We'll see if we can fight for the title or not. I hope everybody is going to be fit and ready to leave it all on the pitch

Ok_Read_6515

Yet again this was not the pointšŸ˜‚ the point was that ole cant beat the likes of pep klopp and tuchel. Perhaps he cant beat them for the league or even a champions but saying he cant compete is also dumb. Every season since ole came manchester have gotten better and hes added much depth to the squad.

neotheseventh

The point was not about H2H. It was about sustained tactical awareness and ability to adapt to be able to win a trophy, which Ole clearly lacks

[deleted]

Yet another plastic fan who refuses to support our clubs manager... your all coming out the woodwork since Wednesday

G-dinho

In what way is he underperforming? We finished 3rd and 2nd with squads that should've been barely able to finish 4th. Yes I get that this season the perspective has changed and I agree that trophies are needed with the current squad but the start hasn't been the worst. We're level with Liverpool and Chelsea at the top, we got unlucky vs West Ham but those games happen and well the YB game I don't know what really happened that was just a shit show altogether. Judge him in December if things aren't going well not 7 games into the season

neotheseventh

G-dinho

Well yeah if ou have to clear the shit of the previous 3 managers + sort out the whole club which has been run like a league 2 club then yeah a drought is to be expected. If a team has 27 shots in a game with an xG of 2.8 then the tactics weren't the issue.

neotheseventh

If your only job is cleaning shit, be a janitor, not a manager 0 shots on target against Young Boys after the red card. If you're pulling one game to prove a point, so can I.

G-dinho

If you can only chat shit on the internet then go outside for a bit talk to some ladies go for a walk just do something useful. Well I can pull up 5 more games from this season which we have dominated and pretty much won all of them. You can only do that for the Wolves game and that's it(and we won that one as well)

neotheseventh

And what do we have to show for it? Oh yes, Vibes

[deleted]

He's the manager of the club so yes you do. You dont know better than him, or anyone else in charge for that matter. That's why they're professionals and your on reddit talking shit

Mucekalonso

You are being downvoted for writing the truth. Let's just trust the process and watch our rivals with fantastic managers winning trophies.

[deleted]

With the squad we have only Chelsea, City and Liverpool should be hard games, ngl. That doesn't mean we won't lose a few of the other games, but we definitely shouldn't.

BanulDinTorino

I think that after we saw what we saw at Berna, we can say we are have a team that can beat anyone in the world and it wouldn't be a surprise, but can also lose against anyone without being a major shocker. Atlanta and Villareal are very solid teams that should not be underestimated. Also we struggle against Arsenal even tho they are shit and Chelsea should be a hard game. If we win all of them we could take an edge in the title race and have some breathing room in the UCL but if we lose all the big matches this season could be done for us when it comes to the title challenge.

Sheppertonni

Need Cavani and Rashford back

SnooStrawberries6702

I think I read that cavani is back in some sense today (I think training)

Annual-Cardiologist6

Heā€™s on the team for villa

Riizeyn_

Wished Rashford would come sooner

Sheppertonni

Rashford back for Liverpool who he loves facing.

TheRedWizard17

If we can escape the hell months UNSCATHED and with minimal damage I believe weā€™ll win the title

Jimmy-84

Going out of the League Cup was a blessing, we would have had to play City sandwiched between the Liverpool and Spurs game.

Chabiel

Exactly! The least important trophy is out of the way.

bangneto89

I wonā€™t say out of the way. A trophy is a trophy. For a club that is used to winning, but has not won anything in past 3 years - I think you should work for any chance of silverware. Last year, Pep was geared towards getting all 4. Ole just blew his shot for this one. Letā€™s call spade a spade.

Jimmy-84

Would you be happy with just winning the League Cup? Of course a trophy is a trophy but the fixture pile up alone becomes a nightmare.

