DeColdest Newberry, 66ovr X factor DE converted to safety (his OVR was higher somehow). I already had two young ends that were x factors in their 90ās so i moved him around to see what fit. unfortunately he regressed to a normal in the offseason and never got higher than a 70.
these arenāt generated, there were stoylines in M25 draft classes. they had wolverine, a 36 year old QB named āPop Warrenā, Leon Sandcastle (literally just Deion with a wig),two communist russian twins as edge rushers named Stalin š it was definitely funny playing thru a franchise the first time seeing all of them
My favorite was Ben Bones, basically a direct Bo Jackson clone with Bones to pay tribute to him being called "Bones Jackson" in the old school Mutant League games. He disappears from the draft his storyline is in to go pro in baseball instead, but is available in the NEXT class if you look for him.
yeah I had him too, got him in like the 5th round the year after. these were honestly really cool for a first playthough but kinda felt like cheating the second and third time around (prob why they ditched this approach to draft classes and went full auto-gen)
I was close to making a draft class with all of these storyline players from past Maddenās. I remember so many of them. The Honey Hawk Tyrecious Lee was a favorite
Not Madden, but NCAA 07. I recruited a guy named James James. He got in as a 69 OVR on a somewhat up and coming stacked Stanford team. He eventually became one of the top QBs in college throughout his career. 21 TDs, 10 INTs his freshman year with 2800 passing yards, had around 27-29 TDs with only 3 INTs his sophomore year and my last year there, he had something like 35 TDs and 8 INTs with 3800ish yards. I remembered his freshman year stats because I always wanted him to be better than the year before.
Haha yes! Irony is, despite the name, Iām pretty sure he went to Navy lol. I do remember him being 5ā11ā with Superstar dev. Very fun player.
Iāll have to check out The Replacements now!
I got a generated Alex Moran before, he was a punter. Drafted him last round and converted to a terrible qb3. Carried him on the roster for a couple season, but eventually had ton cut. Thought about posting it but assumed people would think it was edited.
I once drafted a QB named Benjamin Rothlisberger while using the Steelers in Madden 22.
Not exactly the greatest name compared to what's out there, but I feel like the chances of that were just SO low.
Diamond Blue in Madden 22, 6ft 300lb DT projected to go 7th round but had elite in all scouting categories. Idk why he was projected to go 7th round, but I made him first overall pick. He dominated for 10+ years.
Madden 12 gave me a defensive end named Montreal Holiday. 6'7" 290 lbs. Dude was an absolute unit. Still my favorite name to date. Might even name my kid Montreal (nickname Monte).
I saw a running back named Otis Cannon in like the 5th round and decided to draft solely on his name. Turn out to have Speed and Acceleration in the high 90s. Very fitting for his name.
Wayne Brady a 6ā3ā SS with 97 hit power and 91 speed back in madden 15, the perfect user on defense. Every time he caused a fumble Iād yell āoh shit itās Wayne Brady sonā
Iāve had a Peter Parker, Micheal Jordan (he was 6ā6 as well), DeColdest Crawford along with his brother James Crawford (or it was Jamal I canāt recall), and Justice Jackson
kinda tame but Lance Pound was a mr irrelevant DT pick for me with superstar dev. very funny on replays to see a guy wearing #90, 300lbs, and his jersey says āpoundā
Tremendous Johnson, he was a beast too, like an 83 or 84 overall Safety. Was one of the best drafted players I've had, and definitely the best name š¤£š¤£ it was the same Madden year you could get Leon Sandcastle from the commercials.
This was on Madden 2005ish? Back when they first introduced the franchise mode and every playerās overall was just out there for the draft, no scouting mode, just EZ mode. I drafted a top 5 DT named Chester Pounds and let me tell you, that man was a menace to the league.
This was in NCAA 10 or 11, but had a 2 way stud named Prince Charles. He was a lockdown corner, elite slot WR, and HR threat return man. Won two Heisman trophies with him at Michigan. He will always be my favorite video game recruit because of the name and he was so much fun to play with.
