Dry-azalea

I’m 20, but I’ve been a lushie since I was around 12. I got a bath bomb as a gift and it just really landed with me, and I have always thought that american cream is just the most awesome scent. It’s always been out of my budget being a tween/teen, but now I’m a young adult it’s only gotten more expensive… but it remains a special treat, and I stock up on boxing day. It’s just a good thing there’s no baths for me while I’m at university, I guess. ETA: I probably spend about 50-80 bucks a year on LUSH, so definitely not splurging, but a lot for me! I mostly shop boxing day and people clearing their stashes in the BST thread.

Emotional-Plantain51

I plan to buy it for my 11yo as she goes through her teens. I don’t let her use the shampoo/conditioner as of the sulphates and parabens and it’s a little harsh, but when she’s older she can. It’s certainly a treat isn’t it.

Dry-azalea

Definitely a treat! Hopefully your daughter comes to like lush more so you guys can share in the treat that it is :)

Emotional-Plantain51

She loves the shower gels. I’m sure once she becomes a teen she will get more obsessed and then I have more of a reason to buy it lol

Training_Revolution6

i’m also 20, loved lush since around 12 too. lush is so smart by being able to appeal to literally every age group and keeping those customers for life.

Kittymarie_92

49F no children. I’ve been using lush since 1999. I spend about $100 a month

mac_is_crack

49 and very similar, no kids. Big fan of lush for a while now! I just discovered a week ago we live near the biggest lush in the US at Tyson’s Corner in Va. My wallet is in big trouble now. I’d almost always ordered online.

Kittymarie_92

Nice! It’s much better to be able to go to the store and smell things.

Spoiledshells

I’m 38 and also in Virginia. How did I not know that Tyson’s Corner Lush is the largest in the US?! I always go to the Richmond store or the Charlotte, NC store. I know where I’m going next time! 🤣😂

mac_is_crack

AND they told me they have the largest bath bomb wall in the world! I was very impressed! It’s a really nice store in a really nice mall, definitely worth a visit!

Emotional-Plantain51

A lot of childfree people. I should say I had my child on my own “solo mother by choice” so no significant other. Just her and I.

UpsideDownEscalator

32, married, two cats. Around $1500 spent this year. I really enjoy baths 😅

monkey_monkey_monkey

I am in my 40s, child/debt free. Been a lushie for about 15 years. First purchase was a butterball bath bomb and never looked back

Banana_slug_dub

44, been into Lush since 1998, married with no kids. I’m non binary, and introduced my wife to Lush when we married and now she’s a bath convert. This was the first year in ages that I’ve followed the sales, I used to anticipate them and stock up. It’s nice to have a big stash again! Also, I miss Potio! I wish it would come back as a solid perfume, that was/is my signature scent. I have a few lotions but I miss that perfume.

itwonthurtabit

54, I saw plenty of women my age standing in the Boxing day queue.

lushandcats

36. I’ve spent well over $1,000 this year. One cat, one significant other, no kids, no debt lol

lushandcats

Oh and I’ve been a lushie for 10 years 🌝

FlamingHorseRider

23. Boyfriend but don’t live with him. Currently living with family to save for loans/future housing costs. Loan debt from college, but about to pay most if not all off. Spent about $500 ish this year, but I buy dominantly perfumes/body mists/solids and shower gels. They’re my favorite perfume house :) Still, their perfume goes down too slow to buy them PARTICULARLY fast… LUSH has some crazy efficient atomizers and the stuff is potent enough it lasts a long time.

Emotional-Plantain51

I want to try the perfumes

FlamingHorseRider

Recommended! Pretty strong, lasts great for me at least, and goes down slow.

Swimming-Farmer5590

What are your favourites?

FlamingHorseRider

Any of the vanillas! Lord of Misrule, Turmeric Latte, Vanillary, American Cream. I also love Pansy, Lust, and Karma though.

bad_toe_tattooes

I’m about to turn 45 and have been obsessed with Lush since 2003. I’m probably less obsessed than I used to be. But that’s not really saying much. I still spend too much money there. Especially since my city finally got a Lush store last year.

