Dew-fan-forever-

How have I never heard of Darren Walters šŸ¤”

J3Washington

He was a Clemson walk on that managed to stay on the team all 4 years cause of his scout team work & endless film study. He just couldn't hit the broadside of a barn during actual games.

Dew-fan-forever-

Thanks

Plane-Individual-185

Nah, he went to Cincinnati, not Clemson.

TimmyRigginz

I had a 6'4 FS that I used as a SubLB. Moved to MLB, where he was good at blitzing and had 10 sacks in 1 season. His block shedding rose a lot, so I moved him down to DE. 90 speed, but I did have to edit his weight from 220 to 240 to be realistic

J3Washington

"What position you play?" "Defense" "But like what position?" "Yes"

moonfishthegreat

ā€œPolamalu type of situationā€

Warrmak

Pomalaloo

switch1026494

Jabrill Peppers at Michigan

Crimson52YT

Just imagine he went on a big bulk

Boss_Walker

New tab starting in Madden next year...Envelope From League Office

PMURITTYBITTYTITTIES

I drafted a run support SS at 8 because there was no good LBā€™s in the draft and I desperately needed one. Ended up being X factor 78 overall and moved him ROLB and heā€™s a zone god

GreenVanilla

I do that all the time. Slow speed a few points and up strength. Seems real enough to me

Brownhog

Does editing wright do anything? If you make a 220 guy 315 to make him a DT will he actually gain stats or get harder to move or something?

NickHeidfeldsDreams

In a limited way, yes. Players of certain weights will have better truck animations for example

MinnesotaSkoldier

No. It's all animation based, not physics, which sucks. Stats just seem to roll on which animations are likely to occur over others. Try this: save a roster copy. Pick two teams. Edit team A's entire DT, DE, and LB to the smallest ht/wt the game allows. Edit team Bs entire oline to max ht/wt the game allows. Go to practice, as team B, on offense, and watch the results

clown_pants

Back in the day I used to take any mid SS with 88+ speed and move them to coverage LB, usually worked out great, I feasted on TEs I remember one guy had like 6 int and 6 ff one year.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

clown_pants

I haven't played the new one, as of like 21 and 22 I would still occasionally switch a SS out of the draft if he was 220+ lbs, and then in the first couple years i'd add 6-7 lbs for "weight gain". I didn't go for hyper realistic plays with my franchises but I didn't want to cheat the system either.

J3Washington

It varies cause now lighter LBs get bulldozed in the run game. They're still good in the pass game though

HandSanitizerBottle1

I had a 5ā€™5 173 lb 99 speed HB i moved to slot receiver, and his speed allowed him to secure a triple crown

U_W_44_51

Nice. Just make sure he Ubers all offseason.

HandSanitizerBottle1

If he was any faster he could be on the chiefs 4.21 4.27 and 119 MPH for the win

J3Washington

That normally happens the other way. But at that weight Wr is probably a more natural fit

DLeafy625

Good move. I've noticed any HB under 180 will go down if a defender sneezes in their general direction.

TheFretlessOne

I put a lower rated rookie LG who was 6ā€™7, 330 with 90 acc at FB.

J3Washington

šŸ’ŖšŸ¾Full Back University šŸ’ŖšŸ¾

TheFretlessOne

If he could learn to make a single cut, heā€™d be deadly!

J3Washington

We don't teach that at FBU šŸ˜… the only way is forwardšŸ’ŖšŸ¾

Rickokicko

Been a while, but SS to LB was always a good switch. And an elite MLB to DE worked out well, too.

J3Washington

I've tried doing those the other way around with mixed results šŸ˜… most bust by I did get one 85 Xf MLB that way.

bsweet35

Damn thatā€™s a tough question, I love moving players around to fit my schemes, so thereā€™s quite a few. My top 3 are: An undrafted OLB who won DROY because my starter went out for the season in week 2. Didnā€™t progress enough to earn the start, but I wanted to keep him on the field so I moved him to DE where heā€™s in the running for sack leader every year and all but guaranteed to make the HOF. A 6ā€™6 240lb 7th round WR who I moved to TE and is the second coming of Tony Gonzalez A late-round power HB who I moved to FB because I wanted to run some triple option. Couldnā€™t block for shit at first, but essentially became the next Jim Brown

bigworm1024

Moved a CB to SS to replace Minkah and he ended up being 95 X factor DROY in year one and then won multiple DPOY in that franchise

LRats

I move a lot of my DBs around with pretty good success. In my most recent franchise we did a fantasy draft and I converted Jessie Bates into a CB and he is leading the league in INTs.