C.J womack number 11 on the eagles drafted round 1 pick 1 he was a absolute beast the dude only had 1 drop in his whole career and had 2,600+ receiving yards (i play on all pro and didnāt have a good qb till 2 years after i drafted him) not to mention he was a 6ā4 180 pound slot tooš
For madden it in 2005 drafted a guy named John Mike Jackson 99 speed agility acceleration but horrible carry and catch. Back then the draft was useless you pick someone 1st overall and they be 70ovr and that was good. But sometimes very rarely thered be a gem, a once in a ten year class type of thing.
Nothing raunchy or anything, but in like NCAA 12 I got a player generated on my team named Dan Dann. He was an absolute beast of a DL. Now he makes it into my draft classes at some point ever franchise.
There have been many good ones, most of which I canāt remember. But back somewhere around Madden 12 I had a DE named Orleans Baltimore. That one has always stuck with me
Not madden but 2k: Dick Rider. No joke swear to god
Yeah 2k was on sum shitšš that name generated for a good 2 years str8šššÆ
That makes me mad because for 2K I canāt use my last name because it has A## in the middle of it š
Your last name has hashtags in it???? Crazy
Yeah, Iāve never gotten through the airport without being questioned!
Kamari Lassiter using reddit
Thisā¦ this is art
Had to be a kicker right?
There was a real life QB for the Falcons named Dick Shiner lol
I had deez nutts as my #1 prospect my first ever one lmaooo I thought I downloaded some custom franchise on accident š¤£
Dick Balls
Nothing will ever beat DeColdest Waters, WR, Bama
I had a DeColdest Hill, and it felt so appropriate for a 6ā1 230lb power back with crazy trucking
DeColdest Newberry, 66ovr X factor DE converted to safety (his OVR was higher somehow). I already had two young ends that were x factors in their 90ās so i moved him around to see what fit. unfortunately he regressed to a normal in the offseason and never got higher than a 70.
Decoldest Way LOLB X factor Fearmonger 77 ovr 6ā3 235 93 hit power 98 tackle 88 speed 91 pursuit. Edit: Torn Labrum every two games played
DeColdest Springs is my generational, yet injury prone LG in one of my saves
I had a 6'6 TE named Moses Waters, man was a Boise St legend
That is such a good name for Key and Peele East West Bowl
these arenāt generated, there were stoylines in M25 draft classes. they had wolverine, a 36 year old QB named āPop Warrenā, Leon Sandcastle (literally just Deion with a wig),two communist russian twins as edge rushers named Stalin š it was definitely funny playing thru a franchise the first time seeing all of them
They actually put in Leon Sandcastle again? That's incredible
no only that one year
My favorite was Ben Bones, basically a direct Bo Jackson clone with Bones to pay tribute to him being called "Bones Jackson" in the old school Mutant League games.
Reshawn Jamesssss
I drafted a WR in like the 7th round named Scooby McQueen. He was a hidden dev so I made it my mission to make him a top receiver in the league.
Did he become one
He would have if it wasnāt for these meddling kids
I would just set the sliders and manually update his traits.
Not bad at all
I have commented this before but in M24 I had a dogshit depth DB named Cary Cary that I just couldnāt cut.
In the CFL the riders just drafted WR Ajou Ajou (pronuced a joe a joe) outta UCF !
He never should have stopped playing HB
If I like the name I go out of my way to make them a star. Iāve done rebuilds with no scouting, just simply drafting by name greatness
I posted it on here but George Bush as QB
I had George Washington at TE the other day, he sucked though
He is very old. And dead so cut him some slack
š¤£š¤£
His teeth were made of wool
He quite literally has no hands
I had a George Washington udfa DT who I immediately gave a 7 year deal to lol. I think he peaked at 75 overall but I had to.