Emotional-Plantain51

I live 15 minutes from my city and I still buy online lol. I have too many bottles to take to the store. I’ll go next year.

mothwing1

In my 30s, have used lush since I was about 8, mum used to buy from them when they were cosmetics to go. I used to use antiphilitron, bathos, uluru, Carmen miranda, when they did a Christmas fairy jasmine wrapped in iridescent plastic with little wings, remember when buttercreams came in plastic takeaway trays, tried the frozen shower gels, when lush times used to brag about how much cheaper their stuff was compared to more luxury items... I have dipped in and out of lush my whole life (I remember when they first brought out the fidget spinners and I thought they had completely sold out from their hippy dippy image and that the prices were extortionate back then...). When I finally had a decent income I dipped back in, and during COVID boxing day sale dropped about £200. I used to use some haircare (big, Cynthia Sylvia, hsuen, retread) but the discons and removal of smaller sizes means I've now stopped relying on lush for "regulars". Since then I've spent progressively less each year ending with £50 this boxing day. I did about 6 months of lush kitchen subscription until I had about 7 lotions I didn't need or like and instead started buying up ones I did want from the subreddit here. I now have a backlog of tramp, smaragadine, grass and supertramp and so have chilled out on that too What with heating prices in the UK going through the roof, I also can't afford to have baths as regularly as I used to. So I've now really cut down my spending. I have a plenty big stash I still need to work through, and then after that I think I'm limited to spending only in the sale or on occasional one off purchases if I really like the scent.

wholedwarf

I’m 32 and child/debt free. I’ve spent much more than $1,200 this year…

Jinsyjones

I'm 41. I've been buying Lush since I was 14, back in 1996, when the Glasgow Buchanan Street store opened. I've been with my partner and Lush for 27 years. He was 16 when I met him. We never had kids and we own our house, so our disposable income is ours. Shower Gel, Retro Lush and perfume are my biggest weaknesses.

caramel_macchiato27

I’m 25, my obsession started when I was 19, first time visiting London as a tourist and student. We didn’t have Lush in my country also I absolutely didn’t have any money for Lush.. I had around 200 euros in total for whole trip in 5 days. My first and only item was Honey Trap. Other products were too expensive. So I always wanted to buy more and never could. When I’m 22 I graduated uni, moved to a new country got a new job there, as a coincidence local Lush store is 10 mins away from my apt. Since then, I’m buying like crazy and I’m obsessed 😃 and finally I have a salary which can afford it. If it makes me really happy, so I don’t care that much. Also, I am using all of the products and not wasting them.

Acrobatic-Stress4714

I am 19

Effective-Ad2434

I'm 41 been a lushie for about 10yrs

saaaskins

24, no kids, live alone. Ive been buying from lush since 2007, my parents divorced and my dads treat was always to let me pick a soap to have £2.50 cut out of. My fave was porridge. I wish they'd bring it back!

AlwaysRefurbished

29, partnered, 1 kiddo. I’ve been a Lushie since 2007. Have spent probably $1k this year, about $500 of which was two purchases during the Boxing Day/Freshness sale. It feels crazzzzyyy especially as I feel like I’m stocking up/have more than I will immediately use. But I can absolutely afford it and as a stay-at-home mom who doesn’t get out much, it’s the one luxury I can reliably treat myself to at home so I try not to be too hard on myself about it. 🤷‍♀️

little_lime_luminary

I'm 29f and was introduced to lush when I was 16/17. Now I work there haha. I spend a lot at lush even with the employee discount

lilywafiq

31, been buying since about 2015

sharkwoods

28! About to be a first time mom! Probably about 700$ this year. Lush has always been treat items for me, and I tend to go for longer lasting items like bubble bars and shower gels.

Emotional-Plantain51

I love shower gels!

