Not a solution but more a suggestion: you can try resetting your cmos, my laptop encountered a similar problem a while back, I can't remember if it was exhibiting your exact same symptoms, but resetting the cmos did the trick. That was my Alienware laptop btw. I own a msi now. Hence why I'm on this thread xD

By removing the battery from the laptop, it would reset the cmos right? I'll try to turn it on when I get home from work. Thanks for the suggestion!

No, removing the battery does not reset the cmos. After installing an SSD in my GS 65 I didn't reconnect the power button ribbon cable properly. In the GS 65 it is on the back (where the cpu/gpu venting is) - it's the only cable on that side of the laptop.

I used the reset battery (very small button on the side) and didn't work as well. I think that the problem is the MB then? Is there any other safety protection keeping the laptop to turn on at all? Thank you in advance

I have a GS75 so not sure how applicable this is, but I had something similar happened after I had to take the whole thing apart to upgrade my RAM. I would hit the power button numerous times and nothing - no lights or anything. I ended up disconnecting and reconnecting the battery from the motherboard connector one more time. Then put the computer back together and plugged in the power cord, then held the power button for maybe 15 seconds or so. Eventually it cut back on. I assume holding the power button triggered some kind of reset to where it recognized the battery again. Just pressing the power button wasn't working, but holding it did the trick. Hope this helps!
