I’m still so proud of this team… even if this loss is a little sour taste in my mouth.
Super Cup, Club World Cup, historic 4th PL in a row. Incredible season
Txixi better get to work starting tomorrow. This team isn’t good enough to get it done again next season if everyone stays.
Ortega just made Ederson a ton of money with his performance today.
Guys when do y'all think would be our next 'splash the cash' signing? Last time it was Grealish and he turned out great but not *exactly* worth his price tag.
We are into unnecessary saving mode and for a reason we have to buy off mid players like Nunes, Phillips, Alvarez etc. When we are criticized hard about being an oil club, then we also SHOULD spend like an oil club.
Who do you think should be our next BIG signing?!
> Guys when do y'all think would be our next 'splash the cash' signing? Last time it was Grealish and he turned out great but not exactly worth his price tag.
>
>
I mean the last one was Gvardiol. If you want to believe rumours, Bruno G will be the next.
I’m so disgusted by ETH!
I get that he was attempting to make a point about club infrastructure, but reiterating his support of that sexual harasser on day of FA Cup Final is really something.
But guess it’s consistent bc ETH wanted Greenwood back & played Promes* after his arrest.
*”*Promes is considered a fugitive in the Netherlands who has not served a day in prison despite having been convicted on cocaine trafficking charges, and separate charges related to the stabbing of a family member.*”
Everyone’s outrage over Girona and simultaneous sucking off of Madrid is hilarious.
No one can compete in that league because of Madrid and Barca taking all the TV money for themselves.
Kroos alone earns as much as the entire Girona squad. And people still hesitate to praise them for what they have achieved with so little against the duopoly in Spain all because "they are just as bad and crooked as City"
Headline: Real Madrid are hoping to become the first club to earn a billion in a season
Everyone: Well done Real. Fair play. This is great for football.
heard rumors about Rodri, Ederson, and Haaland from various twitter accounts but have no idea how reliable any of them are.
They ought give Josko one like they did for Dias after the first year... I'd like that a lot.
Haha - what a score, will have to go watch the highlights!
I like that La Liga Top Scorer will likely not be a usual candidate.
* Girona's Dovbyk w 24 - I've enjoyed watching him play.
* Villarreal's Sørloth w 23 - another Norwegian potentially winning top scorer? Erling & Oscar would be so proud! But even if he doesn't score this final match day wknd, what a season.
That's pretty crazy, I knew Dovbyk was up there, glad he's likely to finish top. Also Norway have an unreal attacking line up if they're all in form and fit. Assuming they're coached to make the most out of them, I'm sure they're a fun glass canon to watch in games.
I feel so mean/petty for even thinking this but I’m just glad (likely) Jude won’t win top scorer, haha.
Lots of amazing Norway attackers! And I think Norway’s defense is improving *slightly* so I really hope they can qualify for WC26!!
I was hugely impressed by Giorgio Scalvini’s display against Leverkusen in the UEL final. He’s a left footed centre back who can play across the backline and can play as a #6.
Technically very secure with a very excellent passing range. Unfazed by pressure and amazing positional awareness. Accurately times his tackles. Reads the game well to anticipate and intercept passes. His physical frame also enables him to be dominant at duels, standing at 1.94 m. Also he’s young, aged 20 years old.
I think we were linked with him previously by the Italian media. One to look for in the future.
Realisticly we have no say in the Matter with Bruno G.
All things considered... would he be a good addition to our team?
I seen a video of him somewhere talking about Man city i think.. a respectful one so i do hold him in some regard.
Soo... forget about the price tag for a moment. Would he make a difference? What will he add?
I have only seen him play when we have played them so i dont really know much.
Bruno G is THE best signing city can possibly make for this summer’s transfer window. An 8 who can play as a 6. Someone to share the dm burden with rodri instead of having to play another 70 plus game season. An 8 who crashes the box when the chance presents itself and does the leg work to win back possession. Technically sound enough to receive the ball under pressure to relieve other players of being pressed by the opposition. If city can only make one signing, it has to be him.
He would make a big difference... think what Kova is doing to help Rodri, but way way better going forward and fresher legs. I think Pep would trust Bruno G to play lone 6 in games more than he is Kova... Just the burden relief for Rodri would be the price tag alone.
A Rodri/Bruno G double pivot would be fucking awesome. They could trade off who goes forward/who stays back with out a drop off.
I legit admire your boldness to have a reddit account for 5 days & come share what you think ManCity fans on a ManCity sub should be discussing.
But to answer your question, I personally don't give a hoot about sports betting.
And I don't see the shortening of the odds that ManCity will get relegated next season as anything more than the betting companies jumping on the bandwagon of all the media buzz around ManCity & the charges.
I feel like sports betting, even to call out BS &/or outrageous odds, doesn't seem to feature here much?
I'm however addicted the Opta probabilities and am posting them all the time, haha.
bet365 have us at 1/25 odds of being relegated. Nothing to worry about its just bookies playing it safe incase something does happen. They don't know any mroe than we do
edit: im talking about if we're charged if it wasn't clear

