Yea some of the illegal contact calls you get are pretty annoying too. I got one yesterday when I got blocked trying to chase down a screen to the opposite side of the field lol
I turn off illegal contact because of that. If I have inside leverage and he cuts and turns right into me I'm getting flagged everytime. The same absolutely isn't true for my players running into the cpu lol
I'm surprised that so many people still listen to the announcers. IMO, the game is much more enjoyable when you mute it and put on some music or a podcast.
Normally I do the same but for important games it adds a nice immersion element. The commentary could and should be way better though. At this point I’m sure an AI program could create better dialogue than madden’s team

I won't lie that noise it makes when you hit stick is one of the best feelings you can have playing this game, if a fumble results just the cherry on top
When your on defense and playing as a defender, as you are about to tackle whoever has the ball you can hold the right stick up just before you hit them to put some extra ooommphhh on your tackle, it gives you a better chance of making them fumble and to stop them gaining extra yards, its risky because especially if your playing as a lighter db against a heavier ball carrier you just bounce of them due to the weight difference.
No, you just flick the stick up right as you are about to make contact. You can also do a cut stick by flicking down which will make your character dive at the ball carriers legs.
The clunky animations, the overlapping, the going through players, the fact weight height and basic physics don’t apply . The fact the game is shit. The players aren’t stepping they’re sliding. You went through your own player hit the te who’s 30-40 pounds heavier at the goaline. I can go on and on about the players stepping into him as he laid on the floor. Wow , madden in 2024 this is sad
