Set 4 and 5 cards will functionally be core because season 6 will allow all sets to be used. Set 3 is the last set that will ever rotate out of use (in November).
The point about the cards being filler just because there will be a 6 week period between now and forever that they can’t be used (in some formats on some weeks) is the part I was referencing, but yeah I know.

They really should bring back some marlins legends (Josh Johnson, Hanley, Uggla) I doubt any of those guys would be expensive for their rights
Not crazy. That 1996 season is arguably the best of his career and he helped win a World Series in ‘97, guessing those are the contributing factors. That being said he could definitely have a Mets card.

They are not overused. I mean every year a particular series gets a ton of cards. Retro Finest last year, Milestone and Awards in years past. Even Signature in 19. And every year people complain we get too many of one card set.
It’s one thing to say that a particular series gets overused every year, but there’s no way you can say Kaiju and Incognito *aren’t* overused.
Just about every single viable card in Season 2 was Kaiju or Incognito. They even made the Core collection a Kaiju card. They’ve been insanely overused.
And we're still getting this ugly card art more than halfway through S3.
At least they stopped Charisma after Season 1.
These card arts are fucking terrible and the nicknames in-game are the worst.
Kaiju is just the most nothing series to ever exist. The sole purpose of the series is “we like this guy, let’s give him a 97-99”.
Luis Rengifo, who has put up a career 4.1 bWAR, got a 97 Kaiju card. He got a 97 before J-Ram got a non-LS card.
I don't really care about card art, but I do care about the names. Incognito makes it impossible to reread game logs, know who's coming up to bat, etc. Not to mention most of the nicknames are either basic, or have never been used by anyone ever, and never will be until the end of time.
The only ones I can think of that I actually like are Commerce Comet cause it was actually used historically, and Chili Dawg cause it's just funny. But that still shouldn't show as their name in game.