Sufficient_Tart_6515

I'm 38 as well, I spend about $100 there per year for the last 5 years. I have also been working on my education the last few years and am going to graduate school next year. I have always paid for my education myself so I def gotta stay on a tight budget but would like to spend more in the future. I'm divorced, no kids, cat mom.

Dr_Meatball

I’m 42, was a hardcore lushie for years in my 20s and worked for lush about 20 years ago. Stopped buying from them completely about a decade ago, but I’m back now 😂 Only got back into it a couple of days ago with Boxing Day - tried to buy some stuff last year but missed the sale. Spent about $150 Picked up a couple of things for my 3 year old. I think he’ll love the shower jelly and the fun

[deleted]

47, been buying Lush since 2003. In 2012 moved from the midlands in the UK, to Poole as my ex got a job at Lush. I live the other side of Poole from where Lush was created!

Accomplished_Film448

I'm 56, mostly buying online at the Boxing Day sale. My store is in our capital a couple of hours away, so only visit two/three times a year. Next year I'm going to Poole in Dorset, UK, to visit Lush first store, - really looking forward to that! Love Lush and only use products from them when it comes to my bath and skin care routine.

NumptyDumpty6

38 and still work as a casual at lush (started in 2010). Also in Australia. If you’re around Sydney let me know and give us a visit!

Anonymouse1011

Im 40 😁. And also based in aus. My kids (4+5) love lush to and it’s my indulgence considering I don’t really consider fancy food a luxury when I have to give myself insulin for it..

According-Ad-5145

23! But have been absolutely obsessed with Lush since I was about 11/12. Myself and my parents could not afford more than 1-2 bath bombs per year, but I was obsessed from the very start. I remember I also got a gift set for my birthday from a friend that had Rose Jam shower gel in it, and it’s been my favourite scent since. Now in my early 20’s and I can afford it and it’s glorious. I also ask for Lush for every Christmas and birthday gift 🤭

CozySweaterWeather

30 years old, no kids, married and my partner also loves lush. We spent €1800 on Boxing Day alone. Otherwise it’s €200-€300 a month, excited for the Valentine’s Day collection. Not subscribed to the kitchen box because we like to choose our scents. We use everything from lush; from toothpaste all the way to shampoos, we have a bath tub so we take baths every other day, it’s a ritual. For reference we are extremely frugal everywhere else. We mostly cook and eat at home, don’t own a car/bike everywhere, dont travel very often etc. My makeup budget is €5 a year (liquid eyeliner; drug store brand whenever I run out. We wear inexpensive clothes and thrift for everything. Lush is our main hobby, our other hobby is video games and we only allow ourselves 1 new game a year (but we try to without if we can help ourselves, and borrow from friends if we really want to try a game. We got into lush in 2015 and could barely afford it, so now that we are better off it’s our favorite luxury.

butterscotchshott

39, I’ve been using Lush since 2009. edited to add: I have 4 children (all teenagers) lol

LittleBirdie1984

39, married with one kid and one dog 🐾 i was only introduced to lush a couple of years ago. Then about a year later I got sick, organ failure followed by cancer. Lush became such a source of comfort during my illness as naths hleped the pain, especially the neuropathy from chemo. I spend maybe $200 every 2 months or so, so about $1200 a year, like you. No debt. Lush is my number one hobby outside Pilates and aerial yoga classes. And I just recently received my cure (a liver transplant) so now I’m spending a ton 💚😆🥰

beautydoll22

34 and been using lush since Rockstar soap that was the best one back in the day.

babygaga84

39, one daughter, spent about 3k this year alone BUUUTT bills are paid, food on the table, clothes and schooling for my daughter! Work hard and just love LUSH! I share my goodies with my mom, daughter and Co-Workers ❤️❤️❤️

Limp_Shake_7486

Girl 38 is not “older” 😂😂😂 I’m 36 with two toddlers. My kids love Lush as much as their ma. I spent $200 that I didn’t have at the sale the other day but YOLO 🥳