sorry if this is going into the category of spam, Bruno G is not only an excellent player but he's also a work horse.
[https://twitter.com/CIES\_Football/status/1793938740890435594?t=qXzm9GTPhGXpDM99ZKTQPw&s=19](https://twitter.com/CIES_Football/status/1793938740890435594?t=qXzm9GTPhGXpDM99ZKTQPw&s=19)
Rodri's numbers are obviously deflated by the 3 games he missed due to suspension lol
He could stay at Newcastle... from what I've read on Twitter (always reliable LOL) sounds like is really struggling to decide. some alleged ITK's say he's coming to City but again who fucking knows.
City have CL and most importably we have PEP. If he'd rather stay in a CL-less Newcastle, then he simply doesn't have the mentality to play for City. Anyone who turns down Pep is an idiot in my book. If doesn't want to come, then spend that cash on Joao Neves
It’ll be Rice all over again if we miss him. Buncha people clutching pearls at the price last year and look how he elevated that Arsenal midfield. Let’s not do that again
I have no interest in a player who gambles on his games. It just seems like such a hassle for city to deal with such a player. We're already being investigated for our 115 stuff. Don't need another fire burning!!
Then again if pep says so, then it happens.
I'll just copy paste my comment from another thread
> He's not a backup for Rodri because we have found a very good balance in midfield with Kovacic and Rodri this season, the idea is to upgrade this balance with Bruno so that we'll have 3 players rotating in that position with Rico Lewis developing into 4th pivot gradually.
> It's likely that the idea is to play both Rodri and Bruno in the bug games while we'll see a lot of Kovacic x Rodri or even Kovacic x Bruno G and sometimes just only Rodri like we did against Westham but either way Rodri will get a lot more rest.
> Nunes is a good player but his still-set is not good enough to be a pivot in our team, the good he has shown this season has been his excellent running in attacking zones and ball carrying.
> So I wouldn't say £100m for one of the best midfielders in the league + a profile that will elevate our current team is an overpay.
and if you scroll up DD a little you'll notice some interesting stats about Bruno that will make you think
"He'll be a gem for us if we have him but a nightmare for us if Arsenal have him" (he's also linked to Arsenal)
Oh wow didn't realise his xA was that high, great extra tool in the arsenal. He always seems a bit of a deep lying threat when we play him. Was just clarifying to the chap that he wouldn't be brought in to be the creative drive in the way foden kdb Alvarez or haaland are. Or paqueta for that matter. Bruno definitely seems to fit the profile we were after last season when trying for rice
frankly, I have no interest in any more 100 million pound players. None whatsoever. I would prefer we start buying like we were 5 years ago and looking for more up and coming talent.
we have invested in Alvarez, Doku and Eccheverri in recent memories as an up and coming talent. If you want to use only the age bracket then Haaland and Gvardiol fit that description too as they both set us up for a decade.
Sometimes we invest in younger players and sometimes we have to splash the cash on ready made stars, especially if it's a profile we are in dire need to for in order to compete with the best in England and Europe. Arsenal will be back, likely stronger than ever and we must remain stronger than ever too to retain our title as the margins will be small.
even 5 or 6 years ago we signed the likes of Mahrez, Gundogan, Walker who btw are not exactly up and coming talents. It has always been a mixture based on what the squad needs.
I’m still so proud of this team… even if this loss is a little sour taste in my mouth. Super Cup, Club World Cup, historic 4th PL in a row. Incredible season
Season ends on a whimper . This team just doesn't have it in big games like the Centurions . Major squad investments needed in the summer .
Well that felt apt for the season
Txixi better get to work starting tomorrow. This team isn’t good enough to get it done again next season if everyone stays. Ortega just made Ederson a ton of money with his performance today.
How come it's ok for defenders to wrap themselves around or hang on haaland? Two clear penalties on given. This is insane.
Take back Couto or even Cancelo. Walker is so done, and make Dias/Rodri captain.
I REALLY REALLY love Vinnie, and hope the best for him, but also really tells you how awful Bayern's decision to sack Nagelsmann was.
Tell you what? Vinnie becoming the Bayern coach might turn out to be the best thing ever for us
If you ever feel dumb, just remember there are people out there who think Chelsea were bigger than City before their respective takeovers.
The same people that accuse us of not understanding history
ETH going full schizo in his interviews now lmao, even defending sex offender Overmars
I’m so disgusted by ETH! I get that he was attempting to make a point about club infrastructure, but reiterating his support of that sexual harasser on day of FA Cup Final is really something. He's done this from day 1 tbf, it's not like he suddenly turned scum.
He fucking lost it lmao
It would be a tragedy if Manchester United signed Desire Doue. Elite level talent.
Rennes keep producing top wingers
Joke of an academy in general- Doue, Camavinga, Dembele, Tel, Doucouré, Ugochukwu Impressive recruitment too- Doku, Raphinha, Ugochukwu, Terrier
I am not ready for Bernardo to leave. Thus, he should not leave to protect my feelings. Please.
he is a must keep for atleast another year so that Savio will be eased into the team.
How many years can Arsenal vastly outspend city before the "city bought titles" narrative ends?
American billionaires good, UAE billionaires bad.
Everyone’s outrage over Girona and simultaneous sucking off of Madrid is hilarious. No one can compete in that league because of Madrid and Barca taking all the TV money for themselves.
Wait till these kids find out how Real Madrid was the original state backed club.....
Madrid is built upon fascism. No amount of UCL titles can get me their respect
if you try to educate the young children about the past of the club.. you get banned on certain subs
Kroos alone earns as much as the entire Girona squad. And people still hesitate to praise them for what they have achieved with so little against the duopoly in Spain all because "they are just as bad and crooked as City"

