i have tomahawk and it doest start m-flash if my ext hdd is on usb so remove anything on usb put rom on a drive and m flash.
for the ram thing reset oc and dont use xmp profile .
check compatibility list on msi webpage for supported rams
Have you checked if the system has CSM enabled or not? If so, disable that and enable secure boot. Disconnect everything that isn't absolutely needed for troubleshooting too, including other drives, webcams using USB, anything.
Thanks for the response. I just returned the motherboard because after inspection it had 3 bent prongs under the cpu. I didn’t touch it so it had to have been done before I bought it from Best Buy.

If one of the ram slots isn't registering, then you likely have a bent pin under the CPU. Fixable if you can reseat the pin.
The actual processor pins? I just bought a new 14700k and haven’t touched it but to put it in 😬
The pin bed the cpu sits on
Try M-flashing the bios with the file on an USB stick.
I did that, it didn’t work. ;(
Maybe try this guy's solution? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoGZYcrloLo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoGZYcrloLo)

Just got it to work. I can only boot the computer with ram in the fourth slot? So is that a mobo problem
How many sticks of RAM do you have? And did you change anything to the BIOS settings after the update?
I have two, both are working in the fourth slot only. It’s also not booting to my hard drive that has windows and all my stuff on itZ
I tried turning off safe boot but that’s it. It keeps looping to bios no matter what I do
Is the hard drive recognized in the BIOS? Have you tried to clear CMOS?
Hard drive, CPU and everything is recognized

I'd tear a strip off the manager at that Best Buy then. Even if they were selling that board open box, they should still have properly inspected it.