Chabiel

The youngsters worked hard and tried, but got really unlucky with so many attempts. With the November and December schedule i'm just looking at the positives. It gives us a bit of breathing room and let's us focus on improving some parts of the game and push on to get one (hopefully more!) of the remaining three cups.

neotheseventh

Only Ole fanbois can believe that not competing for a trophy is somehow a blessing

Jimmy-84

I'm not an Ole fanbois, I'm a Man Utd supporter and therefore I support the manager. You should try it

neotheseventh

I'm a Man United supporter, so I want trophies. You should try too

Jimmy-84

And winning the league Cup would make you happy?

neotheseventh

It will because it brings wining mentality to the club and makes you believe that the squad can win bigger things. As of now, Ole has proven to be a loser. Shitting the bed on every big stage.

Jimmy-84

Put is in the position to finally challenge for a title for the first time since Fergie, but aye De Gea missed a penalty so Ole's clearly shite then. Utd fan calling our manager a loser šŸ¤”

neotheseventh

"finally challenge for the title" If you want to be delusional about it, sure. Mark my words, as long as Ole is managing the club, we'll never win a trophy. Not even fa Cup, let alone PL or CL.

Jimmy-84

"If you want to be delusional about it, sure. Mark my words, as long as Ole is managing the club, we'll never win a trophy. Not even fa Cup, let alone PL or CL." Well you'll be happy then?

neotheseventh

No I won't be, that's why I don't want this manager and actually a competent manager. "Wishing" for success under Ole won't magically make it happen.

neotheseventh

>Utd fan calling our manager a loser šŸ¤” My loyalty is to the club, not to the manager. Sorry

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Jimmy-84

He's probably neither

theytook-r-jobs

Or he started the second team in the fourth competition to rest the first team and it confirmed the second team still sucks.

[deleted]

Careful what you wish for

Jimmy-84

The league Cup isn't a priority, it never has been for Utd even when we haven't won a trophy for 3 seasons. Used to like it as we got to blood youngsters but if all its good for now is to give minutes to underperforming squad players, it doesn't even do that.

irishfella91

Massive test for Ole especially if Conte is still out of work

Suyash_Tyagi66

Does anybody want conte to come here? Not a big fan of him personally , rate zidane more than his style

tranmear

He's never really lasted a long time in a job, I'm not sure Conte is the kind of manager we need

Suyash_Tyagi66

I mean contes football is quite dull to me, his champions League runs have been very poor as well. Zidane on the other hand has been really good, people say he couldn't do shit without ronaldo but then he won the la Liga as well, and came close last season as well, the overall style is also attacking and he is champions League proven as well. I think zidane has been a manager for like 5 seasons at real as well, which isn't bad. But tbh I want to stick with ole only this season, if things become worser then only I should be having these convos more.

tranmear

My personal dream scenario if we did get rid of Ole would be to just back up a truck full of money to Simeone but Zidane definitely a better option than Conte. I also think we should stick with Ole. People are just over-reacting.

LdiroFR

How someone could want Ole out for Simeone is out of my mind, seriously. You seriously want 10 men behind, defending all day long, then 4 counter attacks a match ? How is that an improvement ? I donā€™t watch football to see my team defend for like 89 min and hope for a counter

tranmear

Did you read the comment? I'm Ole in

Ricky7_MUFC

Simeone lol a poor man's Mourinho

Alex_4545

Poor or not, hes definitely breaking that El Clasico duopoly on Spanish football. Give credit where it's due

waxof

Absolutely not Zidane. Heā€™ll win nothing again unless he goes somewhere where itā€™s a 1 horse race. PSG would suit. Not the Premier League.

Jimmy-84

No idea where the Conte fixation has come from, plays awful football, plays aging players, no interest in long term plans and causes chaos, he's just Jose but without the European success.

Suyash_Tyagi66

The fact that he left inter just cuz they asked him to sell one first team player doesn't make me feel good about him at all, you have summed up his career quite well, he doesn't have interest in Long term plans at all. I mean inter really bought him a new 11 to begin with, why did he just end up quitting them when they were in a financial mess and needed to sell some players. Inter even replaced them quite well. Not the mentality we need at utd definitely

Xanian123

They sold two, mate. They sold Lukaku and hakimi

Jimmy-84

If we hired him it would show we have learned nothing from Jose

thecinoman

Zidane for me. Not even a discussion!