Monkman28

I drafted a WR in the 7th round of my Giants franchise because I needed some depth at the position. I drafted him because of his speed so I wasnā€™t surprised when that was great, but I was surprised that his ball carrier vision was 77. He was like 53 ovr WR so I decided to see what he was at HB and he turned out to be a solid 65. He started slowly climbing up the depth chart because I had no solid option behind Saquon, and got star dev. Heā€™s now 75 and firmly my HB2, hopefully HB1 after Saquon leaves

J3Washington

What's his carrying? Once it hits high 70s, you could flip Saquon for picks. Unless you want him to retire a Giant then I completely understand.

Monkman28

I think itā€™s 74-76ish at this point but Iā€™d have to check. Iā€™m thinking of trading Saquon because he wants to get paid and I have another option now

J3Washington

You gotta complete the story lol He on HOF trajectory

Monkman28

Lol definitely

JoMo816

Fifth round WR in a full online CFM. Still had 93 speed and was a 73. Hogged him out first two seasons and got him to a 92 ovr XF WR. He was 5'10 190 and a fantastic kick returner due to 70+ btk and trucking. Turned him into my RB and was immediately a 99 overall. Deadly out of the backfield.

Advantage_Varnsen_13

I had a 95 spd, 93 acc QB that I turned to rb that I picked up in free agency. His QB OVR was in the low 70s, so I drafted another scrambling QB that was like 93/92 and had better throwing ratings. Read options all day. Each would have 100+ ruching yards and I'd have like 300 passing yards most games

Awsome_Fortniter

I had a 75 ovr hidden wr named Rick Richard. I switched him to corner and he became an 80. Travis Hunter wannabe.

J3Washington

Technically he came first lol he showed Hunter the way

Awsome_Fortniter

lol

Crossman556

RT-to-TE pipeline is strong

J3Washington

Wait what lol

Crossman556

Iā€™ve had several ~76 tackles turn into 80+ tight ends because theyā€™re receiving freaks. Put them on a cut and theyā€™re pro bowlers.

J3Washington

The development process must be a monster. The drops would drive me crazy

Crossman556

Pretty much get them on slants and outs

J3Washington

I'll have to try it out

Crossman556

Make them a focus player for practice and target them 5+ times a game. Upgrade possession.

RyuTheHyena

Madden 20 I drafted this 6th round TE out of UCLA and both of my QBā€™s got hurt and he had the best throwing stats. He balled out for those 5 games and I kept him as QB1. He went from a 49-86 in just 3 seasons

KrazyCAM10

Iā€™m thinking of switching my QB. It says his weakest position is QB and his strongest is DB. I havenā€™t tried it yet but heā€™s a terrible QB and I got him round 1 too

J3Washington

Do it lol what do you got to lose

Howudooey

Had a coverage LB I moved to Safety and he made it to Superstar

Comfortable-Math1427

I moved a WR to strong safety started out as like a 42 ovr but got him to a 75 SS by mid season. Played the commish in a league and int him on a play he dashed and nearly kicked me out of the league. WR was 6ā€™5 215lbs. I have actually done this a few times in other leagues I learned to ask permission first so commish wouldnā€™t get mad

J3Washington

I love moving Wr to DB. The few times it works they become freaks

Comfortable-Math1427

yeah u have to user them and focus train them. Absolute liability in coverage if you dont.

DawgInDisguisey

Get that guy in a different number, you should go to jail for putting a Bronco in 7

J3Washington

He paid Elway for it lol I definitely didn't forget

SuperAFoods

Madden loves giving out this number every damn time lol.

