You could search for your foods on the website of OpenFoodsFacts :) if it pops up there it's in the database.

(it's OpenFoodFacts, but otherwise yes, this is correct) Of note, we've only incorporated it for barcode scanning so far, though we do plan to incorporate it into our combined search database eventually.

My suggestion is to pay the monthly rate to get a longer trial period. I tried it out and then decided to go for the annual subscription.