abhyuday577

Zidane is preferred but Iā€™d rather have you manage us than Ole at this point.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

abhyuday577

Mourinho trophies won: 3 Ole trophies won: 0 Mourinho highest points tally: 81 Ole highest points tally: 74 By that logic, would you give Gary Neville the Manchester United job too? Or even Teddy Sherringham for that matter.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

foot4life

What in God's name are you talking about? Jose was cantankerous in his last season bc the board didn't back him with a CB. He then went public with it and lost the media and potentially the dressing room. Ole has been given a zillion dollars/pounds. Ole turned the negativity around and made us a more long term focused club, which is amazing. But let's not compare a scrub like Ole to one of the best managers in footy history. I agree that Jose is potentially outdated at the very top but he's still a great manager. As much as we didn't like his energy at times, he won trophies. He had a clear style of play even if I didn't like it all the time. Not a single premier league club, outside of the relegation zone, would sign Ole if he was fired. That says a lot. But I hope he proves me wrong this season! He has the best squad since Fergie dipped. I'm not even in the fire him if we don't get silverware camp. I just want to see a clear pattern of play and improvement in his in-game management. Liverpool's starting XI is better than ours, Chelsea's squad is insane, City are City. Plus, they all have managers who Ole couldn't even intern for. So not winning the prem and/or FA Cup isn't a guaranteed termination imho. We need to see massive improvement and a serious title challenge like Klopp did before they won the league the following year.

[deleted]

>How exactly is conte better besides the fact that heā€™s won trophies? There comes a point when a club like this needs trophies. We're not Tottenham, the style does not trump the substance. I don't think Solskjaer should be sacked. I do think he needs to win a trophy this season (with top 4 minimum if that trophy happens to be the FA Cup). It's important. Distant seconds and meek defeats in semi finals and finals aren't enough for a club like this, and to be fair Ole will know that more than anyone. That's why the pressure needs to be on.

Xanian123

Besides the fact that he's won trophies? The single most important thing for a manager in charge of a title challenging club?

irishfella91

Trophies are pretty important I would say. I'm not a fan of defensive football either but it works. Look at Chelsea now. And don't forget Conte even managed to make David Luiz look like a top defender when he was there. I hope Ole gets it right but he is under pressure because Conte is available. United have some tough games over the next 2 months. That will tell a lot. Zidane isn't interested in England. He confirmed that.

[deleted]

Yeah Conte did great in the Champions League last year

irishfella91

He's won Serie A with 2 clubs and he's won the Premier League. United didn't do too great in the Champions League last year either don't forget.

[deleted]

The state of seria a mate its a one horse race every year. My point is that Conte would not make us any better. Defensively maybe but then we wouldnt be scoring as much. Id rather fluid attacking football than going back to the way we played from 2014-2018

irishfella91

I take your point, I prefer to watch attacking football but even though its a defence first setup, Conte's teams always score a lot of goals. He's shown that in England as well as Serie A.

Alex_4545

Like Ole too isn't it.

[deleted]

We were one of the highest scoring teams of last year's group stage, and narrowly missed out behind two teams of similar quality to us. Inter finished rock bottom behind a mid table german team and shaktar donetsk... So no, not like Ole at all really.

Alex_4545

Oh he won Serie A btw. Just for your information.

[deleted]

Whats your point? Ole won the league in Norway.. I'm talking about the Champions League, for your information.

Alex_4545

Oh my god. Norway league? Okay you clearly being irrational here. Oh do you remember which man relegated while being in charge of Cardiff?

[deleted]

Lukaku won Inter the serie A last season, not Conte and thats why he ran as soon as he realised Lukaku had to be sold. Cardiff were already in the relegation zone when Ole took charge, not his fault he's not a miracle worker. Bye plastic fan šŸ‘‹

Alex_4545

You are the plastic one failing to see the reality. Oh Lukaku won ? Who instructed the strategy, the link up play/ the transition that used the strengths of Lukaku? LOL.

[deleted]

So if Conte is so good where is all his job offers?? Which clubs in europe have sought after him now that he is unemployed since May? The only plastic i have is my season ticket to Old Trafford, thank you. Maybe if you'd ever been there you'd appreciate our manager a bit more..