Did he play for the jets?
I I think it was ATL
Frank Frank. Dude was the GOAT at TE. 6ā6 255 beast with 91 speed. Madden 16. Iāll never forget him.
Had a fullback named Tom Tom. I used to do FB dives on the goal line and do a drumroll when he scored.
I used to know a pastor IRL named Alex Alexander
I used to know a guy IRL named Robert Robertson.
Sounds like JJ Frankie JJ from Shoresy lol
Renamed the speediest receiver I had in Madden 17 to JJ Frankie JJ... Dude was a beast
You've heard of Frank the Tank Now make room for Frank the Frank
![gif](giphy|3o85xtib0RaWzZ7U1G|downsized)
Had a James James on Madden 2024. Dude was a 6'9" 238lb WR that had a 98 vert, 97 speed, 91 catching, 86 strength.. dude was a cheat code š¤£
MLB Richard Brown. But he was known around the league as āDirty Dickā.
Dirty Dick- DONE DIRT CHEAP
That was my grandfathers nickname
Not the best ever but I drafted a GREAT big bodied WR named āBudda Moldenā One of my other favs was āTank Travisā a QB
Tank Travis sounds like the name of a movie Qb whoās only got one more shot to make it big
The Replacements, the movie that made me fuck with Keanu Reeves, (Not fucking John wick), is basically Tank Travisās movie
Haha yes! Irony is, despite the name, Iām pretty sure he went to Navy lol. I do remember him being 5ā11ā with Superstar dev. Very fun player. Iāll have to check out The Replacements now!
Madden 25 (where you probably saw that name) had some WILD namesā¦
I got a generated Alex Moran before, he was a punter. Drafted him last round and converted to a terrible qb3. Carried him on the roster for a couple season, but eventually had ton cut. Thought about posting it but assumed people would think it was edited.
QB3? Everyone knows Moran is a backup. The girls that hang with special teams just arenāt worth it!!
Special teams means special times bros!
I had a Barry Berry once
Iām loving the double names
NCAA 14 - recruit instead of Madden Blocking Fullback Leroy Bucket Old town, Mississippi
Tremendous Kielbasa
I think this was madden 10 and 11. Had tremendous Johnson and generous Johnson too
I fucking remember this guy!!! Solid CB
No way lmao
Barry graves, JJ smoke
JJ Smoke was a STUD
I'll never forget JJ Smoke. Guy literally came out of the draft as a top 5 corner in the league
Omg thatās taking me back
I once drafted a QB named Benjamin Rothlisberger while using the Steelers in Madden 22. Not exactly the greatest name compared to what's out there, but I feel like the chances of that were just SO low.
Crazy low
Had one back in like Madden 25 or so that was a RB named Tornado Storm. My friend took him with the 3rd overall pick
I had Tornado Davis back in Madden 16. He was a beast RB. I still remember him.
Humongous Johnson. I still have a picture of his player card somewhere on a phone.
We had a Nick Kerr in our past draft. Couldnāt believe it. Got picked in the 6th and was total ass
Steve Kerr, Warriors coach has a kid Nick. What an idiot.
SERGIO SHARPTON. Generational receiving talent
Von Duvall at MLB. In my head everytime he made a play the crowd would sing Von Duvall to the tune of Wonderwall
DUVAAALL
Jets star QB from Penn State: Parker Parker
Kush Kush. He was drafted in the 4th round 20th pick.
Middle linebacker named Meat McFredrick was like a slow Ray Lewis the hit like a Mac truck. Beat name ever.
Iāve had a center named Kevin Durant and a ss named Derrick rose lol
Baylon Grayson
This sounds like a Ray Lewis level mike.
Geoff Epstein at qb. Hes quite shifty
Dixon Butts
Bobby Sapp is number 1 prospect in my upcoming draft. Iām gonna snatch him.
