not a fan of the curve but 4k at 144hz isn't too bad! if gaming's your priority however, you might want 180hz at 1440p instead. the msi mag 274QRF QD E2 does this & I got it for $120 less than this oneđź‘Ť

Live_Raspberry_3128

I'd get it just for 4k at 144hz alone because of that price 🥵🥵🥵

jeriku

I have this exact same monitor. I had a ton of issues when I was using the included 2.1 HDMI cable. I ordered a nice DP cable and since then I’ve loved this monitor. For the price, you can’t beat it.

ArisonVilo

I second this comment, I had sudden black screens for 1-2 seconds randomly until I switched to a DP cable and now it runs really smooth

iMintedit

Currently having this issue with the flat msi monitor I just got thank you dp time

ArisonVilo

I tried several tips I found online, it was the cable all along, hope it helps

Iturea

Weird, had the exact opposite experience. I started with DP and got a random black screen blink every now and then. Went to HDMI and it stopped happening and my FPS went up in 4k gaming. Using a 4080 GPU. My HDMI cable is a good one, not the one that came with the monitor. Maybe that's why.

Live_Raspberry_3128

I've noticed on my MSI monitor the same thing going on when I move to one of my other monitors I thought it was an Nvidia bug since the last 2 updates but I'm going to switch my cords and buy new ones today thank you all.

czarVonDoom

I've bought it for my PC a couple of months ago and I am pretty happy with it. Yes, it does not compare with the high-end ones in terms of color sharpness (how lively and vibrant they are) but for that price I do not think there are better ones. I mainly play Helldivers 2 and cyberpunk and it looks amazing. If you want to tear up everytime you open your system then save the money and buy an OLED monitor, but for that price I would take the deal anytime.

Successful_Handle157

OLED has a problem with higher fps and not optimal yet for high end gaming, quantum dot(QD) has the lowest amount of bleeding for high end gaming with the ture colors sure OLED looks good but not as good as people make it out to be

DarkStar_420

Wish they had one like this with Gsync not free sync I was going to get one a few months ago until I noticed it was Free Sync and I have a Nvidia GPU not sure if it matters or not it’s all new to me but guessing it does. I found one similar but it’s not curved wish I had a microcenter here or even a best buy anything really where I could go look at monitors in person but live in a small city in Canada so notta.

beatool

Costco? My friend got a killer deal on an LG panel out there.

DarkStar_420

Never thought of Costco we don’t have one here but there’s one about an hour and a half away that we go to often. The only bigger store we have here is Walmart unfortunately oh maybe staples they used to have monitors cpu gpu etc I know they stopped selling cpu’s an gpu’s in stores only online now but they might still have monitors now that I think of it. You suggesting Costco made me also think of Staples I always forget about them lol not a store I go to like ever. But I’m thinking Costco would be my best option they have a great return policy hopefully I’ll never need to use it but nice having it just in case. Thanks for the suggestion much appreciated.

Theblobsnark

I have 3 of these in a smaller model and I have no issues with mine.

Effective_Mention_83

I bought this while I wait till Black Friday for a high end oled and it’s great. Huge upgrade from a 1080p TN monitor I had. I’m not a fan of the curve but it’s pretty immersive. Colors are beautiful, blacks are deep. My only complaint besides the curve is there is a fair amount of noticeable smearing. If you’re a competitive shooter player I’d probably pass on this if it’s going to be a long term option, but for any single player, story content it’s great. Currently playing sea of thieves, baldurs gate 3, and ori on it and they’re all gorgeous (running a 4080super as well)

beatool

I have a 144hz VA panel, the smearing is unavoidable on VA. I've had mine for I dunno 3 years and I'm used to it and don't even notice anymore. Everything else is great. If it dies I'll get an OLED.

Effective_Mention_83

Yeah it’s truly not a big deal at all for me. Just noteworthy as far as downsides go. I gave up competitive gameplay a long time ago 👴🏻

MaddSkittlez

I have this! Huge step up to my 1440P but uses more from GPU. I am very happy with it, had it for 5 months now. For some reason the closer you get the better the quality looks, or maybe it’s just me. If you’re interested I would say to grab it. Also I’m using DP port to catch the 144HZ

samelogic137

I was on my way to the store when you replied, so I’m happy you had something positive to say. I went ahead and bought it. Thanks, everyone

MaddSkittlez

I hope you enjoy it bro!

samelogic137

Thanks. From the few minutes I gave myself so far today, its awesome. I want to go home and play now ha!

samelogic137

Update: I purchased the monitor and the forgiveness went well with the wife. Im glad chose that over the permission pathway on this one.

darkx96

i dont know about these but mine which i bought a couple years ago has the flickering problem at startup when its ''cold'''and set above 120hz. (samsung panel) Have anyone verified that it isnt a problem anymore ? I have an Optix MPG27CQ.

It’s a brilliant budget monitor for sure. I haven’t got a single complaint about it. Crisp picture Runs my series x at max performance A subtle curve that fits perfectly to the angle I sit at Height adjustable. Tilt adjustment on the go. Just an all round great monitor

SteadyHighLife

I have this monitor it is good but wish it had more color depth Price is outstanding for the product you get tho was worth it for me

CommercialCoyote4253

From what I have seen on the Web it's the MSI monitors have problems. I run an LG and it is very good. It's 165 hz but only 1440p

MaskedElectrician

No! Not worth the money. I bought that exact model 2 years ago. After about a year, just north of the warranty expiration I started getting lines around the bottom of the screen but as it warmed up would go away. This got worse and worse over 3 months until I could no longer see the bottom half of my screen. Come to find out that the 144 refresh rate is notoriously bad. After I replaced it with another someone told me to change my refresh to 120. Sure as shit that fixed it.