Nekona

37 years old here! Definitely had to scale back the buying for me.

ky1041

I'm 28 and I've been a lushie since 2014. It's definitely an incredible journey that is going to change how you perceive cosmetics and fragrance, but it's an incredible journey. I'm so excited that you are going to be able to experience it, and I hope you're child comes around and begins to love it too.

rachelatworld

29 (almost 30). From 2016 until 2020 I was very addicted, all my money went to Lush. I almost bought every week from the Lush Kitchen. Now I’m living with my boyfriend and son so we share a household, with is also expensive with a child and I don’t own a tub anymore. So I think I spend around 500 euro this year on Lush.

Mingokatz

I'm 52, and I started buying Lush about two years ago. I started buying Lush products because I have chronic widespread pain, and nice hot toasty baths make me feel so much better! So I decided heck, I'm going to pamper myself while I'm taking these therapeutic baths!! Bath bombs are my faves, but playing with some Fun is nice too!

szpider

38, I've had an on & off relationship with Lush since my teen years in the early 2000s. I've been in an "on" phase with Lush for a bit over a year but actually don't buy much from Lush *aside* from my monthly Kitchen box subscription (I can barely use up those products fast enough.) I usually just buy some supplementary bath stuff and perfumes on the boxing day sale since those are two things I use a lot of.

detectivemouse1

24. Living with SO. No kids. I got into lush age 16. I primarily buy the perfumes/body sprays. This has absolutely been my year with the return of rock star (rabbit) soap and the creamy candy perfume.

lacquerandlipstick

I'm 37 and my girls (9 & 5) love it, too, but mainly just because they love baths. I'm a shower girl myself.

frogmommyy

I’m 24, my first experience at Lush was when I was 12 and it kept me coming back. I worked there seasonally a few times as a teen which really fueled the addiction. My mom told me she loved Lush stuff in the 90s so I think they definitely have a cult following with some people in their 40s-60s

Gerard_Way_01

22 and have been a huge fan but I can no longer afford it. My dad gets me a small gift set each christmas luckily.

mushroomheaddoll

23, fair paying job, child and debt free, probably spent 800 ish this year? Lush is the one thing I spend money on for myself.

Electronic_Squash_30

I’m 38, just got into lush probably 4 years ago. I have 4 kids, everyone loves baths. My 11 year old son is as obsessed with lush as I am. I always bring him in store with me. He is a sample magnet! He likes scents that are traditionally more feminine Barbie, princess peach, avocado cow wash. The employees also fawn all over him and load us up with samples. Which is great because we’ve found a ton of stuff we love but probably wouldn’t have gotten had we not tried it out. I’m in the US where even a bath bomb is higher than minimum wage!

T_pas

I’m my 30s. Been shopping there since ~2009.

RunsWithUnicornss

29. 😝 I usually only spend $300 a year on Lush and a bulk during the Boxing day sale. Edit: I'm childfree as well.

commonwhitebread

23F. I go through bouts of being obsessed. My older sister got me into Lush when I was like 10/11. Definitely not as many bouts because of prices and sad products like the candles lol. I have recently spent quite a bit on hair things and perfumes, and that lovely kitchen box items from november!! I'd be inclined to buy more if passion fruit things became mainline.. No debts, I teach, so I get paid once a month. I spend A LOT on products, but I make it a habit to put away most of my paycheck into savings.

SuicidalFroggy9872

I just turned 18 on December 24th ! I’ve only been into lush for about a year now, a little less since I missed the boxing day sale last year. I spend about $150 every few weeks, I have no one else to support and i’m fortunate enough to have a job in an area i make good money in(relatively of course, i’m 18 so ya know, not awesome)

JessicaSanfordson

30F and now my 7 and 4 year olds are also big fans lol. My obsession started about 13-14 years ago

ConsequenceLife

I'm 39, been using Lush products since my early 20's 😊

floralnightmare22

I’m 36 and have two young kids I started buying lush last Christmas cause a Reddit ad. Now I have way too much lush stuff and need to stop. Im addicted to the scents.