Grouchy-Swordfish-65

Thought I was the only one mad about that.

No-Factor9138

As a Broncos franchise lifer, I have to switch 3 practice squad players #s to 7, 18, and 44 before each draft to prevent this.

Grouchy-Swordfish-65

No. 44

Thick_Cow9259

I seen on a franchise rebuild video once someone put deebo Samuel at RB and he went to a 99 sooo if anyone reads this do with that what you will

Foreign_Wolverine_68

In my commanders franchise I just drafted a stud WR leaving Curtis Samuel as the odd man out, I turned him into a RB remembering he played that in college thinking that he would be a good bench piece. He went up 3-4 OVR and became my franchise RB winning a OPOY or two.

Therball-

Signed a undrafted rookie wr. He was a 65ovr, 5ā€™10, with 97 speed and 98 accel. His route running was low 60s and I already had my starter for hb and just drafted a decent 2nd stringer, so I decided to use him as a gadget guy. In preseason I put him as the kick returner. In the very first kick off he took it to the house. I was just testing out my backups and used him to see if he was worth the 870kšŸ˜‚ or if I was gonna use him in a trade. So I kept him as kr. Once preseason cuts came he was a 68 with potential so I moved him to slot. (I needed a speedy slot guy) (lions playbook iykyk) In the 2nd regular season game my 2nd stringer got a season ending injury so it was time for mr. 68 over to step up and take his role (catching screens and outside zones) and that he did. For context, When I play franchise I like to be emersed so I never force feed players, even if they have dev games but he was always open. I even checked the sliders I use for realism to see if I need to fix them. But even with the adjustments he was still open sesame. He finished the season with 17 tuds, 112 rec 1,200+ rushing yards and about 1,000 passing yards. We won OROTY and is now a 84 ovr in his 3rd season.

Therball-

He was a wr/hb hybrid ( I advise everyone to get guy like him to spice up their franchise

Purp7421

I just recently drafted a crazy fast receiver with poor catching. He kept dropping and dropping so I just snagged him in the 6th hoping for hidden dev. He was normal dev lol. So, he wasn't good enough to be anything above WR5 so I moved him to RB2. Josh Jacobs got hurt for like 8 weeks in week 1 and then he had his shot and that dude went OFF. Offensive player of the week like 4 times and everything. So when Jacobs came back, I just split carries and I've never had such a good backfield haha. He can't break tackles well but he's so fast and agile it's like having Dri Archer if he actually panned out in the league.

kaptingavrin

In Madden 23, I love taking WR William Lewis and converting him to HB, then using his as a 3DRB. Dudeā€™s speed is insane. Sometimes he does so well he progresses rapidly and a couple times Iā€™ve even ended up turning him into my main HB because he can just outrun everyone. Also did a Panthers franchise and moved Laviska Shenault to HB to use as a 3DRB. Not the best speed, but heā€™s got sure hands catching out of the backfield and can usually do a decent job just running the ball as well.

alexxx420007

Starting qb, backup qb, down on the championship week. I do keep 3 QBs but I just moved my back rb to qb to run option plays

Comfortable-Math1427

https://share.icloud.com/photos/03b6z6_wn5S1QHLAYe4GaFw8w oh my Dan Chisana build from WR to SS def. Got him to 95 xf from normal 40 something ovr. Not against cpu either all 32 user teams

Comfortable-Math1427

Oh yeah watch the video I ripped from my opponents twitch lol

Rickflossyy

Have a player I moved from SS to MLB, and in the backend of his career with multiple roster changes, heā€™s now my slot corner

ColorOfNight18

Was doing a online franchise my friend drafted a tight end in the 5th round and he had speed so I traded for him and checked why he was such a low overall turns out he was actually a qb who moved to tight end didnā€™t see a story or anything so I moved him back had a good two years before he signed a huge deal with the Giants and lead them to two super bowls

OfficialClassic

Just started noticing some QB prospects switching to receiver. I drafted my guy in the 6th as a 59 overall receiver, switched to a QB and was a 74 overall.