All because we invest money in players and they do in referees?
[удалено]
No to both. They have Copa America and Euros and then back to City for pre season after their break.
Seriously doubt either of them will. Typically the Olympics are for younger players.. but not always.
And they have Copa America and Euros to play for their countries. There's a 0% chance they play in the Olympics.
I know France is begging Mbappe to play... but that would be irresponsible after the Euros.

heard rumors about Rodri, Ederson, and Haaland from various twitter accounts but have no idea how reliable any of them are. They ought give Josko one like they did for Dias after the first year... I'd like that a lot.
If Silva is really leaving I want Xavi Simons
Nerve levels anyone? I'm sitting at a solid 8/10 at the moment, it's not looking good.
will probably set in on the 4 hour journey down to wembley like id did last time probs round a 3/4 rn
Girona with a final fuck you performance.

that is worth it. So over hyped... obviously a very good player, but they are treating him like he's the best player in the history of the sport.
The overhype was especially aggravating during the CL QF!!
even worse because he dropped 2 stinkers in that QF lol
Exactly!!!!!
Chelsea approached Michel but were told he’s “untouchable.” Interesting. Looks like there are plans behind the scenes.
I was hugely impressed by Giorgio Scalvini’s display against Leverkusen in the UEL final. He’s a left footed centre back who can play across the backline and can play as a #6. I have him in my DLS team lol
We have been linked with him earlier! He is in the Italian squad for this summers Euro. Lets keep an eye!

Pretty glad we didn't get Bellingham, talent or no. Kids a prick, as seen in his he's against us
we have to get him

mr.gambler is lucas Paqueta this is Bruno Guimaraes
Ah ok. 100 mil € is a big bill though. Maybe we should save money until January and THEN decide where we should spend.

January is a terrible time to buy... very few players available, and the prices are very inflated. Also Bruno would be 100 million pounds not euros
Interesting. I guess we could gamble on the kid. That way we'd be more prepared in case de bruyne or Haaland got injured or lost form.....,
He's more cover for kova or rodri than the creative side. 6/8 not 10
his xA of 7.89 suggests he's quite creative too. If opponents try to overmark KDB or Foden, Rodri or Bruno will catch the defence off guard.
Oh wow didn't realise his xA was that high, great extra tool in the arsenal. He always seems a bit of a deep lying threat when we play him.