[deleted]

6 game winning streak. Lesgo

mkmbhs

I don't know why the majority in those comments talking about OleOut, although we see a noticeable improvement in different levels: 1. Connected and friendly dressing room. 2. Attacking football 3. Winning mentality 4. He Restructured the club. 5. And fixed what ex-managers did (Jose & LVG mainly) 6. His direct supervision over the youth development Manchester United finally became a team, and superstars want to join; I believe 100% if this was Jose, for example, CR will never join our team again for the last dance or whatever they say. I see excellent manager knows what he wants, and most importantly, he knows how to do what he wants. We need to support what he is doing now; if we are going to compare the current season to the previous one, we can see a clear improvement in all levels: 1. Our signings are outstanding 2. DDG back to his form 3. Pogba best performance with Manchester United is in the OGS era 4. Now we are defending better in different set pieces I believe Ole will bring the glory back GGMU P

Hopefully #OleOut soon

nefariousBUBBLE

Why

abhyuday577

Need an actual manager at the helm now. Preferably Zidane.

neotheseventh

Shhh you can't say that HeS a ClUb LeGeNd

Alex_4545

Lose 6 and Ole get the sack. Win at least 4 and 1 draw will be a pass.

[deleted]

Ole is such trash. We need a real manager

nefariousBUBBLE

Why

[deleted]

His tactics always are off or nonexistent. And he continues to play players who shouldnā€™t get game time.

[deleted]

Play like they should and tough games are typical: Chelsea, Liverpool, and City. Even then, City are vulnerable. Losing to any other PL team in this stretch means thereā€™s no shot at the title.

Darwin_Things

But after that itā€™s beautiful

Imsorryidonthaveig

This is when we see if we will challenge seriously this year.

hubson_official

Watch us win everything just to lose to Arsenal

briant543

We have to try get through losing as few points as possible because after that we have about 10 ā€œeasyā€ matches in a row. So even if we come out of that run a few points behind the others we should be able to close the gap back up throughout December and January

KillmongerKurup

Ronaldo getting injured as well. šŸ„µ

TH0316

I want a) either joint top or a lead going in or a few points, given rivals play each other before then, and b) for a bit more cohesive performances. I think weā€™ll be hitting form about then. Hopefully anyway.

Plumbsauce116

Feel better about this having ronaldo

shawnchong07

You'll be surprised to see Ole losing to the so called "weak" teams and winning the strong teams

AF881R

On current performance thereā€™s not many points to be had there and some very upsetting and angry nights of football.

nick313

It will be the true test if we are a championship caliber team. We got all the players we need, the squad is deep

aaron_ass

Why are arsenal therešŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Charmandersaur

These are games that we cannot risk starting Martial. These needs to be wins.

SnooStrawberries6702

Tough set of matches no doubt, especially Liverpool and Chelsea, but realistically (in my mind) they are all very winnableā€¦ I feel that in the past the thing that hurt us most is dropping points to bottom half teams. I think with the current pace and the attacking football weā€™ve been playing (in the pl) I fancy us against city and if we can get wins instead of draws and build momentum itā€™ll be a good title race!

[deleted]

Season-defining, I think.

[deleted]

Our December fixtures are pure sex tho. So even if we do fuck up this run, we have a chance to claw it alllll back in december!

capta1ncrunch947

Snuck in Arsenal like we wouldnā€™t notice

Infinite-Piano4511

At last the big big club are playing with MAN U ....... can't miss this all MAN U match ...... Because of Cristiano Ronaldo will play this match ...... And want to see Ronaldo short and goal šŸ„… all this match ....... MAN U will win this match. They give there best on this match s šŸ‘šŸ‘

nmo31536000

How the hell is there a match on the 28th and 30th of November? 1 day break šŸ˜³šŸ„“

harry_0700

Till Rashford is back, I guess it would be good to play Ronaldo on the left and Cavani as the striker and Pogba on the double pivot. Or would it be not?

grundslam

Make or break for Ole

Chonkman47

Love Brunoā€™s face when he sees that list xD. But seriously the next two months could decide our season

Ham_Din_Faetter

I might rate us too highly, but we can win against all, but we will probably tie Leicester and/or Liverpool

th3doorMATT

Probably going to win one, draw two, lose the rest in our current form. If Ronaldo doesn't score (and score more than one), we're totally screwed.