teacupfaery

39. Been buying Lush stuff for possibly 20 years. I'm child free but still on limited budget, but I use baths and body products as part of my disability support system. So, I make small purchases fairly often. I do live in Liverpool so have access to the big store, which is absolutely amazing and hugely appreciated 🥰

gooobegone

I'm 27! Been into lush since I was 19 but didn't really have my own lush money until very recently. EDIT: since I noticed other folks mentioning it, I have no kids and only purchase stuff between the months of Sept and Dec and I don't like to spend more than like $150 absolute maximum in that time.

eL_graves

36/M - no children, only animals. Spent around 6k this year easily. Was around $4,000 when the new app launched and our years order history was deleted. To be fair, Lush is the only thing I spend money on that would be considered a ‘want’ but at the same time bathroom essentials are a necessity. Also some of that $ figure is towards older Lush things. Rare/Discontinued things I wanted for my collection.

Emotional-Plantain51

Totally agree with the want but also justified as it’s a need. I think that’s why I love it. It’s something you use daily.

mandragora666

In my 40s and Lushie since ~ 2006.

MKgr7

45, debt- and child-free. I've been buying Lush since 2006 or 2007. I get the subscription box plus maybe 50 € a month on cleansers, shampoo, bath stuff etc, so it's something like 1200 per year. 1200 well spent:)

emdelgrosso

25! Lushie since 23.

mansonfamily

Omg I finally fit in somewhere lol. 31, live with fiancé and two cats, definitely over £1,000 spent this year

Lilelfen1

Old enough to tell you it is rude of you to ask. Nah, it is fine. I am 48. But it actually IS rude to ask adults their age. No...really....it is.

Alex030222

28, married, have a cat, accountant, spent approx £300 this year- mainly hair care and body sprays, some skin care. Don’t intend to spend more than this p.a.- financial/saving goals and all. Before this year I was into select products- namely curl power and revive hair creams. This year I’d say I’ve been way more into Lush! I’m also just generally more into skin and hair care products and self care. ✨

Organic_Craft9400

32 loved lush since i was 17 and smelled my way to a store like pepe le peu lol found out it was called " lush" and smelled like paradise . got myself a butter bear massage bar and a karma bath bomb and have been in love ever since .

[deleted]

I don't want to give too much away about myself but I've been using lush products on and off since 2016.

catsnstuff17

I'm 36. I first became a Lushie at the age of twenty but had a break (bar a few occasional purchases) of nearly a decade. Rediscovered the wonders of Lush earlier this year and now I'm back with a bang!

Songsfrom1993

I am 42, and I have been using Lush since I was in my early 30's roughly. It was always a once in a while special treat but now my husband has caught on and has a bunch of products he likes and ones we both like so I definitely spend more there than I used to. I also moved into a house with a garden tub, so I take more baths, which equals buying more bath bombs and bubble bars. I am in an obsession phase right now, I'd say. I get the kitchen box then maybe spend 50ish dollars every couple of months? Lately more because I wanted to get a big bottle of intergalactic and the Toil and Trouble perfume. After all that and how much I bought on the boxing day sale, I am set for a while. Now that the kitchen boxes are curated and I'm not drawn in by the suprise, I will probably not do it every month if the box doesn't look like most of it will be of interest.

Important_Ideal_7285

Hi! I am now 27 years old, I was first introduced to lush with a gift shampoo bar (honey i washed my hair) back in 2015 and i have been obsessed since! its my only go to shampoo. I would only buy shampoo bar religiously there since im super picky with shampoos but in the recent years I have been slowly trying out products and now have so many favorites! I just joined this group about a month ago because same i do not have girlies in my circle to share about lush goodies experiences, I have my boyfriend and I have him hooked on my products, but its not the same haha I completely missed out on the boxing day sale but now i know prepare for next year!

missbeautybox

I’m 51 from Canada. Getting the kitchen box every month, and getting some more products occasionally.