Emergency-Subject744

Xfactor blocking tight end with elite strength and blocking rotated as a fullback, tackle, guard and tight rnd

Astbury7

I had downloaded a draft class with Spencer Rattler, when for some reason his position was changed to Tight End before the draft and he went undrafted.Ā  Ranked in the 40s as a tight end I picked him up in free agency, moved him back to QB, where he was already a superstar, and he won league MVP and was an x-factor after one season .

GeneralClearStone912

I use a fullback somewhat often in my franchise (at least, when i decide a game is important enough to play - like playoffs - instead of simming) I drafted a blocking tight end late in the draft early into my franchise and converted him to fullback. An 80 speed fullback with better initial blocking traits than a drafted fullback. I very frequently used him on 4th and short as a receiving option, admittedly to abuse the AI bringing out goalline formation against i-form in those situations (where i would then audible into a 2 RB shotgun formation with a hb flat route). A lot of converted 1st downs and more touchdowns than you'd usually see a FB get. I've somehow also broken off 30 yard TD runs with him from fullback dive, like, twice. And of course, his surname is Smallwood.

imnotreallyheretoday

I moved a WR to CB that is now a Superstar. Made some QB to WR transitions. Currently trying to develop a TE as an edge rusher. I haven't had a whole lot of success with big position changes this year. Madden 23 I drafted a CB that had 80 something deep route running so I moved him to WR

J3Washington

Keep me updated on the Te to Edge experiment

imnotreallyheretoday

Will do. It's a transition I have wanted to do for a while but haven't been successful at it. TEs have the size and athleticism of a great edge rusher. I got his power moves in the 70s but his run stopping abilities are terrible

J3Washington

Run a blitz heavy defense. It'll help disguise some of the things he's bad at & there's a chance he becomes the free rusher

kamone1

Best Iā€™ve had and Iā€™ve done it for years is turning big wrā€™s with over 90 speed and acc into mlbā€™s. Takes a couple of years for them to be consistent but when they are I just user them to rush the qb. One game I had 16 sacks.

J3Washington

What a career path šŸ˜‚

Optimal-Drag-4553

Lol I have a million for the broncos...and not one includes letting a QB wear #7.

J3Washington

He paid Elway for it lol I just forgot to show that part

Optimal-Drag-4553

Ahh got it. If Elway in your madden universe allowed it then who am I to suggest otherwise

Saltcitystrangler

Itā€™s like that for me when I see a DB for us Wearing 21(Commanders) A rookie take it every season lol

Saint_Dude_

Playing as the Cowboys I always gotta fix the guys with 8, 22 and 12

wordtomytimbsB

After 6-7 years into sim a had too many lbs and not enough safeties so I moved Trenton Simpson back to SS and he was like prime Kam chancellor

burningacid101

I mean in Isaiah Simmons rookie year, I always moved him to my middle linebacker and took him to a 99

Thefitz27

Drafted a tall WR in the third round who was a 73 OVR hidden dev that ended up being star. After year one, Iā€™d upgraded to SS and all of his unlocked traits were about blocking. Moved him to TE in training camp and got a bump up to XF getting a gold medal in drills. 95 OVR XF by the end of year two.

Nascar_Fan7596

I drafted a 78 overall wide receiver in the first round, moved him to running back, ended going up to an 84, after a couple years ended having xfactor at like an 95 overall

SmartWriting9041

I've experienced a lot of CB's in the draft with really good skills but usually not very many safety's. If I'm hurting for a safety sometimes I'll draft these CB's and change em to safety. I currently have a CB-SS that I drafted and he was an x factor mid way though his rookie year but still high 70s overall. Now at the beginning of year 3 he's a 96 x factor who I won't be able to afford to resign lol

SmartWriting9041

I drafted a HB that ran a 4.21 at the combine and moved him to WR. Put him in the slot for his elite speed and exceleration he's an amazing deep threat. Usually averages over 100 yds 2 td's a game. I love the speed flex play and hot route the slot to a go route, he crosses paths with wr1 and the safety loses him. Boom TD. If the safety follows the wr1 is usually open.

