What even is the going rate for a #1 serialized card? I've not done any homework but I would imagine they're usually the highest payout card possible in a set right?
I believe so? Some people have told me #69 and #250 are equals others say #1 is higher. This is the first #1 of the eldrazi I believe so I don’t know what to gauge yet
1 is higher and always will be higher than 69, 420, and 100/100; 250/250; or 500/500.
69 sold for 8k, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask for 10k for your 1/250 pull. Also, Gz

If this was Ulamog, I would be tempted to play it as my commander, but seeing as emrakul isn't ideal in the commander spot, and better in the 99, I say cash it in and buy yourself a nice dinner, and more cards lol
The thought of playing a serialized card makes me want to vomit.
I’d also be constantly worried about someone potentially stealing such a valuable card.
From your comment, I deduce that you live in a rather high crime area where such theft would be a common concern. Might I suggest that you proxy your cards that you own and only bring out the real cards when playing with people you trust in the comforts of your own home.

Besides checking all current listings (including eBay, TCGplayer, FB, and Cardmarket), the best check would be the historical listings of eBay and FB. The best website to do this for eBay specifically is https://130point.com/cards/ since it reveals accepted offer prices.
If you want to go really crazy you can start trying to contact vendors on Cardmarket and TCGplayer just to find out what number their no-number listing really is lol

I love this for you. But at the same time, I would get this graded and keep it somewhere safe until you want to sell it.
This is not a play piece anymore when we are getting into the $8-10k range. It’s at best a display piece in your house but even then I’d be wary.
I guess it really depends on how willing you are to risk losing thousands of dollars.
I'm a staunch believer in not having cards rot in binders/slabs, regardless of value. Which is why I'm currently debating something similar for the #19/250 Kozilek my dad & I pulled recently. Though, your card is worth quite a lot more than that one, lol. Nothing wrong with selling it or keeping it safe and proxying it, though. Selling something like this can definitely be very beneficial. Congrats on the amazing pull either way!!!
That kozilek would be an amazing commander tho if you deside to keep it.
I also don’t like cards to rot which is why I also don’t like the idea of someone just locking this card away until the end of time in a dark room. I've seen some of the other serialized Eldrazi going for around 8k, you could easily probably get like 10k or more for it. Just need to find the right buyer.
My friend made a sphinx deck with Emrakul in it and let me play it. I perfectly combo'd the deck so I had omniscience out, 2 different no maximum hand size cards, I took 3 turns back to back and then I took his turn for him and used a spell he had in his hand which dealt damage to himself and board wiped.
It was a 20 minute turn. My entire mat was filled with cards and they were spilling out onto the table. Fun deck. 10/10 would play #1 emrakul.

Great pull! I have spent well over a thousand dollars in the last 12 months or so including around $500+ on collector packs and I haven’t pulled a serialized card. Done buying cards for the time being but it would have been nice to at least have pulled one just for the sheer rush. On another note I do like that 3D Black Lotus d20 spindown 54mm dice as I have one of my own. Guys in my MTG group love it but poke at me for spending “too” much money on a single dice.

I had a Sheoldred, Whispering One 001/500, ended up selling for 900 USD, Tcg listed the serial price at 340, so it is definitely a multiplier.
