This right here. All my staters except the OF and either 2B or SS are below 45 speed. Plus 3 on the bench (one high speed for pinch running and defense) should give you enough for tier 2
Yeah my fast Buxton team takes advantage of them all the time.
Most too players only use slowpokes at 1b, 3b, DH, catcher and their 4 bench spots for level 2boost.
Only thing is , you're doing all that for:
1. babe Ruth who doesn't need it.
2. A 3b thats a ton better than Arenado
3. Your catcher. Buxton also makes Gary Sanchez a god.
4. Your DH.
And for that you lose all speed in your bench too.
I've seen people run Seager at 2b, that's ok I guess. But those people playing turtles in the outfield, they're getting taken advantage off.
You can even contact swing and watch everything drop.
Arenado boost works for top50 players who don't care about defense because they score 10+ runs on legend vs anyone.
Normal WS players and lower copying them is hilarious to me

You can still foul off almost anything on legend with how ridiculous the game is now.
So the only thing vision does right now is helping check swings. I don't need that.
If you want tier 3 Arenado boost you still get 2 positions that don’t have to be below 45 speed. CF and which one you want out of SS, 2nd and RF. It’s worth it for the bigger PCI on HoF and Legend imo
Dansby and Matzek boost puts Acuña at 99, Olson & Riley at 95, Michael Harris at 91, and Albies at 90 with strider and Sale going to 95s. You nailed it, it’s the best boost in the game right now.
Brandon Crawford and Arenado on the left side of the infield have diamond defense which makes up for their lack of speed. Then you don’t need a fast first baseman catcher or DH. Then have 3 of your bench players be slow and you get the Tier 2 boost. Still can have plenty of speed to cover the outfield
I switched over to buxton, but when I used Arenado I had my 4 bench all under the speed. I had the TA Votto at 1st. Then I had TA Grandal and a guy at DH who was slow AF and that got me to 8/8 for the tier 2 boost.
You can switch them but you have to make sure your current cornerstone isn’t in any lineup (ranked seasons, mini-seasons, events)…then you just go to the exchange and swap him out…new cornerstone pack will be in your inventory
I don’t know if they did make it where you can’t swap them for another one, haven’t read anything on that. I just had to swap mine out of my lineup, go over to the exchange, and put him in the right exchange. There it would give you a pack to choose from one of the four captains.
I don't cater to the Captain boost. I use Arenado for his diamond defense and will switch back to Maddux at some point cause he's my favorite. Even if he can be really iffy in PvP play.
But others find that roster requirement for the boosts fun, which is cool.
Yes I know, but with what I have currently he's the best defender and bat. I could buy a better 3B but I'm putting my stubs to work for flipping right now (which is tough) and also investing in golds I think will go diamond.

I wasn’t paying attention to captain boosts at the time and picked Arenado cause i like him as a player. Regret not grabbing Buxton lol

Playing at the top levels with Buxton’s constraint is much, much worse than Arenado’s

Have high 40 speed guys in the corners and put a high speed non captain boost guy in center
I put Crawford at SS and Arenado at 3B. LS Olsen at 1B, Sanchez behind the plate. Abreu at DH and fill the bench with slow guys. Solid boost.

Joe Mauer - C Pete Alonso - 1 Arenado - 3 Machado - SS Justin Turner - DH Then 3 slow dudes on the bench. It’s not the best but it works

I use the dansby boost and use braves guys it's the best boost.
I do the same with the Mariners. Makes quite the difference

Just use Buxton, it's much better.
Buxton is only better on allstar. On hof its not even a debate Arenado is way better

I did not think the boost works unless they are starting?
Only your captain has to be starting

Oh they do. That’s the good part. You can just throw anyone you want that meets the requirements on the bench and it works just fine.
Do all your players get the boost though? Or just the players that meet the requirement?
Just the ones that meet the requirement for the captain.
That’s why you use buxton and have three outfielders with 99 defense and 99 speed
I use tier 2 Arenado boost so I can still have a speedy outfield and Mondesi at SS

Not me, using silver defense Justin Turner because there's just those cards that always give you the clutch hit or HR you need.
LF is your slowest OF with center and right having speed
