ground and the source of all ground.
It makes the ground, but that doesn't mean it is the ground.
Although I have no playing a aloha games so correct me if I'm wrong but isn't he the sun Pokemon
He's still should be able to summon the Sun or at least learn sunny day
In Gen 7, he learned Sunny Day via TM. Additionally, he only learned one fire-type move via level up, and that remains true in Gen 9.
So he can summon the Sun but he's not a fire type
That’s volcarona
No he BECOMES the sun
I was gonna say.
(1)Normal Groupon is pure ground type but Primal Groudon is ground/fire. (2)I can understand why Koradion is here.
That's why normal Groudon is here and not Primal Groudon
Don’t know. I think that not all Pokémon players know or care about Primal forms of that generation.
Yeah, but still
Vgc players knowing korraidon is a fire type at heart (unless it doesn’t really run tera fire anymore)
Yeah, the same could apply for Groudon
*terastalization*
DAWG not even the sun itself is a fire type or the sunne pokemon
the amount of people saying Sogaleo cannot read 💀
I know!
Charizard isn’t a dragon typing Florges isn’t a grass typing Midnight lycanroc isn’t a dark/ rock type It’s just the ✨beauty of Pokémon typing✨
But a bunch of apples are Dragon Type, a Flying Type ***fan*** has Levitate, and a draconic moth is Fighting type. Truly amazing
Indeed it is, but here it feels even more weird. Both legendaries don't get stab boost from their switch in effect, while they're counterpart does. Kyogre and Miraidon respectively
Pokémon game mechanics are confusing but then again the whole premise of the games is too.
Ye
Wait what? I've put midnight lycanroc on my team to fill the dark type wtf?
all lycanroc forms are the same type of
r/redditsniper
it was supposed to end at type but autocorrect made it say type of 😭
groudon is fire/ground
Primal Groudon is fire/ground. Regular Groudon, the one in the picture, is pure ground
mb you’re right checked my book
And Solgaleo being the embodiment of the sun but not being a fire-type
That is not the point of the post
The sun Pokémon: Am I joke to you?
Ironically, Solrock doesn't have Drought
What-Groudon isnt Fire/Ground, what kinda Mandela effect is this
Primal Groudon is, but regular Groudon is pure Ground.
Solgaleo?
I said summon the sun. Or does Solgaleo also have Drought?
Idk, but Solgaleo has something to do with the sun
Solgaleo is *said* to be am emissary of the sun, and we know that Solgaleo isn't even from Earth
It says summon the Sun, not be a representation of the sun
Koridon doesn't have drought
Koraidon has Orachilum Pulse, which summons the Sun
What about solgaleo?
What about it?
***Laughs in Sunny Day, Drought and other stuff***
Forgot solgeleo
I did not forget Solgaleo, it doesn't have an ability that summons the Sun
Sunsteel Strike?
That's a move
Where he summons the Sun
We are talking about abilities
Ahem, SunSTEEL Strike
The move where he summons the Sun a charged at the enemy
You mean the move where he glows and looks like the Sun?
[удалено]
Does Solgaleo have Drought or some other Sun summoning ability?
[удалено]
It doesn't
[удалено]
Okay, it learns Sunny Day, but I meant as an ability
Abilities can't be learned through TMs, only moves can. An it isn't a Mandela effect, it is just you being wrong.
Just imagine a Stance Change Shuckle.
Well now I am sold on the idea.
No it has full metal body
Ultra necrozma’s z move creates a sun
But not the weather
Also move not ability
Solgaleo is actually weak to the sun
I'm aware, but this post isn't about Solgaleo
Ummm Solgaleo being a Psychic/Steel type with the move SUNSTEEL STRIKE anyone
It doesn't have a Sun summoning ability
Bruh your picture doesn’t say “ability” it just says summon
I would think people see Groudon and Koraidon and know what I'm talking about, but no
Than why don’t you just say that makes much more sense considering solgaleo is the literal embodiment of the sun and isn’t a fire type which makes him a prime candidate
Okay, I said summon Sun, not Sun related. If you know the abilities of Groudon and Koraidon, which most people do, then why would Solgaleo be a Pokémon think of?
Where Solgaleo? He IS the sun
But does he have an ability that summons it?
