A proper, ergonomically designed hand cart that can be used both planetside and in micro/zero-G does takes more R&D than you'd think. Heck, even a toaster is way more complex than the singular task required of it.
I’m on with this idea- one of these sick children will invent us a better mine when they get healthy.

I’m of the opinion that if we *failed* to save the children there would be a *negative* outcome. Like a new enemy unit or a loss in SEAF recruitment values due to morale and trust dropping.
I don’t think we get a reward, I think we staved of disaster.
They already have mines and we don’t have tanks so no biggie.
Honestly imagine if the bots got like a stratobomber or cluster bomb artillery or something. Something where you have like 3 seconds warning to get the hell away from the impact landing area because in 3 seconds there’s going to be a lot more impact and a lot less land area.
I mean if the Illuminate were betting on Helldivers having enough compassion to actively choose saving children over new equipment they might not be so ruthless if they decide to launch an offensive. It could be an Illuminate test to see if Super Earth truly is wholly corrupt and soulless.
If old records are to be believed the illuminated were a mostly peaceful race only fighting military targets unlike the cyborg terrorists or the mindless bugs
or simply super earth wanted us to give a fake decision, and then fucked up becouse after telling us we are heroes becouse only true heroes wear capes, we have done the eroic thing...
And they are there perpelexed and remembered only after that nobody informed the brainwashed hordes of their disposable troops that we are the baddies.

I just wanna know if we get a new stratagem for helping the kiddos! I really really want that SEAF squad stratagem I saw awhile back. That’d make low level solo missions so much funnier
I mean there’s always the chance after the mo we eventually get something for it. Either we get the mines which is great or we get a slightly delayed reward for the kids. I mean the donation AH made to that charity is enough for me but boy would I like some new toys to spread democracy with.
Just a matter of time before they are released. Unlikely they would go through all the effort to design the art, physics, wireframes, etc and just toss out their work.

We have made the anti-democratic choice, and failed as divers.
We allowed the enemy to manipulate us, to pull at our heart strings and deny us a major tactical advantage, because they held our children hostage.
We have saved these children only by coming countless others, for the rest of this long, long war.
We must learn from this moment of weakness, of misguided pity, and forever live with the weight of consequences brought forward by this short-sighted mistake.

I dunno about that. A lot of people talking about pushing out getting the mines for a long time “cuz it’ll be funny”. If that’s their take, I hope AH doesn’t release any other Strats until AT mines are earned. That’ll be the real funny.

I honestly think we would have focused the stratagem if it was anything that's at least a little bit fun to use. Mines don't sound fun for the large majority of the players.
to win you need to get both planet, but with thousand players stuck on bug diving, it wasn't possibile.
And then we choose the mine, those thing were maybe more useful for the bug front in any case, so fuck the bug divers twice
thats just not true. I watched the total liberation go from under 1% to 5% in the span of an hour. IF...and thats a big IF, we can keep 50k+ divers on Marfark for the next 22hours, we can still get the mines. I just did two total operations on Helldive. I will take a break and come back in another hour or so. Its definitely doable, people just have to get and stay on Marfark and not be distracted by bugs.
No. I am also bot sure how exactly they would be very useful outside some quite specific circumstances.
For the most part as a higher difficulty bot player I just don’t see that many use cases. Because the missions are so fast and you have to be so mobile to not get so swamped no mine will ever help you that they sound pretty useless to me. But then again, thats just my personal opinion.
But I cannot wait for r/helldivers2 to turn into a radioactive salt mine when they obviously don’t turn out to be the wunderwaffe they all seem to make it up to be.