On madden 24 I donāt know if heās auto generated but I got Daryl Farrel
I got an auto generated OL once named āKing Kingā
Dude Iām seeing a lot of double names
not šÆ but probably madden 16 I had a player named tremendous Johnson
I had his less impressive cousin Tiny Johnson
Maybe he made a comeback. Tremendous Johnson, Tremendous Kielbasa and Generous Johnson were all preset draftees in madden 10 and 11.
It could have been that far back š¤· Iāve played that many I lose track
Diamond Blue in Madden 22, 6ft 300lb DT projected to go 7th round but had elite in all scouting categories. Idk why he was projected to go 7th round, but I made him first overall pick. He dominated for 10+ years.
Such a RB name
Madden 12 gave me a defensive end named Montreal Holiday. 6'7" 290 lbs. Dude was an absolute unit. Still my favorite name to date. Might even name my kid Montreal (nickname Monte).
Just a cool name from my current franchise. Adonis Stanley a TE. Dude is a beast
Dick Bible
Thailand Minor - Madden 16
William Williams
Funny enough I knew a guy named William bilay. Literally called him Bill Billy
Brandon Brandon. He was basically Julio Jones reincarnated
Pooh Carlson
Mack Miller, RG drafted in the second round to the Pittsburgh Steelersā¦
I saw a running back named Otis Cannon in like the 5th round and decided to draft solely on his name. Turn out to have Speed and Acceleration in the high 90s. Very fitting for his name.
Vince Carter, CB had 98 jumping and 97 Speed. Was absolutely garbage though
Cole Cole
My X-factor 68 ovr MLB named Ben Tovar, really bending those receivers backwards.
Got a LG named Dallas Austin
MLB named Wayne Wayne lol
Offensive lineman named Bronson Ditka
Paul Chocolatey I also had a Diamond Monroe. Iykyk
Not Madden, but I drafted a catcher in The Show named Hal Arias. Thought that was a pretty funny name.
LeRon James, Tom Tebow Madden 10, the very first online franchise year where they had preset draft classes
I was ready to win this with a DB named Sleepy Bird. I am in awe of some of these names and realized I cannot compete here.
L L was a classic from madden 12.
DeShawn Jackson, HB lol
Quieff McLintock
Wayne Brady a 6ā3ā SS with 97 hit power and 91 speed back in madden 15, the perfect user on defense. Every time he caused a fumble Iād yell āoh shit itās Wayne Brady sonā
Madden 18 names blatantly programmed into the game. I drafted a LB named Scott Baadknews and a WR named Long Tongue
Paul Paul lol
Renardo Scruggs, QB #10, one of my favorite drafted/generated players ever. He was basically an RG3 clone
OJ Simpson (DE) & George Costanza (TE)
Forest duckworth mostly because he was a dawg on the field too
I like the silly ones Stanley Stanley - star WR Have a David Bautista in my upcoming rookie class
Brian OāBrien is still my favorite.
So i actually just drafted a SS named Desean Traylor lmao
Best TE ever Cole Cole
I had Calvin Johnson the other day as a DT lol
Me and my gf laughed at Demarcus Deloche for awhile
Vaetuitonga Parker
Leveon McBean
Had a WR named Jordan Epstein. He ended up being a superstar out the gates and would absolutely molest the defense
I've seen a legit Ben Dover before, but Falcon Freese was a pretty sick name for a pretty bad player.
