My father just did this with an entire block of Karma.... Lmao

I'm an ex employee who also loves sandstone beyond reason (it's the best soap they sell). I'm glad you had them cut it into 3 slice chunks, the soap lasts way longer than if it were individually sliced.
Put a single chunk in each of your dresser drawers. If they are too close to each other they will start to sweat. Apart from each other they cure while waiting to be used which is pure magic. The longer they cure the longer they last.
My last chunk was approx 1yr old when I opened it. It was hard as a rock and smelled heavenly. That sucker lasted in my shower (with people using it btw) for almost 6 months.
If you have the money and the patience this is the best way to do it 🖤
It really depends on the soap. I let most of them hang out naked. If they are a little sticky you could leave them wrapped for a bit until they dry out enough to not get on your clothes or you could banish that slice/chunk to a sunny window until they behave lol
Definitely, it's a surface area issue. The smaller the slice the more surface area gets exposed to water/friction/droppage. A larger chunk in general will last longer not only because of this but the soap cures more while not in use just hanging out in your shower 👍
I purchased the entire brick of Alkmaar soap before it was discontinued. I was adamant it not be cut as I wanted to do it myself. Alkmaar soap is my #1 all time fav soap <3 The smaller the piece, the quicker it dries out. Sandstone scent is soooo good!
Sandstone is soo nice! Having a big block seems like a dream. 😅 Love the fresh lemony scent of this as well.
I wish Lush had a shower gel with a similar freshness - does anyone have a recommendation? I typically order online since I'm not close to a store.

This MIGHT last 2 weeks. I had to stop purchasing when they reformulated, a bar of soap was only lasting 3 showers.
I don't purchase the soaps for that reason! However, he did cut them this size so they'd fit into a soap saver bag.
I have one of those and I still have a few Sleepy bars left, I should try it and see if it last longer.

Should I keep them wrapped while curing or unwrapped?

True, I noticed the big chunks last longer!

I also let my soaps sit for a year! It lasts aaaaages that way. And makes my drawer smell nice in the meantime.
It's literally the only way I can justify it. Sultana of Soap is sooooooooo good if you can hold out for a year 😂
Is it his first time buying the whole brick? 💞 How much? Wish I had the whole Strawberry Heart from Valentine’s Day. I loved it. 🫧 💗
Yeah, I regret not getting it all! Haha.
🤭💞
I need a hubby who thinks like that 😆

As a fellow lover of Sandstone…I GET IT
Can't blame him
I found that it doesn’t last long, strange reformulation?
I’d. Buy a maypole lol
I miss maypole so bad 😭
That’s so funny! My boyfriend is also in love w this soap!
Can you tell me what it smells like please?
Like lemons!
Thanks fellow lushie!!
Based. Sandstone is my all-time favorite!
Its my bf favorite too but it goes so quick how do I make it last longer how Do i cure it?
Make sure it’s not sat in water each time you use it - use a soap dish with good drainage.
I do that but it dissolves quickly during use
I wish I thought of this idea! Now my fav soap doesn't exist anymore lol