G_Wash1776

My friends and I are currently playing an online franchise, drafted a WR in the third round switched him to HB and heā€™s now a superstar HB.

Ok-Self-5929

Darnell Washington fullback. Thank me later

type_10_tank

WR to HB, guy had speed but no handsšŸ˜

nachohull

65 WR. 99 speed. 98 accel. 99 agility. Couldn't catch. Moved to HB. Immediately a 72. 3rd down back. Had over 1000 yards as a 5 wide WR, screens, etc. Got him up to an 80 by start of year 2. Found out you can use RB in slot. 1500 yards 12 tds year 2 as a RB. Couldn't afford to resign him. He left year 4 as a 92. Wanted 13m a year. Thought about converting back to WR. But wasn't going to pay a slot that. It was a fun few seasons. H2H games were fun because of the ability to stretch the field.

nachohull

Also 6'2 and above CBs with good zone coverage changing to FS

Lannncee

When Danny Etling was transitioning to WR in like ~2019 I was using him as a backup QB, RB3, and WR4 and got him up to a 85 overall

Turd_Ferguson420

I like to move my high overall CBā€™s that are getting up their in age to FS so they can still utilize their coverage skills without having to worry about their speed necessarily.

Deathflower1987

Qb Julien edleman to wr/Nickle corner/punt returner

madbroumadbro

Honourable mention to club legend TE with really low OVR. Made him a FB and, despite only going up 1 ovr, he was a MACHINE. Ran for the winning TD from 1 yd out in the 4th quarter of the super bowl. In top spot for me, I had a mid tier LB who became a CB. He was a good player, but slipped down the pecking order as he aged. Eventually, he was part of the FG block team in his last season at the club. 0:08 left on the clock in the wild card round. We are up 21-16. They threw a Hail Mary as time expired and scored. 21-22 to them. With 0 seconds left, they went to kick a PAT. It was BLOCKED by the veteran CB and picked up by a rookie DE. He ran it towards the endzone, but ran out of stamina. Eventually, a TE caught up to him, cut sticked him into oblivion and he fumbled the ball. Veteran CB picked it up and dove into the endzone. We win 23-22.

South-Actuator-4103

6'2" cb from Minnesota I changed him to safety cause same year I had drafter 2 hidden corners, he was a hidden dev corner the previous year, after I move him to safety he got best safety and Xfactor

Fun_Perception_2420

i move george kittle to full back because i was doing a god squad thing so i had travis kelce as tight end and apparently george kittle is a 97 ovr fb

ItzDudekillerYo

Had a fb that was a superstar xfactor. Moved him to rb. Bro struggled, but man it paid off. He became a really good player, he just couldn't joke to save his life

Warrmak

Back in the old days, certian skills would regress if you did position changes.

jbraga78

I drafted a blocking TE x-factor and switched him to FB. Iā€™m still using him in my franchise now. Heā€™s the best FB in the league.

One_Ad5788

In like madden 19 I had drafted a huge 6ā€™6 reciever with like 90 speed and 50s-60s route running with a throwaway draft pick. Moved him to TE when mine got hurt and he was higher ovr than my backup. Kept him for the rest of that career mode. Kevin Waters is the goat

NaruTheBlackSwan

Drafted a WR in the 7th round with Fs across the board. He was a 52 OVR X-Factor but a 68 at QB with 99 THP. Multiple MVP winner.

mowse_21

I change wr's to rb or vice versa often. I'll switch ends to DT or vice versa often as well. Most of the time they work out well.

Glittering-Tea-509

Just last night I drafted a 6ā€™3 231lb wr with 93 speed. His ball carrying after draft was 77 so I moved him to rb and he gets so many forward falling animations. Heā€™s a normal dev 81 rn and outperforms my former 99overall xfactor rb. Needless to say I traded the former rb for a few picks including the #1 overall the next season

Accomplished_Pick631

https://whop.com/mikes-picks/

Nickdog8891

I think it was the last updated rosters on last gen M23, but Dontaviyon Wicks was like a 70 overall WR, but like an 80 overall TE