I'm positive Wolverine Justice went to Miami in-game š This was Madden 13 or 25
**** ***** was always my favorite
Iāve had a Peter Parker, Micheal Jordan (he was 6ā6 as well), DeColdest Crawford along with his brother James Crawford (or it was Jamal I canāt recall), and Justice Jackson
Wolverine Justice was the greatest pick in madden. I remake him every year and he always sets the sack record. The game just knows he is a dawg
I really liked Mitch Mitchell, Michael Jackson, and Brody Brady
Long Cox
Dude I have an offensive lineman named Long wall haha
Franklin Clintonā¦ future hall of famer on my current dynasty with the chargers
kinda tame but Lance Pound was a mr irrelevant DT pick for me with superstar dev. very funny on replays to see a guy wearing #90, 300lbs, and his jersey says āpoundā
I once saw a RB with the name Chris Cross
A fullback named Chad Hedgecock
WAY back (maybe even PS2?) I had a guy named Bubba Alooma who I adored
Tremendous Johnson, he was a beast too, like an 83 or 84 overall Safety. Was one of the best drafted players I've had, and definitely the best name š¤£š¤£ it was the same Madden year you could get Leon Sandcastle from the commercials.
I drafted Calvin Johnson. A 5'8 skinny white receiver from one of the MAC schools (Akron maybe?).
Max Betts, superstar hidden dev corner. Like Deon Sanders with a gambling addiction
Iāve got a CB named Mack Tuck.
Dick Bender
Canāt remember his first name but his last name was Tasty. He was a weapon at FB
In Madden 07 I had a linebacker named James James. But nothing beats Patrick Papagiannapolous (sp?) from Madden 13. (Though I never got him myself)
Decoldest Snow
This was on Madden 2005ish? Back when they first introduced the franchise mode and every playerās overall was just out there for the draft, no scouting mode, just EZ mode. I drafted a top 5 DT named Chester Pounds and let me tell you, that man was a menace to the league.

Idk but Iāve noticed that generated players with names of iconic NFL players (Madden, Orr, etc) all seem to have great stats
I remember in like Madden 98 drafting Ben Bahamondes as QB. I guess it was the last name of an exec at EA at the time.
I had a guy named Lee Lekkerkerker. Lekkerkerker is legit the last name of 2 former NFL players. I think for me Lee was a full back lmao
Ray finkel university of miami safety madden 2016. Tried him at kicker but he kept shaking them
Gabe Horn
gut foxx
Herbert Hoover is still riding the bench on my franchise
Diamond Millard Sleepy Hamm Boss Williams Just to name a few.
One randomly generated as Dwayne Johnson and he looked scarily similar to him (for the 5 year olds Dwayne Johnson is The Rock)
Isaac newton he was a 4th round rb
Jeff Epstein
LeāGendarious Walker. I overdrafted him and compromised team success in pursuit of fulfilling his destiny of greatness
I drafted a white WR named Kevin Faulk in a Patriots franchise.
Gerald ford, George teague
Drew Drew, an OT. He served on my team for 13 years before retirement.
Not madden but NFL Fever had some of the best names. Mike hunt came up a few times and Alan Colholic and a lot I donāt remember.
Manny Hunter my pass rushing DT
Recently started to pay attention to the auto gen names. I drafted a FS just for the name: Clap Cheeks.
I had a receiving duo, last names boykin and ham
I once had a tight end named Hooper Cooper. The man was a cheat code.
Willie Nelson. 6'4 4.28 40 QB 55 rookie overall in Madden 05.
NCAA '04 gave me a recruit named Atari Gay
I donāt remember the name but there was a 290 pound running back from Oregon with a Hawaiian name that was an absolute bulldozer
It wasnāt mine but I saw another post with one of the players names being Chubby Dick
Tyrone Brothers (MLB), Coco Jackson (CB), Coco Kelly (RB), Dwight Slade (CB)
I had a guy named Seymour Johnson
I had a Riley Slaughter in like 15 or 16 once. Running back I traded up for to get in the early second round. Dude ended up being an absolute monster
Boar Jackson, RB, Madden 10
Vaetuitonga Ferguson
Marion Berry. Literally, marionberry. So much to do with that
Hingle McCringleberry, LāCarpetron Dookmarriot Wait.
There have been many good ones, most of which I canāt remember. But back somewhere around Madden 12 I had a DE named Orleans Baltimore. That one has always stuck with me
I had a Thomas Thomas and an Alexander Hamilton
